This is a multi-generational family property, also home to two friendly dogs, a one-eyed cat, and a lively bunch of chickens. You’ll be tucked away in a semi-private, flat gravel site bordered by fir trees, with easy access and plenty of turnaround space.
Enjoy scenic walks right from your site—only 5 minutes to Elk Lake Beach for swimming, paddling, or casting a line, or head to Bear Hill Regional Park for a rewarding 20-minute hike through fir and arbutus forest with stunning views from the top. You’re also just 10 minutes from world-famous Butchart Gardens and the charming Butterfly Gardens along the way.
Ideal for **1–2 night stays**, especially for couples or small groups (up to 4 people total) looking for a restful, nature-connected stop en route to Tofino or around the Island.

Driving in along the winding and steep driveway, you will arrive on our unique property and find rocky, moss-covered bluffs, and fern-carpeted forests. Across these settings are two private campsites for one to choose from. There are no toilet facilities at our site so you will have to bring your own toilet.
There is a lot to do in the area for outdoor adventurers, including walks along the Galloping Goose Trail, many local beaches, as well as biking and hiking trails right off of the ranch. You can visit picturesque local villages close by, as well as head to one of the local lakes for a day of swimming.
Bring your own tents and van/truck campers. We can accommodate vehicles under 22 feet (water hookup available). You will be parking on loose gravel and the site requires levelling.

Navit’s camping grounds are great! They’re in a great location, super close to Shirley Delicious and the highway. The camp spot it’s self is nice and roomy, private and with the out house close by. And with the addition of the gas fire place it was a perfect spot to relax for the night.

A truly special stay. The directions and GPS coordinates were clear, access was easy, and the dome felt wonderfully secluded, surrounded by the river, open fields and forest, with virtually no noise or traffic.
The dome itself was spacious, beautifully designed and exceptionally clean. We even had a thunderstorm overnight, and it remained completely comfortable and secure inside. The wood stove, generous blankets and available heating options made it very cozy.
The outdoor shower area was an unexpected highlight, with hot water, a sauna, seating and a peaceful space for yoga or simply relaxing. The surrounding area also offers beautiful forest trails, kayaking and canoeing nearby, while a charming little town with cafés, a bakery and shops is only a short drive away.
Arie was warm, accommodating and genuinely welcoming. It felt less like renting a property and more like being invited to enjoy something he had thoughtfully created. Peaceful, romantic and full of character, we left wishing we had stayed longer, and I would absolutely return.

We had a fantastic time, three nights at Elderberry Campsite. The site is tucked away on the property and surrounding by wildflowers with lots of privacy. There's a huge tank with drinking water, a picnic table, and a neat and clean compost toilet. Navit was a super inspiring person, very hospitable and fun. She's setting up an amazing project on her farm and has done a lot of work with flowers, vegetables, architecture and design. The place is also close to Victoria (1 hour) and several great beaches/trails like Juan de Fuca. There is no cell service (at least our phones didn't catch a signal) but Navit provides WiFi access for a small area outside near her house. We didn't use it because it's fab to be off the grid for a while and we enjoyed the duck pond, birdies and serenity of the place. We can only highly recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to Akasha
Arie was an awesome host and a genuinely nice and generous person! His property is epic, and the dome was super nice inside! You can tell he put a lot of work and effort into creating a beautiful space for folks to enjoy. The experience was certainly worth the price; I would say he is almost underselling it as it far exceeded our expectations based off the photos. Bear Lake is also only a 10-minute walk away and a really nice swimming hole. I brought an engagement ring with me on this trip, and I have been waiting for the right time to pop the question; at one point in the dome the afternoon sun was lighting the space so beautifully. I knew the moment was perfect and she said yes! This place will be forever special to us :) We will be coming back for sure.

We loved staying here! Elk Lake and over 10k are just a few hundred feet down the road, and we took our dog on the road there a couple times a day. Jody’s land is beautiful and the camping spot is small but cute. The surrounding area has a nice rural feel but it’s surrounded by fun local (eg not Victoria) activities: wine tasting, cidery, great farm stands, the HCP and Butchart Gardens. Jody was quick to respond via the app too. We look forward to another visit someday.
The spot is about 50 feet / 15m from the nearest road, and during the daylight hours there is traffic you’ll hear. It didn’t bother us, and after dark it dies down to nothing.

Weekend Trip to The Rad Shack
We had an absolutely amazing time staying at The Rad Shack! The property itself is nestled into a gorgeous forest which provides a secluded and peaceful atmosphere. Not only is the cabin magical with a cool and cozy feel, the deck is an awesome space which we could enjoy no matter the weather. Although we loved everything, our highlight was certainly the woodland trail leading to a quiet and beautiful shoreline. We had such a fun stay at this incredible place and we can’t wait to return!

We camped with our camper van on Jody’s land this weekend. It was located just outside of Victoria around elk Lake. The land is in a wooded area, and our site was very secluded. We were quite comfortable, and would definitely recommend recommended to others who want to be just outside of Victoria!
