Weekend Trip to Faded Flannel Farm

A wonderful stay with Joanna and Jeff. We were welcomed with freshly-baked cookies after arriving late due to traffic, much-needed for our hungry child! The site is very clean, and we loved the wash station and the super clean Portapotty. The campsite is easy to find using the instructions Joanna and Jeff sent. We really appreciated the chairs and table you have for guests. The wildlife and flowers were beautiful - we saw and watched several deer. All in all, a great stay - thank you!

It's my second time camping at this place. First time I had a different site. It's a good camping place, easy to find, not too crowded. You may see other campers there. The distance between sites is good enough. I can recommend this camping place and I would camp here again. The host is responsive.

3 nights at Dusty Acres

Our first Hipcamp experience and it won't be our last. What a treat to be away from the mass camping of the Okanagan and to simply enjoy the quiet and solitude. Hosts, Sue and Randy, were wonderful and so accommodating. Randy supplied us with fresh pheasant eggs. Yum. The dogs were super friendly, the baby alpacas were adorable. The river was quite high so we couldn't enjoy the full experience of river and beach however we will definitely come back later in the year. Thank you Sue for the kayaking tips. I'll be in touch for future trips!

We loved staying on Ginny's land! It felt like we had our own private prairie for 5 days. I loved how close to Vernon Cuddly Cat Farms is, it made it very convenient to have fun. It's also close to a few wineries and a lake for paddle boarding! The shop/gym up the hill was lovely (very clean) for showers and so nice that she provided potable water at the shop. Just make sure you don't use the water near the campgrounds, it is not potable and not marked as such (that did kind of mess us up at first). Her cats were kind but not intrusive. The gym seemed really nice and a good price if you want to use it! I would definitely stay here again :)

Very peaceful spot in the country! We have a 20ft trailer and had no problem getting in and out. Ginny is super cool, was there when we needed her and gave us space to chill. It's 5 minutes from town which is great. Only con would be the water quality, it's potable and safe but super softened. Overall though, we would happily stay again.

I loved the view of the vines from the camp site. Campsites itself needs a little TLC but you can see the effort. It was a great experience. The beaches close by are awesome as well.

Back Forty Vineyards

Come camp on a 40-acre parcel backing onto crown land mountains and wake up in front of 10 acres of vineyard and a view of Okanagan Lake! There is a small cabin and two camp sites to choose from. Site 1 is best suited for tents and small campervans, less than 18' or so (though people with small trailers like tear drop campers have been fine). Site 2 has a much larger flat area that can hold RVs up to 30'. Cabin available for those that want to sleep in a cozy bed and have a warm fire :) Outhouse on the property, which is just a pit toilet. It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know! Our property is located in Peachland, BC. Positioned midway between Kelowna and Pentiction, it is the perfect location to draw from both population centres and is well-positioned to act as a hub for popular wine and other agri-tourism activities. Peachland is within easy reach of over 200 estate wineries and microbreweries.

Village Hub Farm Campground Located in the north Okanagan 5 minutes from Armstrong and 15 minutes from Vernon. We recently bought this charmingly rustic old farm property and are in the exciting process of bringing it back to life. Our address is 1945 Otter Lake Cross Road, Armstrong. It has a lovely forest area, alongside sprawling fields that are dotted with beautiful wildflowers throughout Spring and Summer. Another delightful feature of our home is a swamp that displays a spectacular array of bird wildlife in the spring and early summer. A bird watcher’s dream! And, if you are lucky, you may even see deer, beaver, bear, coyote, Marmot, or Western Painted Turtle roaming the property, all have been seen on the farm at one time or another, so keep your eyes peeled! We are close to amenities but are far enough out of town to provide a quiet and restful retreat from the hum and drum of every day life. We are popular for family reunions and specialty gatherings such as card or game tournaments. Summer in the Okanagan. Come and enjoy the scenery, fresh peaches, cherries, watermelons, veggies and other locally grown delights when in season. We have a 6 acre farm in the hills of Joe Rich. It’s a beautiful combination of open meadow and mature forest, with a seasonal creek and pond. The property is full of many varieties of native plants, flowers and trees. Above the trees you can see the peaks of Little White. We also get wild animals that come to visit every now and then; bear, cougar, lynx, coyote, deer and owl to name a few. There is a communal firepit and kitchen area, central between our current campsite and other future campsites. You can enjoy hiking on the High Rim Trail nearby or maybe an off road adventure. James Lake is only 11 kms away for some summer kayaking or paddle boarding and Big White is only 1/2 hour away hosting all the summer and winter fun!. Lots of beautiful areas to explore nearby. Our location tends to be 6°-10° cooler than in Kelowna, which is a welcome treat on those warm summer days. There is also, almost always a breeze.
