We have 3 private campsites with stunning mountain views perfect for a small trailer, or self-contained camper van/tent.
Guests can enjoy biking, fishing, hiking and wildlife watching all nearby. We also have a white sand volleyball court to relax and enjoy some friendly competition with your camping partner at the end of your day.
Please note that there are no amenities available at the campsite. Campers will need to have a self-contained vehicle and leave no trace. We are dog friendly and request that dogs remain under their owner's control at all times and on leash.
We do not allow campfires as our home burned down last year in the McDougal Creek fire as well as a lot of the neighbourhood so we don’t allow any fires or smoking cigarettes on the property.
We will be building our new home during the summer but the build is a bit away from where the sites are so it shouldn’t be an issue. But this is forwarded as we know that this is a priority for us as so we won’t stop building even if we have campers, so we just want everyone to know this in advance!

We had an amazing stay over the New Year and absolutely loved this place. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, thoughtful, and attentive, and the tour of the guesthouse and property was a great touch.
The property is stunning and the guesthouse was larger than expected, which was a lovely surprise. The wood fireplace created the coziest vibe, but the real highlight was the wood-fired hot tub — tucked into the forest beside the rushing river, surrounded by fairy lights and total quiet. Cold dipping in the river and then warming back up in the tub was pure magic!
Meeting the horses and dogs was also a bonus, and the location is the perfect balance of feeling remote while still being close to town. We’d happily return and highly recommend this place to anyone!

They were very welcoming and made us feel right at home quickly. The guesthouse was very clean and had everything we needed for our weeklong visit.

From the moment we arrived, we knew Salmon Arm Camping Resort was something special. This isn't just a place to park your RV or pitch a tent; it's a family-run gem that feels like a true home away from home. The warmth and genuine hospitality of the owners and staff are what truly set this resort apart. They greeted us with a smile and were incredibly accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay.
The resort itself is a perfect blend of peaceful nature and fun amenities. Our site was spacious and private, nestled among beautiful, tall trees, providing a serene escape after a day of adventure. The facilities are top-notch and impeccably clean, from the well-maintained washrooms to the sparkling pool. The kids were entertained for hours with the mini-golf, playground, and pickleball court, while we enjoyed relaxing by the campfire at our site. The on-site store is a lifesaver, offering a fantastic selection of ice cream and other treats.
What we love most is the fantastic location. It feels secluded and tranquil, yet it's just a short drive to the beautiful Shuswap Lake and the town of Salmon Arm, with its charming downtown, great restaurants, and access to a wealth of outdoor activities. We spent our days exploring local hiking trails and relaxing at the beach, knowing we had a cozy and welcoming campsite to return to.

We loved staying on Denise and Korys property and getting to stay in Periwinkle was absolutely fantastic. They are incredible hosts and the property is large with plenty of tree coverage for those hot days and a beautiful beach right at your toes. We had our dog Rundle out who couldn’t have been happier to sleep in the shade and swim every day. Lots to do and see in the area that’s worth checking out! We’ll be back!

My wife, 12 year old son and I stayed at Creekside Caravan for a night on our way between Vancouver and the Kootenays. It was absolutely wonderful and would definitely recommend staying here. Mike was an awesome host, communication wise responsive and very easy to work with. Upon our arrival Mike greeted us, showed us around, made sure we had everything and then left us to our own. The caravan is very nicely designed and super comfy. You could tell how much thought and effort went into all the little details that make it so warm and inviting. We had everything we needed to cook some eggs, make coffee, etc. We had a chance to enjoy the fire pit, feed some chickens and slept amazing with the running water of the creek nearby. While we were there we thought to ourselves we could have just planned our whole vacation here and not just a one night stop ;) There is always next time!

The hosts are incredibly welcoming and responsive to any requests or concerns. Periwinkle is very cute and the lake is fabulously clear and warm. Do remember that this is a 50+ year old vintage trailer so do go with the appropriate expectations as to little quirks and foibles. It was an overall charming and pleasant experience.

“Absolutely loved our stay at Basecamp Caravan! Liana welcomed us warmly when we arrived at night, and the cozy camper spot by the creek was peaceful and scenic. Morning chats with Liana and Mike over breakfast were such a joy. We adored Indee and Marvin (the sweetest dogs), meeting the hens, and seeing Mike’s classic Range Rover restoration. We’d happily come back to enjoy the peaceful setting and great company all over again.
It’s the kind of place where you slow down, breathe, and truly enjoy the moment.

We enjoyed our stay in thier Periwinkle Trailer, the interior of the trailer is lovely and all set up for essentials. We LOVED the shuswap lake beach access only steps away from the trailer. The host's home is on the property as well but the 'private' grass/beach feel like you're on your own. We enjoyed the outdoor lawn games also.
The hosts uses a tractor to carry your items for you down to the trailer :) The hosts are very friendly and hospitable. She even surprised us with a small gift as she knew it was a special occasion for us. We can't wait to come back! Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay! Denise and Cory were incredible hosts—so welcoming and thoughtful. The vintage Airstream is beyond adorable, decked out with cozy touches and all the amenities you could need. From the comfy bed, mini fridge, BBQ, and stove top cooking! It was glamping perfection!
The site includes access to a private beach and BBQ area, and for just a few extra bucks, they’ll even set up an unforgettable outdoor movie night! Think 70s-style projector in a quaint little shed right beside the trailer, complete with movie-theatre popcorn. It was such a vibe!
There’s power, running water, and you’re minutes from a gorgeous waterfall hike. We brought our little Chihuahua, and he loved it too! The Shuswap community has such a welcoming, tight-knit feel—we felt right at home.
It’s the ideal lake getaway without all the hassle of traditional camping. They truly thought of everything so you don’t have to. Great price, beautiful spot, and hosts who go above and beyond. We’ll definitely be back!

This is the perfect campsite! The caravan is bright and cozy, with everything you need - a bathroom and shower, oven, fridge, cooking supplies, and more. The property isn't far from town, but it feels really peaceful and secluded. The creek is right there, so you get the sound of the water, and you can take a chair down to the water or enjoy the view from the wooden platform. We loved our stay in the caravan! The place was idyllic, perfectly situated outside of Kelowna, and all our needs were anticipated. The place was outfitted with amenities and even had cornhole and a barbecue. Our highlight was being able to hold and feed the chickens. My only regret is we only had a night to spend there, but we will most certainly be back!

This was THE best experience we have ever had with camping. The hospitality and everything included was worth far more than the actual price of the accommodation. Was not expecting that at all.

They let us use their property as if it was our own, gave us plenty of recommendations, even were great socialisers, considering you are respectful and willing to engage with them. Otherwise they will give you your space if you want it.
Hoping to be able to stay with them again whenever we go back to the Okanagan. Their property is beautiful, quiet and very private. So many complimentary food and fun things to do. They are top tier genuine nice people. I could not give them a better review. Any guests are lucky to stay with them and have a similar experience to us. 11/10
