We live on the property as well, up on the hill. We want everyone to have a wonderful experience but do also want you to have your privacy. What else? • Propane fire pit and tank rental: $45 per stay, with refills available for $40. • Tent rental: We have a 2-person tent for $20 if you want it for your stay. We absolutely enjoyed our time at Heather's farm. The RV spot was nice and secluded, but just a short walk to the washroom. We loved all of the social animals and space to roam with our dog. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to A piece of the salmon valley

We were a group of 6 in 2 camper vans and a truck tent and the site by the gazebo was great. We enjoyed the views and got to wake up to horses grazing in the pasture. There was lots of space, it was flat, and there was a campfire ring right there. Good group camping spot. Ken was also so friendly and helpful. Such a great host. Charlie (the dog) came to visit as well, so we got to enjoy his company each day too. Would definitely stay here again!

Really beautiful spot, both the site itself and the town super nearby, Enderby. We stayed at the cow pasture site which was tucked away but still very near the washrooms and everything else! The animals were also a lot of fun too lol. If you stay here say hi to Charlie the cat for me !!

Really enjoyed ourselves at Pink Pumpkin. Nice site, easy to back into with our 26' stem to stern travel trailer. Power and water- very peaceful. Host is very good in getting back to you if you have a question. Had a great looking buck come up to our window on our last morning.

We loved the camping there! The two hosts were super nice people and we ended up chatting quite a while while they showed us around. The campsite is very nice too: the pit toilet has a water bucket to wash hands and soap. Each campsite has a picknick table. There was only one other guest that night, so it was relatively privat. Would absolutely recommend.

Wonderful first time Hipcamp experience. I was solo camping at the Cow Pasture View site, and loved interacting with all the animals roaming around. My site had trees for shade, very quiet, and super convenient to the washroom and shower. Heather and her mom were very relaxed and welcoming; would love to come again.😍

Farm stays near Salmon Arm guide

When to go

Summer is peak season in Salmon Arm and the Shuswap region when families flock to the beaches and campgrounds around Shuswap Lake. As in many parts of Canada, fall is a good alternative, with mild weather into October. Spring weather is more variable, and from November through February, temperatures frequently drop below freezing, and snow is possible. You need winter tires or chains to drive the Trans-Canada Highway between October and March.

Know before you go

While you can find big-box stores along the Trans-Canada Highway, detour into downtown Salmon Arm for more local shops and eateries. West of town, stop into family-run Grass Root Dairies, which makes several varieties of gouda cheese.
Another good place to pick up fresh produce and other food supplies is Salmon Arm’s all-organic Farmers Market. It runs every Wednesday from May through October and every second Wednesday November through April.
To stay on the water, find a Salmon Area houseboat rental and cruise on Shuswap Lake.
