We are privileged to permanently reside on and be the stewards of 7 acres beside Shuswap Lake, Okanagan BC, in the unceded territory of the Sechwepmec peoples. We have been creating a homestead in harmony with nature over the past 11 years. We reside year round in the Post and beam straw bale home that was built in 2000. Our current project is building our “aging in place” hemp lime cottage. Once completed it is our plan to build an in ground greenhouse. Additional future plans include building for a music studio, further development of our food forest, and the offering of self development training workshops. Additional camping/rv sites will be made available in the coming years. We had a fabulous stay at the cabin. We loved how everything was milled and built by the owners. It was clean, quiet and so peaceful. We definitely plan to return. The hot pool was HUGE and had a great view of the stars at night. We came prepared with coolers full of ice, cooking utensils and made use of the provided bbq. There was a large fire pit and wood provided, although we ran out of time to have a fire. We enjoyed the wood stove heating and rustic nostalgic feeling. The outdoor shower and outdoor washroom were clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable and our son loved his space in the upper loft. We appreciate it is pet friendly, although this trip we left our dogs with a sitter :) This is a little piece of heaven!

The cabin was cute and cozy, with a warm indoor stove to keep the place warm. Lots of space with one mains bed and two small beds up top. We were there in October and we had the area to ourselves which was great, but it seemed the camping spot and Teepee were quite close to the cabin.

Better than advertise. The Kevin was new and clean. The wood stove kept us very warm and toasty. The firepit was well stocked with cedar cut offs . Hot pool was extremely relaxing and had a great vibe. We added a canoe to our trip and fished Gardom Lake. Excellent experience, we'll be back !

The forest bunkie was a perfect mix between hotel and camping. AC, electricity and sophisticated security all inside a beautiful cabin with bunk beds, custom wood furniture and a mini wood stove. It smelled amazing, just like the woodsy forest that surrounded it. Also, showers, toilets and laundry super close by. Lastly and best of all, they welcomed my doggie with treats, poop bags and dishware ! I wish could have stayed longer!
