Mabel Lake Resort, boat launch and Golf Club is a short 20 minute drive. Camping at Olich Creek Farm is unique and family friendly. Most of our rescued farm animals roam the property freely and absolutely love human visitors. Families with children will also enjoy the natural play areas the farm offers including a shallow creek and visits with our chickens and ducks. Your dogs or other small pets are permitted in the camping areas only as our herd is terrified of dogs. There is another large area (about 5 acres) where well-behaved dogs can run off leash. We have one RV site with septic, water and 50 Amp power and can fit a 40 foot unit and 2 totally private tent sites. There is a full washroom with tub/shower, toilet and wifi access in our old farmhouse which is complimentary during your stay. Should you find that your desired dates are already booked, please reach out to us as we may have a back up spot available. Please keep in mind we are an organic farm homestead that offers an agritourism experience. Welcome to a natural, convenient location with basic amenities on the West Kettle River! We have 300 acres including 1500 meters of river frontage with access to the surrounding crown land and KVR trail which runs through the property. We recommend arriving before dark so that you aren't complaining in a review how hard sites are to find at night, in the dark. Some sites may be overgrown generally a lawn mower is provided for your use. If you are looking for fully serviced campsites where the outhouse is closer than 250m, then you should just carry on! The KVR trail is the access to the property. From HWY 33 South, take the turn (West) onto Tuzo Main Road (about 7km's south of Beaverdell), then cross the wooden bridge over the Kettle River and take the first left onto the KVR trail (a long, straight flat gravel road) and follow for 1900meters. Mostly wide enough for one way traffic only, so please be patient and mindful of trail users on bikes, quads and vehicles. After driving down the KVR right of way about 1.2km, you will arrive at the farmhouse gates - there you will see a little sign for the campground on the tree, so keep going down the right away. Once you go another 600m or so, you will come to a homemade sign with an arrow pointing you left. Turn there and then make a quick right turn then follow the road. You will come to the large tree with a picnic table and two blue barrels marking site #10. Sites 1, 2, 3 ,4 are over at the river, the other RV sites 5, 6, 7, 8, can be any where around site 10 or in the loop. I can always bring the lawner mower over to cut the grass and weeds down just get a hold of me. We currently have 5 tent only sites on the river and 25 RV/Tent sites currently about 100m from the river. There are currently picnic tables with blue umbrellas for sites 1, 3, 4, 10. There is a small white table and chairs for site 2. RV's sites include sites #4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 - I can add many more RV sites. Just need to cut the grass/weeds. Fishing, hiking, exploring, bring your quads, dirt bikes. There's plenty of roads and trails ... Even a secret honey hole fishing spot not far away but that's hush hush only locals know about this gem. A camper told me recently he saw a massive fish (16+ inches), likely a rainbow in the Kettle.

Beautiful, peaceful setting, lovely view from the kitchen area. We enjoyed seeing/hearing the cows and sheep and some wild deer that wandered through. Bonus was hearing the coyotes singing at night. The common area kitchen area was set up very nicely. We enjoyed sitting at the picnic table playing games and having our meal there. Deanne generously let us stay in the yurt at site 5, though we had only reserved for a tent site. The campground is still a little rough around the edges, however. That’s understandable since this is their first year. They are still installing a horseshoe pitch and doing more landscaping. Right now it is not so great for tenting — no grassy spots to pitch a tent. And the common area is just bare dirt ground. But I’m sure it will be all nicely set up for next season. I would recommend this place.

Wonderful first time Hipcamp experience. I was solo camping at the Cow Pasture View site, and loved interacting with all the animals roaming around. My site had trees for shade, very quiet, and super convenient to the washroom and shower. Heather and her mom were very relaxed and welcoming; would love to come again.😍

We really enjoyed our stay at Heathers.there were so many animals the kids enjoyed seeing and petting them. It was so quiet. The camp sites are so far apart it feels like your camping by yourselves. We loved this stay! We were in the Mountain View camp spot, and it was flat and private with gorgeous views of the mountains. We loved wandering the property and seeing the horses, goats, cows, chickens and ducks. There is also the most peaceful little creek that you can sit next to. The best part is that we forgot to bring potatoes for our camp dinner, and there was a potato patch on site and we got to go out with Heather and pick our own potatoes. It was so great! This is a gem of a spot, and you won’t be disappointed.

Weekend Trip to K & J Acres

Beautiful, tranquil spot, only 13 mins from Coldwater . We woke up to the horses eating in the pasture and Jazz, the dog, placing a ball at our feet to throw! Our host Kathryn was very helpful and friendly. We had a plug in and fresh water along with a large flat pad area to park the RV & truck on. Kathryn is also a very fine artist , we left with three fabulous oil paintings!!

The site was great to stay at while attending the IPE. We were thankful to have a serviced site in the heat! I enjoyed walking down the dirt path around the corn field and sunflowers! And our dogs enjoyed the walks too!

The Camp site was fine. However, booking on the web site was difficult. The app on the phone did not work when we arrived at the Camp Ground. At other Camp ground we have visited we were able to reserve on the phone.
