Just 300 meters from the beaches of the Strait of Georgia, nestled on an acreage of family property is The Glamping Beachcomber. This oasis consists of a spacious canvas tent on a 900 sq’ fenced, deck 2 cots and mattresses set up under the 10x10’ canopy. Tent is well-furnished inside and out with an outdoor covered, supplied kitchen. Step off the deck and choose your path! If Oyster River is your destination, the nature trail will take you there. Stop along the way for a swim, picnic, paddle, driftwood fort building, maybe try your campfire building skills! Or meander above the shoreline along the driftwood covered shore on one side of you and past acres of distillery farmland and the Oyster River Estuary on your right. Where the river meets the sea just around the corner, it’s not uncommon to find a seal bobbing and heron near the shoreline, and maybe an eagle further out on the sandbar waiting for their seafood meal. To smell the forest, sea, and freshness of a flowing river all in one breath doesn’t happen many places, but it’s here every day. Deer, rabbits, herons and eagles are a near certainty right on our property. Currently there is a Great Horned Owl’s nest with 50 meters and you may catch sighting of the owlets. The bright sunny fielded forest alongside the beach blends together these experiences so seamlessly. 1 night at Private & Peaceful Escape

I had a great stay, and it really is a private and peaceful escape! The bed was super comfy, and the big windows look out onto Katie’s beautiful garden. The kitchen is well-equipped with all kinds of gadgets: an Instant Pot, air fryer, toaster oven, hot plate, microwave, coffee maker, and kettle 😄. The electric fireplace adds a cozy vibe when you’re relaxing on the couch at night. It was lovely meeting Katie and her absolutely adorable toy poodle, Rico. The suite is a perfect base for exploring the area, and I would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying here. Place was clean, had plenty of amenities and Katie communicated well! 10/10 will visit again

After this pic was taken, we added a 10x10 canopy (with walls), for sleeping, or getting some shade. Also, there is additional covered kitchen space. Space for all your sporting equipment, and if you want to bring 2 more people, you can pitch your tent on the deck. Let me know about additional occupants thanks!

7 nights at The Glamping Beachcomber

We loved the open-air experience of our glamping tent, located near a beautiful stretch of beach near Oyster River. We walked our dog along the community trail every morning, and we spent many evenings on the beach. The tent ambiance is cozy, with a cushy bed, armchairs, and even braided rugs on the floor. The "kitchen" is very basic but supplied all we needed.

3 nights at Quadra Vista Mountainside Farmstay

I really enjoyed my time at this place. The Yurt is lovely and really well built. It is comfortable and the shower is so cute! There is a toaster oven, coffee maker with coffee and sugar, plus cutlery and plates. There is water and a sink outside that has hot and cold. The wifi is pretty good, but cell service isn't. The driveway is very steep and rocky, so keep in mind when driving there. The bathroom is a walk from the Yurt on gravel. They are pet-friendly which is the best part! The owners were very friendly and kind. Overall, I really enjoyed staying here and would again!

Weekend Trip to The Glamping Beachcomber

We had a wonderful time. It was very relaxing. The property provides great access to the beach and lots of trails to hike. Even our dogs had a wonderful experience. The hot shower was nice. And the bed was super comfy! Thank you Mishel for a wonderful weekend.
