Site 3 - Mean Green's Farm
in Mean Green's Farm, MissouriNice flat land, friendly people, and a picturesque setting. And my first shooting star in years!
Past trip
in Twin Folk Farms, WisconsinWe needed a place to stay in the area and this was perfect. Super private. It's a strange bowl in the landscape that's ruggedly pretty. Simple and just what we needed.

Site 1 -16'-26' Bumper Pull Trlr
in Custer's Last Chance Rv Park, South DakotaWe'd happily stay here again
This is a simple field that your delightful hosts, Megan and Dan, are fancying up. It's worth taking the time to chat with them.
Near Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and the sweet town of Custer--where you should eat at the Sage Creek Grille--Dan and Megan are super welcoming and are real sticklers about a clean port-a-potty.

in Dahl manor, IdahoDahl Manor was just right. We were so happy to be there that the whole family and the dog ran around the field like a bunch of goof balls. It was such a relief, after a long day of driving, to just pull off the road, climb a tiny rise, and park our RV in a lovely, quiet spot.

Past trip
in Zion Wright Ranch Eco-Camp, UtahBeautiful place. I wouldn't recommend doing the dirt road at night, but we did and survived. We were in an RV and took it slowly. We were just happy to sit and look at the red and green mountains all day long and listen to the wind and the silence.

Joanna & John hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.

RV Site 4 - Authentic Kanab
in Ethel's Hideout, ArizonaWe definitely recommend
This was the final place we stayed after a VERY long, first-ever RV trip. We breathed such a sigh of relief as we came over the small rise and found raw, beautiful, rustic landscape. We needed a rest and we got one. The RV sites are immaculately kept and thoughtfully designed. Little touches show it was done with obvious care. Marci was super helpful and we got to meet "Marci's Mom" and she was very cool. These are nice people with a simple, just-right space and we would absolutely stay here again. We can recommend it highly, as well as the stargazing, and the great coffee and staff at Willow Canyon Outdoor Company just up the road in Kanab http://www.willowcanyon.com/.
Luxury lodging at aKa Stables
in Gorgeous Barn Property, OklahomaThis place was immaculate. It was a pleasure to spend the night. Lovely grounds and buildings. Simple. Easy. That's what we like.

MoonLight Grove Farm
in MoonLight Grove Farm, KentuckyWe highly recommend
This is a beautiful spot in a beautiful area right on the shores of the Ohio River. Susan and Larry were generous and interesting. It's a perfect spot to get away. Lots of cute farm animals.

Site 2 - Carter Mountain
in Carter Mountain, WyomingPeace among the cows
We lucked out. We texted Britt before we got there asking if there was a place for dinner and she said that her husband and she were working at the Cowboy Bar & Outlaw Cafe
that very moment. So we went there first and had the best steak we've ever had. And we got to meet our great Hipcamp hosts in person. Sadly, we weren't able to go to Randol's Southern Pit BBQ, our hosts' restaurant which wasn't open when we were in town (it's only open on Sunday and Monday, I think).
Then we drove to the site. It's a beautiful place. It IS an actual cow pasture, so there will be cow pats all around. You won't want to plan a rugby game or anything. The cows were very curious about us and very cute. In the morning they were all gathered around checking us out. That was an especially good added benefit for city dwellers.
