The property is close to the famous Bibbulmun track, with Harvey and Boddington equal distances away, so options to explore the region easily. As the day slips away, catch a beautiful sunset, as you toast marshmallows by the campfire (outside of fire restriction times). There are no toilets or amenities, so all campers need to be fully self-contained in that respect, with their own camp toilet and water, and we ask you to take all waste when you go. There’s also little to no cell reception at the sites. There is background noise from the nearby conveyer belt that goes on and off randomly. Some people take it as soothing white noise while others think it’s overbearing. Pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friend along. We are a hobby farm set on 100-acres on the North Dandalup scarp, with a few sheep. You will find kangaroos, echidnas, sometimes emus visiting our property. You can enjoy the great views into the horizon towards the Indian Ocean amidst the tall jarrah and gum trees. Campsites are set in the woodlands, some with views. It’s perfect for people seeking 'quiet' time away, but still near to amenities in the towns around here. You can take walks to experience forest therapy, have a campfire or canoe in the dams during wintertime. There is no power, water or toilet facilities so campers must be completely self-contained. You are expected to clear up and take all rubbish with you. Leave no trace. The terrain is rather hilly, hence a few sites are accessible only by 4WD (Sembawang and Changi). There are some sites that are still accessible with regular cars (Opera 1, 2 or 3; Tampines, Bedok). RVs and small caravans are welcomed. All vehicles have to stay on the paths, and not to make any tracks. The gravel road leading to our property is shared with neighbours who run horses. As such, please drive really slowly here so as not to cause the horses to bolt. During the summer fire season, fires are strictly prohibited! Dogs welcome (on leash).

It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region. There are friendly free-ranging chickens and Guinea fowl, a mischievous mini pig, friendly goats, sheep, and a family dog on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite (this is a working farm). THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY. The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site. CHILDREN - The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past). Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property. There are no cooking facilities available. Therefore, you will need to be completely self-sufficient including cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans. All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps. Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives). Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :) Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter. We can only accommodate a small number of campers, or groups of campers, at any given time.. so you have space, solitude and security for your family/group. You MUST be fully self contained WITH your OWN TOILET. Clear bore water for small tank fills can be arranged during your stay. NOTE: we do NOT have mains water and constant tap access is not available. Water refills need to be requested and you may need to wait up to a day. Sites are in open paddocks with some limited shade available. Dogs are allowed ONLY if kept on lead at all times. Sites 1 & 2: Suitable for small/med vans, motorhomes, camper trailers and MINI-buses. Could fit 3 families if you're with a group. Private site for your family/group only. Site 3 (Families WITH children): Large area that can take all size vehicles including big rigs and full size buses. This is a share site, so you may be sharing with other families (max 12 vans across 9 spots). If you wish to book for a large group, book as early as possible. There are also a HUGE number of factors that can affect your stay that I have ZERO control over... The seasons change a lot of things throughout the course of the year: we have snakes (like ALL Aussie bush places) for most of the year; an assortment of insects, according to their seasons; varying growth stages of grasses - long, short, brown, green and sometimes grass seeds/prickles.. along with some crazy weather on occasion (high winds, high temps, storms) - NONE of which I have any control over.. so if you are a moaning myrtle and any of those things are likely to bother you, please don't come to our property... oh, and roosters - we have them too! If you accept that you are staying on a working hobby farm and that I have no control over nature - then welcome, there is much beauty here for those who have the eyes to see - and as a base to explore the Perth area, we have a pretty convenient spot :)

We have 3 beautiful and secluded sites to offer, right in the heart of the Dwellingup State Forest, 1 of them on the banks of the Murray River. All sites here enjoy a minimum of 100 metres separation. We love all animals here at Nanga River Retreat and we'd love for you to bring yours along (Remember to book our pet friendly site – ‘River Camp’, and dont forget to bring your little yellow bags please). We also enjoy an abundance of wildlife traffic through the property. We would love to see all the Witches, Wiccans, and other Weirdos out there, we encourage you to book in for a spell. (pun intended) You'll fit right in. 🧙‍♀️ We invite discreet devotees of herbs, and mushrooms, to visit for a while, you will absolutely love it here, with privacy you just cannot get at the park 🤙 Come and find yourself, or maybe lose yourself, down by the river in Dwellingup, forest getaways dont get much better. Please Note; Loud drunkenness, anti-social behaviour, and rude misconduct will lead to eviction without refund, and reporting to Hipcamp. Also, no off-roading. No motor bikes, quads, buggies, or any other form of self-powered transport in the dirt. In-fact while you're here, any sort of hooning on the property will lead to eviction without refund and reporting to Hipcamp. So folks, the idea of this campsite and indeed of the entire property, is that it's intended as a tranquil and quiet retreat for those that wish it to be so. Thanks for understanding. A small advice for those bringing children, in fact for anyone that intends to swim in or be beside the water, this is a wild and unfenced river access area and all care should be taken in supervision. Freedom Farmstay - simple, back to nature camping for FULLY self-contained travellers. CHILDREN are always FREE... Quiet location on acreage in rural Baldivis (within the Perth metro area). We love our little tranquil piece of paradise... our little freedom farm, with it's beautiful natural spaces and menagerie of animals, yet close to lots of local amenities in Baldivis / Rockingham. We're just a 15min drive to the beach and 30mins to Perth city or Mandurah. We can only accommodate a small number of campers, or groups of campers, at any given time.. so you have space, solitude and security for your family/group. You MUST be fully self contained WITH your OWN TOILET. Clear bore water for small tank fills can be arranged during your stay. NOTE: we do NOT have mains water and constant tap access is not available. Water refills need to be requested and you may need to wait up to a day. Sites are in open paddocks with some limited shade available. Dogs are allowed ONLY if kept on lead at all times. Sites 1 & 2: Suitable for small/med vans, motorhomes, camper trailers and MINI-buses. Could fit 3 families if you're with a group. Private site for your family/group only. Site 3 (Families WITH children): Large area that can take all size vehicles including big rigs and full size buses. This is a share site, so you may be sharing with other families (max 12 vans across 9 spots). If you wish to book for a large group, book as early as possible. If you are looking for manicured, super flat areas or have a fear of animals - this is NOT the place for you. There are also a HUGE number of factors that can affect your stay that I have ZERO control over... The seasons change a lot of things throughout the course of the year: we have snakes (like ALL Aussie bush places) for most of the year; an assortment of insects, according to their seasons; varying growth stages of grasses - long, short, brown, green and sometimes grass seeds/prickles.. along with some crazy weather on occasion (high winds, high temps, storms) - NONE of which I have any control over.. so if you are a moaning myrtle and any of those things are likely to bother you, please don't come to our property... oh, and roosters - we have them too! If you accept that you are staying on a working hobby farm and that I have no control over nature - then welcome, there is much beauty here for those who have the eyes to see - and as a base to explore the Perth area, we have a pretty convenient spot :)

We stayed on lakeside camp 3. It is exactly as in the photo. We sat there with drinks both mornings to listen to the life on the lake. So many birds and a pair of Whistling kites living in one of the trees. Paul was a very friendly host. There are about a dozen free range chooks wandering about and they generally just hung out with us. We also wandered down to the wetland area to spot more birdlife. Was a lovely peaceful stay. The camp site is flat and large with a firepit provided during camp fire season. Would definitely recommend.

The instructions were clear, easy to find, very private and a lovely surprise to find a brand new kitchen shower, toilet and laundry facilities to use. Great also if your self sufficient but if your tenting it the facilities are terrific. The Tampines site at 100 acre wood is awesome. Stunning view from the top of the scarp, north west facing... so you get a pretty good sunset. It is very private... far away enough from the other sites that you feel alone. Surrounded by beautiful bush. The concrete slab was great too, didnt habe to worry about levelling or putting a mat down. Highly recommended
