You will have access to the entire property during your stay, complete privacy. Staying here, you are completely hidden from any other man made structure, immersed in nature. The property is located less than 2 hours from Sydney, 20 mins from Cessnock and the Hunter wineries, adjacent to Sugarloaf Conservation area. You'll love the morning and evening birdsong and be surrounded by the colour green by day. At night, be lulled by the music of the froggy symphonies, watch the moon rise over the forrest, and being mesmerised by the warmth and dancing light of a fire. Wallabies visit at dusk and dawn and a Koala has been heard calling at night. A 1km drive from the main road leads to the open living space. There are two cabins, just within sight of each other, a campsite with an outdoor kitchen shed and a large oval lawn. The Sky Cabin (blue) has a very comfortable queen size bed, a large deck, bbq, composting toilet, small equipped kitchen, solar lighting, hot and cold running water, an outdoor hot shower, and slow combustion fireplace inside. The Earth Cabin has an exceptionally comfortable queen size bed, deck, composting toilet, solar lighting, a slow combustion fireplace inside and running water outside a short distance away. If you want to include Belle tents in your booking rather than bring your own you have the option to add those to your booking and we will set them up for you with lighting included, though you will need to BYO beds and bedding. The campsite adjacent to the shed has running water, an outdoor shower and outdoor toilet. The property has short (circular) walks through the bush, and access to Sugarloaf Conservation area (with further walks and access to the Great North Walk). But its the ideal place to just chill. (Campfires) we have 5 fire pits on some of our sites , fires are permitted during the winter months. We also have 2 x 4 star cabins which sleep 15 between them, they are listed separately on Hipcamp. However the guests from both the camp sites and the cabins have shared access to the pool and facilities. Which includes a large under cover patio area. FRIENDLY PETS welcome. Cost is $ 199.00 Tennis - The local tennis courts are 1 Km away and can be hired for $10 per hour. I have some balls and racquets but you may wish to bring your own rackets as mine are not very new.

Weekend Trip to Wollombi Springs

Robert is a great bloke who takes looking after his guests seriously! From putting the fire and kettle on before we arrived, to making sure solar batteries were fully charged, or giving a walkie talkie guided tour as we drove in - Robert made sure we were comfortable and settled in. The shack is basic but functional with everything you need to cook up a feed and stay warm after exploring outdoors. It is ‘rustic’ so if spider webs or saw dust are on your no list then maybe book a hotel... The grounds are beautiful, we lost count of the different types of fungi we spotted, and I’ve never seen more wombat holes in my life. The bird song was amazing in the morning, but the best part was the outdoor bath under the stars. A great place that I’m keen to return to some day.

Weekend Trip to Cranky Rock Hunter Valley

We loved our stay. The place is beautiful and the hot tub is definitely a highlight. You can see how much love Lindsay and Pam put into the place to make it comfortable and cozy. Our dog had a great time in the nature as well! Definitely would recommend this stay for a couple looking for a relaxing weekend!

We stayed in the cabin and it was amazing. It is such an incredible location with great views and nice and secluded up the back of the property. Luke was a great host, he was very welcoming and friendly. We were also able to feed the highland cows which was such an incredible experience. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a weekend.

It’s tranquil, rustic and incredibly comfortable, with a peaceful atmosphere that helped me slow down and reconnect with nature. Everything felt authentic and unpretentious, making it easy to relax from the moment I arrived. Whether I was sitting around, enjoying the surroundings, or simply taking in the quiet, it felt like a genuine tonic for the soul. If you’re looking for luxury, this probably isn’t it. But if you’re after a beautiful, peaceful escape with character and charm, it’s hard to beat. I left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to returning. Weekend Trip to Hedley Hideaways - Thompson's camp

This hut was a great spot for a couple to join in with a group camp for someone that’s not a fan of camping. The hut has cooking facilities, a very comfortable bed, an electric fire as well as air conditioning and a great ensuite out the back with an amazing shower that some 5 star hotels could learn from. Seats on the balcony received a lot of use as well as the shade during the day for the whole group camp to gather under. The only thing to further improve the hut experience would be a bbq out on the verandah but other than, what an amazing stay.

It was one of the decent camping i ever have. All facilities are convenient, nice hosts(includes host’s daughter lol), genuinely clean and neat. I checked in a bit late but still kindly instruct me everything I need to know. Great milk, cave walk, bush walk. Everything was perfectly fit for camping beginner to expert. I would recommend and 100% coming back for exploring more :)

A lovely secluded cabin a few minutes walk from local amenities and pub. Great location to base yourself when visiting the area. Cabin was well equipped, as others have mentioned the outside shower is excellent and the fire pit was great for the cooler evenings.

Such a beautiful experience! We loved our stay here at Cranky Rock. The cabin is so unique with so many cool details, the more you look the more you find. The property is also incredible! We stayed with our dog who loved the horses and we also spotted multiple deer which I’ve never seen before so was thrilled about that. The hosts Pam and Lindsey were so welcoming and lovely, made us feel so at home. The best part, it’s dog friendly so you can bring your fur babies! We had such a great time here and thank you so much for having us 🩷

The cabins are comfortable, very well equipped, and have everything needed for a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Being able to enjoy the fire pit makes the experience even more special and relaxing. 1 night at Hakuna Matata Resort, Booral

We had a relaxing 2 nights in the cabin. Cabin was clean and comfy bed. There is also an outdoor kitchen area with BBQ, pizza oven ,fridge etc. A couch to lie down also. Firepit and outdoor shower (cold). The towns of Stroud and Dungog are a short drive away. Which we visited. The hosts are great, Keiran took us up to cabin and gave all info. Highly recommended.

Absolutely incredible location. Everything about the tree house was made with comfort and pure relaxation. The kangaroos that visit you are so sweet and was the possum. Lizards and birds, just beautiful. Heather, you have made that Treehouse a home for any to come, right down to the cutlery and beautiful bedding. Thankyou for designing a stunning tranquil home we have foreever remember this holiday, will be sure to be back again and again!
