Weekend Trip to Wedderburn Hideaway

I thoroughly enjoyed camping at Wedderburn. It was my first solo camp and i loved it. I stayed near the damn and was accompanied by Robert’s three doggos throughout my stay. The amenities such as the bathroom, pool and a shower was very accessible, and Robert also made sure that he was accessible should there be any issues. I will definitely come back again!

Weekend Trip to Warm Corner

What a great little cost-effective place to stay. The kitchen and bathroom facilities and the cupboard shed area for wet nights makes it an excellent location to stop. Some people have mentioned the smell in their reviews, we didn’t get any of this. But there is so much space undercover where I’m sure you can hide out if there was a smell and still enjoy yourself. We will stay again

We had a fantastic stay at Cobber Rest Camp Area. The spot is beautifully private and incredibly tranquil — the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet away from the crowds. Everything was well maintained, with plenty of space and a relaxing natural setting. It’s a real hidden gem for anyone looking for a quiet, private camping experience. Highly recommend!

This was the first camp in our new pod camper so spent a bit of time experimenting with the set up. Lyndall was very friendly and welcoming on our arrival and left us to settle in. We spent three nights at Melon Green and enjoyed it very much. Private and peaceful with beautiful views. Thanks Lyndall, we’ll definitely be back.

Loved this campsite. Even though it was only an hour from Sydney, it really feels like you’re away from it all. The facilities are awesome and the property is beautiful. We had the camping area to ourselves for most of the weekend but even with another group there it felt very private. Great access to Sea Cliff Bridge area. My dog also loved this place. I would love to come back!

Lyndall greeted us on arrival which was so nice and made us feel safe and welcomed. We found a cosy private spot down by the dam to relax for the night. So peaceful and surrounded by the beautiful sound of birds. We loved our one- night getaway. 🥰

The place is a nice option if you’re after a no-fuss camping experience without heading hours out of town. It’s close enough to the city to make a quick getaway feel doable, but still secluded enough that you get that proper “away from it all” vibe. The setup is simple and suits soft-core campers who just want an easy spot to pitch a tent without wrestling with the wilderness. There are plenty of amenities around — a kitchen with the basics, fire-compatible pans and kettles, and a great shower that’s a nice surprise after a day outside — so you’re not roughing it. The space has a relaxed feel that makes it easy to unwind. It’s the kind of place where you can switch off for a night or two without doing a full-on camping mission.

Wonderful campsite in close proximity to Princes Highway and Wollongong area. A true campsite amongst the trees it truly felt secluded and away from it all. We stayed at site 2, a short drive on the property. No issues with overhanging trees or any obstructions and was easy to drive down and turn around. Plenty of privacy and secluded from all else, the running creek is a joy to be beside. Fit pit provided, BYO firewood. Small slope to the site but not major or inconvenient. Would easily return and would be suitable for small groups of 2 or 3 to make a enjoyable camping experience.

Our stay with Robert was honestly amazing! The space itself was big, spotless, and really well set up. The shower?l and toilet really good. And the firepit area was such a vibe. The pool was chef’s kiss — perfect for cooling off and floating around. And the absolute stars of the place? His three adorable dogs who decided we were part of their squad and played with us the whole time. We were obsessed. Robert himself was incredibly kind, sweet, and super attentive — the kind of host who makes everything feel easy and welcoming. 100% recommended

Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. Maximum length is approx 5m. Please scroll through the photos to see our amenities and camping sites. 3. We limit the number of people staying at any one time, so weekends book up quickly. Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper. The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on. Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous. If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water. Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.
