Campfires can be enjoyed through the cooler months and when permitted by the Rural Fire Service Unfortunately our 3 metre cliff face river frontage prevents access to the river for activities such as boating or kayaking; nor do we offer farm style adventures. "The Riverbank" as a destination for a relaxing time to unwind or a base from which to explore the beautiful Hastings area. The Abundance Nursery and Cafe with it's splendid lily pond view is a great spot to enjoy a meal or a coffee and only 3 kms back along Rawdon Island road. The pretty country town of Wauchope is only a 12 minute drive and is home to Timbertown, a theme park boasting steam train rides and a glimpse of the timber getting industry of a bygone era. Public toilets are within easy walking distance in the local township of Long Flat where you will also find a great pub and general store to resupply (1 km from property entrance). The property features a gated entrance and graveled road for your convenience and safety. We have 13 designated van sites available with plenty of space for privacy. If you are booking with others, please let us know so we can site you together. We are unable to accommodate tent sites. The river is a perfect spot to swim, kayak or fish with plenty of wildlife around to see, river shoes are advised for your comfort. The river can sometimes be swollen and fast flowing. Please watch children at all times. Camping fires are only allowed outside of fire restrictions. Fires must be in a proper container / bucket. Please leave site clear. If you forage for wood please clear site of whats left before leaving This property is pet friendly though we do ask that owners leash and clean up after their fur babies. Dump points are located at Wauchope and Port Macquarie. We ask that all rubbish is taken with you upon leaving. Lovely quiet and well maintained camp sites on the bank of the Hastings River. Mid April, but still warm enough to swim in. The campsites are well spaced apart and have lovely views over the river and surrounding mountains. Perfect for a restful few days.

Weekend Trip to Myalls Away

A large grassed area with fire pits and water available. We stayed 3 nights and used it as a base to explore the area. Close to Seal Rocks without the crowds.

Myalls Away was the perfect place for us to stay over Easter. Only a couple of groups staying here and felt really private and like our own little campsite <3 Michael was super lovely!! and his pup Halo made sure to check on us at dinner time : )

Our second time staying here and we absolutely loved it!! Large flat area for camping and plenty of room. Theres also heaps of fire pits for use & drinking water available. We’ll be back!

1 night at The Riverbank

We loved camping at Riverbank-Pasture site 4. It was flat, level and not too far from the amazing camp kitchen and amenities block-the best, cleanest, modern and most elaborate we’ve ever encountered on hip camp. The camp allows only 4 campsites which were spaced out well giving privacy and space between campers. Beautiful views over the river, quiet and serene. Matt, the host was extremely welcoming ensuring we knew all about the site and answered all of our questions. Top spot. We’ll definitely be back.
