We have 245 acres with an area of bushland and other lovely areas with scattered trees, plus some open areas.
Currently we have a choice of camping areas for caravans and tents, some nestled in amongst the tree line. Other areas alongside the dam. We keep all the camping areas slashed for safety and to allow easier access to find a suitable camping spot.
We also have a hut available in the bush area. This hut is secluded and has its own outdoor private toilet.
There is no shower, electricity or fresh water available, however we do have a flush toilet at the camping and caravan site. Campers would need to be self-sufficient otherwise.
Please note we don't allow motorbikes, Quads or firearms on the property and there are no exceptions, sorry.
We run sheep on our property and have wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and echidnas. We also have farm animals such as cows, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, geese, and dogs. We have 8 dams, 3 of which have fish as well as yabbies throughout the year.
Fire pits located in designated areas and only to used during non fire ban periods and to be supervised at all times.
We're happy for you to bring your dog however you would be required to keep it under your control or on a leash and away from the sheep.
No motor bikes, quads, firearms permitted and no exceptions.
No diving off jetty
Supervise children at all times.
Water, dams, firepits, bushwalking and all areas can be dangerous.
Caution, dams may be dangerous, and water is deep.
Do not enter paddocks with cows and horses.

We offer spacious nature based campsites around our property, some with views of the mountains, bush based, or in grassy cleared sites with dam views.
Please note, to get to some campsites there is a farm track, we recommend 4WD or SUV to access those campsites. but plenty of campsites available for smaller vehicles also.
There are families of kangaroos that live within the property as well as some wild rabbits and hares. Keep your eyes peeled for an abundance of wildlife like kookaburras, owls, parrots and ducks.
Plenty more for nature lovers here, including bush walking and bird watching. We are located within 15 mins to Pejar dam for local fishing and kayaking (no motors aloud on the dam).
Just 10 mins into Goulburn CBD for all the local amenities, including supermarkets and boutique shops and galleries. We also have a variety of local playgrounds and parks to wonder like the wetlands for more nature and wildlife walks. For the kids, we have our newly finished aquatic centre with splash park, and two bmx pump tracks and skate parks.
We are located a short 20min drive to "Rambo" the big ram, which is on the list of big things located within Australia. Walk to the top and experience the local sheep industry history as well as shop local produce and giftware.
Located a 20min drive west to the beautiful country towns of Crookwell and Taralga, where you can find country pubs, boutique eateries and shops or why not visit Taralga wildlife park for your up close encounter with some animals.
Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads at ALL times as this is a working farm and protecting our wildlife is priorty.
You MUST bring your own camping toilet and be COMPLETELY 100% self sufficient with everything including drinking water.
We have a Leave No Trace policy, so ask that you please take all waste with you as we dont have a bin service.

Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys.
Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life.
The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. Enjoy a picnic in the magnificent Lake Alexandra Reserve or hike up extinct volcanic peak Mount Gibraltar.
The closest shops are approximately a 15 minute drive to the Mittagong Town Centre where you will find all the shops, cafes and restaurants for your needs. It is well worth a visit to ‘The Shaggy Cow’ cafe, one of our favourite foodie spots (don’t forget to mention Elouera Vale).
While you're here please try the Cool Climate wines. The region’s rich soil and high altitude are ideal for cool-climate wine growing. Visit cellar doors in the hills and valleys around Mittagong, including Centennial Vineyards. Enjoy a pleasant wine tasting experience at Centennial (don’t forget to mention us).
The Camel Cottage offers a luxe off-the-grid escape for couples just one hour from Sydney but feels like "miles from anywhere".
The Gums Cottage is a fully contained, off-grid modern getaway, surrounded by the magnificent white gum trees that are its namesake. The serene setting and stylish interior of The Gums provides all the essentials for a picturesque and peaceful country escape.

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround.
It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views.
As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles.
Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks.
We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with.
Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Grady’s Riverside Retreat was first established in 1979. The retreat is located 20 minutes west of Nowra and is set on 17 secluded acres on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven River, surrounded by natural bushland, mountains, cliffs and dairy pastures. This makes Grady’s Riverside Retreat an ideal place to bring your friends and family to relax, unwind and enjoy the scenery. Grady’s has over 500 metres of direct access to the Shoalhaven River. The river is deep and also is tidal which means we have a large variety of fresh and saltwater fish that inhabit these waters. Majority of our well maintained grassy sites are located along the river or have uninterrupted river views. With a boat ramp and beach areas for you to utilise at your leisure.
Grady's is a pet friendly Retreat and we also allow campfires. We strongly believe these few extra things are essential to create a true camping experience.
The park grounds are well maintained throughout the year. The amenities are fresh and cleaned daily. If you are the adventurous type there are many activities to offer in the vicinity such as canoeing, fishing, swimming, bushwalks, 4WDriving, bike riding, jet skiing, water skiing and much more. -The picturesque banks of the Shoalhaven River play host to the perfect escape from the burdens of city life. Only 2 hours from Sydney but feels like a world away. Wonderful location with a stunning view. My friends and I loved it! Instructions were easy to follow and both the sofa bed and main bed were comfortable to sleep on. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils we needed. There were also many other small bits and pieces provided that made our stay extra comfortable (camping chairs, books, etc). The unsealed road may be a little tricky to navigate but we managed to get there in our Hyundai i30.

Weekend Trip to Glamping Around An Ancient Tree
We absolutely loved staying here, it was so quiet and peaceful, we saw so much wildlife (birds, kangaroos and wombats!) right outside the door. The dome itself is beautiful - a perfect step up from camping, we still felt like we were immersed in nature but had the luxuries of a comfy bed and a private bathroom. Would highly recommend!

This is our second trip to Nos Astra it is perfect getaway for my birthday. I love being off grid and being able to “camp” in comfort and not need to bring everything.
Clean comfortable tidy place. Has most things you need, John’s instructions were very detailed and helpful. We drive a Mazda 3 and take the dirt roads with caution but road is accessible.
I love the view, the quietness and this year missed out on the star gazing thanks to the overcast clouds.

Weekend Trip to Silky Oaks Flower Farm
A very beautiful place with stunning nature. We really enjoyed the peaceful environment, it’s a great spot to disconnect, clear your mind, and properly relax. Everything we needed was provided and well organised.
One of the port-a-loos was unfortunately out of order during our stay, so we had to walk a bit further to use the other toilet, which was a little inconvenient at night. However, this was a minor issue compared to the overall experience.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay. The surrounding bushland was peaceful and beautiful. Friendly farm animals. The accommodation is simple but has everything you need, and the hosts are good communicators. House warmed up very quickly with the fire. Very nice sauna however the pond not accessible by the wharf as broken but you could get in from the side if you wanted. You can expect a few creepy crawlies given the setting. Thanks again!

We stayed here over New Year’s Eve and absolutely loved it. The cabin is beautiful, with large windows and stunning mountain views that make you feel completely immersed in nature. We slept incredibly well, it’s so peaceful and quiet. With a lovely walk down to the water, and we were lucky enough to see kangaroos during our stay. It was deeply relaxing and exactly what we needed to reset.
The cabin itself has a really lovely feel to it. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom and shower are great, and everything is thoughtfully set up for a comfortable stay.
One small note for future guests: let’s all take a little extra care to clean up after ourselves, so this special place and beautiful cabin can be enjoyed by everyone.
Highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

The tent we had was brilliant (great sleep) and tucked enough away If there were other campers, but we had the place to ourselves. Easy to find and excellent friendly hosts. The outdoor hot shower was a luxury, highly recommend

We had an amazing glamping experience! The host and service were excellent—very welcoming and thoughtful. The place is peaceful and perfectly located in the middle of nature, which made it truly relaxing. The host generously provided lots of free firewood and fresh eggs, which was a lovely touch. The tent was spacious and comfortable and my dog enjoyed the stay even more than we did! We were also given free BBQ equipment and gas, which made our evenings even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm getaway close to nature. Just make sure to bring enough drinking water.

We were amazed at the design of Bowery Dome it sits on high deck with nice view,inside dome with comfy bed and spacious room,its very comfortable for family with young kids.
At night kids roasted marshmallows and watched the beautiful of starry sky…

Our experience at Nos Astra was beyond expectations! It was just what my partner and I needed during the Christmas break as we were able to disconnect, take in the peace of the nature around us whilst enjoying the convenience of everything Nos Astra provided! John was an amazing host - responsive and his guides and Google maps links were amazing and took us on a very beautiful hike to the bridge close by! Would very much recommend Nos Astra to anyone looking for a breathtaking escape ☺️

1 night at K2 River Island Nature Retreat
It's a beautiful place and worth the drive.
Be sure to pack food that you can cook or put in the fridge or heat.
There's 2 patches of road towards the end that are a bit rough but nothing my tiny MG couldn't handle.
It's a great place. Lots of other things to do as well like pool, billiard, table tennis. Shared bathroom area is very very close and very convenient. Plenty of water.
The help there is a pure gentleman and happy to help off times as well. It was a great trip overall.

Lyrebird was the perfect retreat for us to recover from a stressful year. A quiet and tranquil space where we could relax with our dogs and watch the birdlife on the deck, wander through the olive grove and say hello to the horses and goats, or potter down to the lily pond where the sauna was located.
The hosts were so welcoming and helpful; creating the perfect the first Hipcamp experience for us all, including some treats for us to feed the horses who were so friendly.
The cottage contains all you need, and is full of light and birdsong. We appreciated having a hot shower and absolutely loved the deck. Did not want to leave and wished we had booked a third night. I have not slept so soundly in a long time.
We used a portable dog fence to secure our dogs on the deck while we transported items to and from the cottage, and had long leads for walks so they could have some space without bothering livestock or wildlife. There were a lot of kangaroos when we went for a walk up the road, plus birdlife and cattle.

We did the self guided tour of FIG Caves. Wow Wow Wow. We also did the Mares Forrest hike and brased the creek for a swim. Refreshing an beautiful gorge.

Great caves, must visit if you are in the area. We did a self-guided tour to the Fig tree cave this time, but plan to visit again to see other caves as well.
