If your looking for somewhere that is peaceful but not to far from the beach and shops this is your stop. You need to be self sufficient perfect little spot for some r n r. The bonus was our dog had the time of her life

Tucked away

This Hipcamp (Tucked Away) was very private and quiet, although the area you are given is on the small side. The photos shown on Hipcamp made it look a little bigger than what we arrived too. If you have a larger caravan it wouldn’t fit, we have a Avan Aliner and it just fitted. You will also need a levelling ramp kit as the site is not level. Also beware of the huntsmens, we had a few literally drop in for a visit.

Overall we had a great experience. Unfortunately the sites were closer to the road and closer together than the map indicated and a double booking on the site we chose. However, there was sufficient room for them to move further away, which was the better position (Great for them) as it was grassed and not at the entry. Public toilets very convenient and the host was great, he popped up to say hello and make sure everything was OK.

Potentially a beautiful site, it would have been really helpful to have more clearly marked sites and it was challenging to find a level area for a Motorhome. Needs a bit of a tidy up.

Family Break Away

This is a bush camp as we expected. Our group of 6 adults and 1 child along with our 4 pooches visited over the New Year break. There was enough room in The Shed area for our 22 ft caravan, a pop out camper and a camper van comfortably. Expect bush environment with cutting grass and dirt. Be self contained as the nearest toilet is 200 metres away, fine if you're not in a hurry 🥴 otherwise hop in your vehicle. Beach is approximately 300 metres away for a cool swim and play on the sand. This camp is pleasant enough but maybe a bit overpriced for no facilities.

We liked this camp and it's perfect for an overnight stay, however The Shed area might do with a bit of a tidy up with less 'farm' equipment present. This camp is in a pleasant bush area of Beaumauris so expect cutting grass, trees, dirt and ants. Not far from the beach, approximately a 300 metre walk, it's perfect for a meander to the sandy beach. The public toilet is also a 200 metre walk away or hop in the car if in a hurry 😬 There are no facilities so come self contained.

The camp grounds are rough. The local public toilets are a short drive away. The beach is across the road. Shelly Point is worth exploring. The fresh air is free and Tasmanian east coast is wild. God bless Australia 🇦🇺 Amen!

It was a quiet secluded sites that was close to amenities and a 10 minute walk from the beach. Great location to access bay of fires. You need to be self sufficient but I would recommend for a quiet get away away from hustle and bustle of regular crowds.

No clear site markings or signs, surface no good for dogs (short sharp scrub cut) lots of mozzies!! Close to beach, toilet, pub. Plenty of fire wood, quite.

Nice location and easy access for a night or two away with the family and dogs. Short walk to the beach and playground / public toilets. Can hear the waves from the beach when sitting around the fire at night.

Great spot! Only 1 minutes from the highway but you feel like you are 10 ks into the bush! Public toilets also a short walk if needed! Host is great! Highly recommended

Great spot. Stayed 3 nights. Tony was awesome and even apologised for the crappy weather when he came and checked if we need anything. Crappy weather but we still had great time. We will be back.

Sheoak Woodland is a beautiful spot to stay. We were sorry we had to keep moving or we would have stayed longer. The site we set up at was nice and level, peaceful and sheltered. Access was a breeze, two hundred metres off the highway and you're on the property . Highly recommended and I wish Tony all the best.
