The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington). The property has good access for all vehicles and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your dog along too! Please note: some front wheel drive motorhomes have encountered difficulty getting up the driveway. If you have rented a Fiat Motorhome you wont be able to get to the campground We have one toilet available for shared use, self contained campers are encouraged to use their own facilities where possible. Situated within the Coal Valley Wine Region and just 30 minutes from Hobart, the property is the perfect location for travelers looking to sample glorious local food and wine, before returning to their picturesque base camp to recharge. For the rest of the description, please see below Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet 5 acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. Hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming, diving are all at your doorstep, not to mention the famous Three Capes Track and the Port Arthur Historic site just a short drive away. If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. It is a beautiful vineyard with plenty of outside seating. There are also 5 other cellar doors within 10 minutes of the property, so it's a great basecamp for wine lovers! We have plenty of level ground, ideal for pulling up for a night or several. Please note, all campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you. Just outside the property, the Swan River flows past, a great place to cool off on hot days, sometimes there are fish there too. Swansea is 16km away and Bicheno is 26km away. Both towns have IGA supermarkets, bottle shops and restaurants, and plenty of history. Freycinet National Park is 40 minutes, and makes for a great day trip, with beautiful walks, fantastic scenery, and of course iconic Wine Glass Bay.

Hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming, diving are all at your doorstep, not to mention the famous Three Capes Track and the Port Arthur Historic site just a short drive away. If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. Beautiful 8 acre property situated on the edge of the Craigbourne Dam, 2 minutes from the township of Colebrook and 50 minutes from the Hobart CBD. Our property offers are great getaway experience for any traveller. The Craigbourne Dam is a all year round recreational fishing ground and stocks many species of fish i.e. Atlantic Salmon, Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout to name a few. Our property is a pet friendly park but we do ask all patrons to be considerate of the surrounding farmland and live stock . As we are a fully self contained campground we do not provide power, toilets or showers. You'll need to have your own amenities and discard of any rubbish . Limit phone coverage but still enough to call/text Contained campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood for sale for a small fee (see Extras). IMPORTANT : Any guest that wish to fish the Craigbourne Dam will be asked to purchase a angling license for the duration of their stay . Thanks

We stayed at this camp and would recommend it highly. We towed our 18ft caravan to the top of the hill. The ground was firm and we had a lovely sea view. Nigel gave us some of his local knowledge and our 3 nights spent at this camp were very quiet.

I’d love to tell people not to book here to keep it a hidden gem for my husband and I, but the space is too good not to positively review. A short drive outside of coles bay town centre, close to the beach, walks and the beauty of the east coast but still enough away to feel private and secluded which is rare for this part of Tasmania. We loved our stay so much we booked and extra night and time over NYE. Highly recommend this camp- and Taj is amazing!

This is a lovely spot. Very unspoilt, clean and tidy. I was the only one there but I felt very safe. So quiet and peaceful. Essential to be fully self contained, but that is the beauty of these little camps. Great email communication with Florence. I look forward to returning again.

Awesome spot by the Blythe River. We arrived late in the evening and the host still came out to greet us, which was really nice. The toilet and shower was a big win for us which saved us having to use the fresh water in our camper. The river is literally right next to the campground, giving easy access to running water. Had a memorable night by the river! Greatly recommended👍🏻

I was greeted on arrival and shown the appropriate camping spots. Caretaker was super nice and friendly. The campsite has all the right amenities- fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave so it’s easy to organise your food. Also a pizza oven and barbecue. Owner came over with muffins on my first morning which was super nice. Chicken seemed to undo my tent pegs while I was away during the day. Overall great stay with lovely views.

At Hill Top Farm Meander we run beef cattle and five working draught horses. Our property boasts commanding views of Huntsman lake , the Great Western Tiers and Meander Valley. The surrounding mountains create a dramatic backdrop for Hill Top Farm. Our farm displays an abundance of natural beauty, with crystal clear springs and a diversity of mature and rare forest timbers. There are numerous well known walks to do nearby, Meander Falls, Mother Cummings Peak and Smoko Falls to name a few. Huntsman Lake is a great favourite of fly fishermen and kayakers alike, there is also a very pleasant picnic grounds there, swimming hole and boat ramp. The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic. As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained, with their own toilet , water and power.

The beach is also home to the island's Fairy Penguins who return to their burrows in the sand dunes at dusk. The best viewing period is during the warmer months of September to February. Bruny Island Cheese, Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Honey are a ten-minute drive north. Adventure Bay with its Bowls Club, General Store and Service Station and coffee shop are a 15-minute drive south. Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay. 15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. Alonnah is also home to the local Police Station, Pharmacy, Cricket Club, two great coffee shop options, and a skate bowl for the concrete shredders. The eastern side has a cleared area with little private nooks to tuck yourself into. Ocean Drive is asphalt to the front gate, then it is firm, level, all weather access to the camping sites. There is clean and well maintained public toilets two hundred metres away. Here, you can set up anywhere within its bounds; pitching your tent among the trees or along the river is perfect for a truly immersive experience. An approximately 3-acre clearing is also available by the river. For easier access directly from the road, The Little Paddock is an excellent choice. While suitable for smaller vehicles, it's also ideal for larger caravans. This area offers approximately 5 acres of clearing right beside the river. Both paddocks are conveniently located just before the bridge and provide ample open space for outdoor activities like frisbee or cricket. Natural Surroundings & Activities: Leven River Camping borders the Dial Range Nature Recreation Area and a Nature Conservation Reserve. Our sites are set on lush, green, fern-filled river flats within a sometimes misty forested valley, cradled below Mt Duncan and Mt Lorymer. The surrounding area boasts popular hiking and mountain biking trails. The Leven River itself is a highlight, offering some of the best trout fishing in North West Tasmania. Huckaway is a little camping oasis just off the Tasman Highway. Green pastures are bordered by forestry land to the East and a river to the South. Go for a bush walk through the forest, a swim or fish in the river, you might even find a trout! This property is the perfect location if you are here to enjoy either the Derby trails or the St Helens trails with some of the shuttles going straight past the front gate! St Helens is a 15-minute drive away and The Bay of Fires is 30 mins. The wide camping area has plenty of open flat space to park any type of caravan or van. Park down near the river, or tuck yourself in beside the forest, up to you. All campers need to be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and we kindly request you take all your waste with you. The camping site is located in a beautiful location overlooking the lavender fields, in bloom december/january, with the ever-changing Mt Roland in the background. On days with cold southerly winds, alternative campingsites are available on the farm. Please contact us to find out. Includes use flushing toilet, hot shower and laundry (external access). Approx. 300m from the campsite. We are pet friendly. We've got room for up to 5 separate bookings. Due to shortage of personnel, we can no longer offer the farm tours. Hope this will change coming season 2024/25. But hipcampers are welcome to have a walk on the farm. We are working together with other organic certified farmers. They lease parts of our land to grow vegetables. Hipcampers are welcome to have a walk around their crops as well. Big news: we have started to build a tearoom with possibilities to organise herbal workshops and give education about growing and using medicinal herbs. . It will also have a shop and space to enjoy light refreshments, organic coffee, chocolate, juice and herbal tea. Extra bathroomfacilities will be available to our hipcampers only. Hope to have it finished season 2025/26.

Located opposite a cherry orchard close to supermarkets and food outlets, the property has land for off grid self contained camping and caravans. Unfortunately we do not have toilet facilities on the property. It's within 20 minutes of Hobart, within 2 km of Bonnorong wild life park and 1 km from motor racing circuit. Close to the picturesque town of Richmond a colonial town established in early 1800s. Dog friendly but must be controlled as we have many native animals such as galahs, native hens, ducks, rosella's, echidnas. We grow our own vegetables, have a vast array of fruit trees and variety of berries and free range eggs. Guest's must have their own toilet and shower facilities on board.

Beautiful located right beside the Ringarooma River. Fish in the river, swim or just spot a platypus in the river. There is a kayak that you are welcome to use to have a paddle in the water. We have a 40ft shipping container now on site, this has books and games you are welcome to use during your stay. It also has jams, sauces and honey for sale. You can now find us and follow us on Facebook. Search Derby Frasers Flats. No Motorbikes to be used on site. No motorbikes to be used at this camp. Property is located a 5 minutes' drive out of Derby. You can cross the river and then you are on the bike track that will take you to Derby or Branxholm, this is a beautiful walking track or carry your bike across river then ride. Quiet location perfect place to stay for a few nights. Awesome quiet spot to get away. Property is on a working dairy/beef farm. Wood available for sale at camp to use in fire pits for just $10 a tub. We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince. By arrangement if time permits I can arrange for a cost of $20 per person a look at our dairy during milking.
