Experience the beauty of Kambuwal Country on the Granite Belt at our stunning 170 acre vegetable farm. Formerly known as "Mt Stirling Olives," our property now offers luxury farm stay accommodation and off-grid camping for up to 5 fully self-contained vans (power, water, sewerage, rubbish). Our camp sites are situated on the shores of our picturesque dam, providing a serene and tranquil setting for those seeking a peaceful escape. Located in close proximity to Stanthorpe, Ballandean and Tenterfield, our property is nestled amongst local wineries and produce, as well as the stunning walks of Girraween National Park and Sundown. Guests are welcome to explore our uncultivated lower paddocks, granite outcrops and natural bushland. In addition, you can now access the peak of Mount Stirling, which has only recently been opened to the public after more than half a century, allowing you to hike and relish the stunning sunsets. If you prefer a more relaxing experience, take in the scenic views from our dam-side firepits with a glass of the Granite Belt's finest. Upon booking, we'll provide you with an access code to our gate off Thorndale Road (Gate 1). There is plenty of room to park off the road at the entrance, and we're almost always available onsite at the main homestead on Collins Road to assist with any queries or provide special recommendations only a local would know.

Great camp
An absolutely fabulous camping spot. Not crowded, well spaced out. Lovely dam with great fire pits. The directions were brilliant, it would be hard not to find this camp! We will. E back.

Crowded House
The area was nice however there was all 5 campsite filled. Two of these sites were a group with a number of children. We found that the size of the campground and the number of campers made our camp, site 1, quite disturbed by the screaming children. Although once addressed the children played up further on the campground and with a more controlled level of excitement and all was ok. There was only 2 firepits, and one was taken up to the campsite of the large group however Ben did then provide an old washing machine inner that would suffice if need be. There is a request that campers park their vehicles on the perimeter however some of the campers decided it was nicer to have their car down by the dam whilst they enjoyed the sunset and campfire (in the only other decent firepit) so our afternoon and evening was spent inside our caravan to avoid the glare of the afternoon sun which shone directly toward our camp and as there was no spare decent firepit. Be aware this campground is on a working agriculture farm so if you don't mind the sound of machinery (maybe a tractor?) at 6:30 am in the morning then this place would be considered lovely. We would not choose to camp here again during a long weekend or school holidays as for us the point of hipcamps is to get away from the crowds and we didnt feel this campground fulfilled this desire to our satisfaction. The campground was neatly presented, had nicely slashed walking track, plentiful firewood. Some road noise.

Felt like Home
Ben’s friendliness and helpfulness was 5 🌟! Ben made us feel at home. The property is well maintained for the maximum experience while being ‘off grid’. Highly recommend staying here. Great location, close enough to drive to so many of the tourist attractions and even into Stanthorpe. Thank you for having us Ben.

Stirling Camping at Mt Stirling
We loved our stay on this property which had plenty of space for the kids to run around and the dam for a bit of a splash in the water and a SUP. The location is perfect, with convenient access to Stanthorpe to the north, and the national parks and Tenterfield to the south. Ben is a friendly and welcoming host. Would 100% stay again.
