Easy and relaxing camping

We set up our OzTent on site called The Old Diary on a flat area near the old family home. This gave us an aspect down towards the fire pit area (about 30m away). The spot was quiet, with a few nearby homes far enough away, and no traffic noise. Lovely bird life in the mornings, and a beautiful starry nights. The property was easy to find, and it wasn't far to explore Cambewarra Mountain Lookout, Berry and Nowra. We loved the nearby goats who watched us curiously, the sounds of cattle and sheep from a nearby paddock and the Shawn's 4 male turkeys by the main farm home that paraded around us upon arrival! We slept so deeply, with 8.30am wake-ups, must have been the country fresh air!

South Coast Private Delight

Shawn, Gina and Mac were the most welcoming hosts! We stayed at Over The Creek which felt very private and we had the space to ourselves, There was a compostable toilet with a fan and sink for cleaning up, There was a permanent timber gazebo with a sun shade over the top, And 2 tables + reclining chairs around the fire pit, We were able to hand feed the animals around 4pm, Treats are made fresh on the farm, we tried the caramel slice which was out of this world, Will be back many more times Ryen and Jasmine

3. Hike to Creekside (walk in only)

We stayed at Young Macdonald’s Farm for two nights and had an amazing time. The location is beautiful — private and secluded, with plenty of space to feel like you have the whole farm to yourselves, but still close enough to Nowra and Berry to pop into town and explore. Access to the toilet facilities was easy and convenient throughout our stay. The animals were clearly so well cared for — you can tell how much love goes into this farm. It really added to the whole experience. A huge thank you to Mac, Gina and Shawn for sharing your beautiful property with us. It’s such a special place, and we’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this campsite. Gina and Shawn made us feel so welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The campsite was well maintained, and the compost toilet was exceptionally clean, which we really appreciated. The fresh eggs were delicious and such a lovely touch. Their hospitality and attention to detail made our stay perfect. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable camping experience!

We loved camping here! The site offered beautiful views of the farm and the surrounding areas and was private and well maintained. The composting toilet was an added bonus. Gina was extremely friendly and welcoming when we arrived which we greatly appreciated. 10/10 would camp here again!

It is such a lovely spot with wonderful hosts. It's easy to access and Shawn, Gina and Mac are really welcoming. Our site had a composting toilet, a bbq, tables and plenty of chairs. Great views and lots of friendly farm animals with lots of personality.

Gina’s communication was amazing, she gave great directions and made getting to camp really simple. The camp site was great, a compost toilet, fire pit, seating and tables, the view was spectacular and the site itself felt really private and secluded even though we were only 15 minutes from Bomaderry (which was super handy). Get your kids out in nature!

We had a wonderful stay at Young MacDonald's farm. It was perfect for our first camping trip as a family of 5. We stayed at the Old Dairy and it was a beautiful setting, the kids loved feeding the animals and toasting marshmallows by the fire. Having the room in the old dairy as an option for breakfast was a real treat whilst camping. We'll be back. Big thanks to Shawn, Gina and Mac!

We had a wonderful time at Young McDonald's Farm. The hosts were very friendly and helped to make it a memorable experience. The kids loved playing in the creek, feeding the animals, and wandering through the farm. The property is incredibly tranquil. Since there are only a few campsites and each site is limited to just one group, it feels like you have the entire place to yourself.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Up The Hill at Young Macdonald’s Farm. Shawn and Gina were absolutely wonderful hosts. The camp site itself was very secluded and we definitely felt like we were the only people for miles. The composting toilet was great, as were the table and chairs provided and we spent many hours relaxing in the fireside recliners. If staying at Young Macdonald’s, you MUST try the farm fresh eggs and homemade butter. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We had a great time camping here with a group of four families - very family friendly. The kids loved the creek, feeding the cows and all the animals. The farm stand was a great touch too - delicious goodies. Shawn and Gina were lovely and very helpful.

I spent two nights up the hill, one with my eight-year-old son and another with friends and their kids. Gina was so accommodating and informative leading up to our trip. Upon arrival both Gina and Shaun were super welcoming and we felt at home as soon as we got there. Even got a couple of visits from Biscut the dog during our stay Special mention to Shaun as he made our kids feel so special as we accompanied him on his afternoon feedings with the animals. Highlight of the trip. Will come back and highly recommend.
