Meralda is a family owned property, we are nestled in the outback town of Cobar. We are offering seasonal paddock eco camping stays on our gorgeous little property only minutes from the Cobar town centre. If you after a secluded, peaceful outback setting where you can immerse yourself into bush nature, Then our place is for you. We have allocated a nice open space for you to choose your site; set up under the shade of a majestic gum or in the open paddock by our dam. Unwind and cosy up around our campfire and enjoy our magnificent sunsets and as the evening turns into night and the breathtaking star show begins. With no artificial light, stargazing at our property is simply incredible. On our little property we farm sheep and goats. There are always strays, and dropped off orphans that become our little babies. Lots of fun can be had in the dam -Swimming is permitted and water sport activities on request or BYO Kayak. We recommend extending your stay at least two nights at the station and taking the time to explore Cobar; a unique town, rich in mining heritage and natural attractions. Visitors will be amazed by open-cut mines, Aboriginal rock art, museums and colonial buildings and new sound chapel. If your into bike riding or long walks we have a bitumen walking/bike track that goes into town not far from our station entry. If you want to duck into the local club to have dinner, or a few drinks there's a courtesy bus to Golf Club Available that will collect you from our front gate. Add on extras to make your stay more memorable with tours, hampers, animal feeding, holistic treatments and if any farm work is happening your welcome to watch or join in.

Meralda Station is nestled in the outback, offering basic paddock eco camping stays on our gorgeous little property only minutes from the Cobar town centre on a bitumen road to our turn off. If you after a secluded, peaceful outback setting where you can immerse yourself into bush nature, Then our place is for you.  We have allocated an area where you can set up camp, relax in your natural bush setting surrounded by gumtree’s, native wildlife and right next to water by the Dam. Unwind by the campfire if season permits and enjoy the magnificent outback sunsets and breathtaking night sky stargazing that the outback is renowned for. We offer a range of added extras to make your stay more memorable with tours, hampers, farm produce, animal feeding, holistic treatments and if any farm work is happening your welcome to watch or join in. Cobar is a unique town, rich in mining heritage and natural attractions. Campers will be amazed by open-cut mines, Aboriginal rock art, museums and colonial buildings. They recommend a minimum of 2 nights stay to enjoy all that Cobar has to offer. Dam swimming is permitted and water sport activities on request or BYO kayak.  Bitumen bike track all the way into town Golfie club offer a courtesy bus

Nestled on our property in the stunning western outback town of Cobar - less than a 5 min drive from the centre of town. If you are staying a few nights, use us as base camp, and experience all we have and cobar have to offer. We have art & wellness itineraries for those that wish to turn your stay into a retreat. The space Set in paddock bushland on our property, our bell tent is furnished to a high standard with new King bed, luxurious sheets, rug, and of course fairy lights. Sit out under the stars and be at one with nature, birdwatch and watch the gorgeous outback sunsets that we are renowned for. This is a little peace of real Australian bush, which comes with that isolated stillness we are all craving. We have nice, clean amenities not far from your tent including a star gazing shower for you to use during your stay.. Tent are completely waterproof, well ventilated and you can use the camp kitchen for your cooking. You have your own private campfire for relaxing by at night to stargaze. ** Take your stay to the next level and literally just turn up! Add breakfast or dinner hampers to your stay. Locally sourced farm produce.

Owners were great, campsite and amenities were spotless. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We looked at about the emus and talked about giraffes although none were sighted

We loved camping here. Flat sites and plenty of room. Flushing toilets and a hot shower. They also have a great outside bath experience you can book but unfortunately didn’t have time for this. Each site has a fire pit. You can BYO wood or buy a load for $20. We would recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Meralda Station in Cobar. Jenn was amazing at communicating with us and came down to see us the day after we arrived to introduce herself as we arrived late. We purchased fire wood which was a great addition to our camp set up. Would definitely recommend 😊

Great spot with good conveniences. The camping spot felt secluded and remote, with town only a short trip away for any last minute requirements. It was so lovely to be surrounded by Fairy Wrens and watch beautiful sunsets. Everything was easy to arrange with great communication from Jenn.

We absolutely loved our stay at Meralda estate and would recommend to everyone. Beautiful grounds – our spot overlooked a little dam. Amazing Sunset and a twin bath on raised platform overlooking scrubland with piping hot water. Who could ask for more?

We enjoyed the secluded area while camping, just watch out for thorns if you bring a dog, as there are many. There were a couple of chairs available by the designated campfire and options to collect your own wood. We were required to pay more money after making the payment and reservation for 4 adults by the owner. Then, on our leave, we were falsely accused of using the showers as a dumping point by other campers and owner's. Which we did not and kindly explained to them. We won’t be back.

Such a beautiful stay up in the Boondocks, we have complete privacy which was great. We got the bees knees and dinner was absolutely delicious with the most beautiful lamb. Jen was super friendly and welcoming bringing fire wood and dinner to our camp spot. Sunset walk with the dogs was absolutely stunning, great hot showers and clean toilets. Camp kitchen was a great set up, the walk from the top camps tp facilities was easy and gorgeous. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Thanks Jen.

Stayed for one night in a secluded campsite. Perfect privacy and safety. Stunning sunset, and an amazing starry sky with a great warm fire set the scene for a lovely peaceful stay. Jenn,s communication was spot on and easy to follow. Would stay again.

Fantastic place for a van didn't even need to take it of the car it was so flat. The communal fire was lovely and the morning picturesque. Not much mor to say other than Jen and Hubby were really nice and happy to chat. The lamb curry also hit the spot nicely

A great little find near Cobar. Easy to get to everything in town but still very rural. Plenty of space to spread out without being on top of other campers and a nice property to stroll around.

I loved Jenn’s campground, area was level and tidy. The amenities were fun and well thought out, clean and accessible. Directions and communication were precise. Would highly recommend for anyone travelling to or through Cobar.

We found the Rabbithole camp ground very secluded whilst also within walking distance to the toilet/ shower facilities. Those facilities were very clean and functional, importantly the water hot door an early morning July shower and shave. The hosts were excellent and the delivered camp oven meal to cook was delicious. The property was within easy travel distance to Cobar. We commend Jenn and highly recommend at least two nights at Meralda Station

We loved our 2 night stay, it was very peaceful. The hot shower was a bonus. Our firewood was delivered to our site so we could enjoy a lovely bonfire in the fire pit. Jen’s directions were easy to follow.
