Cozy Freedom
7 sites · RVs, Tents8 acres · FLPerfect spot to set up and enjoy Florida's great outdoors! Convenient to Atlantic Ocean, fresh water springs, state forest and more. If you're in town for an event, come and go day or night. Historically, Cozy Freedom was occupied by the Timucuan Indians who hunted the forest and swamp land. More recent history of the property included a nursery and beekeeping location. Now, surrounded by horse farms and state forest, nature abounds. There's organic produce growing in fall, winter and spring. Ornamental nursery items are also being propagated. We have citrus trees and blueberry bushes, ginger and turmeric. Our resident bats help with the mosquitos. Our friendly four-legged friends romp around and are all very loveable. What else do you need to achieve cozy freedom?! Learn more about this land: A serene location with 33,000 acres of state forest backing up to the property, an 11-mile direct run east into the Atlantic Ocean, and less than an hour from spectacular blue-water springs. Day trips to St. Augustine, Orlando, Cape Canaveral and Ocala.  Visit local Old Florida sites nearby, including Bulow Plantation Ruins, Tomoka State Park, and Barberville Pioneer Settlement. Take a day to hike or bike out in Tiger Bay State Forest without having to drive off the farm, or enjoy just hanging out on the farm. Outdoor kitchen, hot/cold private shower and designated campsites on 8+ acres.  Working produce/nursery farm.  Electric and water available at all sites and options available for remote tent sites without access to electric and water. Summers are hot and wet and mosquitos will drive you inside from mid-June through to the end of August. Wintertime is peaceful and ideal for camping in Florida. We do have some nights that drop into the 30's, but most days are perfect to be outside. Enjoy staying put on the farm or safely leaving your belongings while visiting the sights in the area.  Someone is always nearby onsite, but privacy is respected. Property is situated on a thoroughfare between Ocala and Ormond Beach with audible traffic, so not ideal for individuals seeking absolute silence.

Moondancing Meadows
6 sites · Lodging, Tents5 acres · Ocala, FLIn 2020 a few friends asked if they could hold a few wellness retreats on our property out of the blue. we loved hosting so much, we decided to do this full time! It has evolved from pitching regular camping tents, to the luxurious glamping tents we have today! When it came time to name our property, we used a cute pet name, Dru uses for me, Moondance, as inspiration for Moondancing Meadows. Moondancing Meadows is a back-to-nature wellness glamping facility. We believe in enjoying the abundance of nature, with a few creature comforts. Our five canvas glamping bell tents are nestled in to nature. All the tents have a beautiful Florida forest view and is located in a private area of the campground. They have all been beautifully furnished with real mattresses, sitting area, storage, indoor and outdoor lighting, along with other perks. In the summer, the tents have battery operated fans and the tents are well ventilation. In the winter, we offer propane heaters as an add on. Each site has its own personal touch such as a hammock, picnic table, or private seating area. There is no water or electricity at the tent sites. This was done mindfully to keep the nature experience in tact. The trails are all well lit by solar lights. We also offer four primitive camping sites around our community fire ring. There is plenty of space for small and large tents and is a perfect set up for group camping with your friends and family. There is a community outhouse like no other outhouse you have seen and a beautiful community outdoor shower with hot water. We have a community fire pit for all to enjoy. If you would like a fire Sunday-Friday, please bring your own wood. If you would like a private gas fire ring provided at your site, it is available for a small fee plus propane. We also offer a kitchen kit that includes a propane stove, accessories, and coffee for an additional cost. Check in time is 3pm or later, Check out time is 12pm Our goal is to provide a perfect balance of peaceful connection with self and nature coupled with a connection to community. Please check our Facebook page to see if we are hosting any events during your stay. We are located in the Horse Capital of the World and also 10 minutes from world-famous Rainbow Springs and KP Hole Park for kayakers and tubers. There is a waiting line in front of the park and at the tubing entrance starts 30 minutes to an hour before the park opens. The park often reaches capacity before the morning is over.
