Abundance yurt is surrounded by trees and birds in the Perth Hills, only 30 mins from Perth CBD. The property comes with its own composting toilet and hot outdoor shower, gas cooker and pot belly stove. Suitable for singles or couples, some smaller dogs may be appropriate (please contact Liza to discuss before booking). Other things to note Moonbeams Yurt is situated at the bottom of a 1 acre property, on a large 48sqm decked area. The yurt is 20sqm in size and the composting toilet and shower are within 10 steps from the yurt entrance. The hot water shower is an outdoor shower with a privacy screen. There is NO power at all, but 1 battery powered light is available, and there is a basic gas cooker provided. There is no refrigeration. Parking is at the top of the property and guests will have to walk down a partially sealed path to arrive at the entrance to the yurt, so good mobility is needed. You will need to bring in refrigeration/Eski, lights and basic cooking camp ware. A wheelbarrow can be provided to get gear from car to yurt. A Double bed is provided. Optional extras are fresh bedding. The pot belly stove is great for the winter, and timber is provided for cold nights. We do not recommend booking during our hottest months, unless you love the heat. This property is great for backpackers or people wanting to see the sites of Perth and surrounds. The train line is close by for people who do not have a car. There are many walks and states forests in the area. We have a two night minimum stay.

Whether you're here for a weekend of relaxation, a brewery visit, or a base to explore the region, Salt & Ember is the original escape—peaceful, scenic, and full of charm. Highly recommended. Have just finished my third stay. Enjoy the scenery, quiet and location. Great hosts and amenities, such as the fire pit table and container which you can use as a kitchen. Close enough to Perth for a quick getaway. Will be back again.

Had an awesome time at black stump site. Very private, plenty of space to choose from for pitching a large tent. Having the container nearby was a plus as used that for the camp kitchen. You can easily set up chairs in there should it rain and there’s two square tables in there for your use. The site was peaceful and beautiful and the hosts wonderful and very helpful. Michael brought over a fire pit table for us to use and some wood to start our fires off with. Will definitely be returning!

This is such a beautiful spot! Liza & Dave have created such a lovely space and are so welcoming and friendly. The stove, the outdoor shower, the little tree house! So simple, cosy and adorable. The Black Stump was a great place to stay. The paddock has quite a few spots to pitch a tent. There is a shipping container with tables and chairs that can be used as a make shift kitchen. Overall, our stay was relaxed and the host was lovely. It's close to a short bush walk at the lime kiln, and not too far away from the thrombolites. Would recommend.

A small and basic site, but really charming with lovely shady trees. Our second night felt much more private once other guests had left, though it can be quite open when busy. There are some beautiful walks nearby, and the evenings were wonderfully quiet with stunning starry skies. It was a bit dusty with a few caterpillars around, but we appreciated that there were no nasty spiders and the site was well-cleared to help prevent snakes. A peaceful and pleasant stay overall 🏕️

Weekend Trip to Yurt Abundance in Perth Hills

I had a really wonderful two nights here. There are some other houses around but it feels secluded and the neighbourgood is beautiful. Cooking with the camp cooker and having the pot belly stove on was super cozy and wasn't too cold inside. This is such a good option for the feel of camping but way more convenient and sheltered. The outdoor shower and tree house were also great. Lisa the owner is very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this yurt.

Nice peaceful location to camp under the trees. All the campsites are in sight of each other but enough distance that everyone had their own space. The brewery next door was only open between 10am - 3pm so it was quiet at night and was a lovely spot for a beer and some lunch. Great communication from Jessie, with very clear directions, and each site is clearly marked. Would recommend.

Salt & Ember, was a wonderful stay for us. We got to watch a possum climb up a tree two foot in front of us. Also star gazing is a must. Located next to the Thorny Devil brewery (check opening hours). Just a short walk further down the road are the Thrombolites. Where we enjoyed sitting on the jetty for a front row view of the sunsetting over the water. A 20 minute walk on the trail hidden in the bushes you’ll come face to face with one of the famous wooden giants. Was just what we needed for a quick one night stay.
