Freedom Farmstay - simple, back to nature camping for FULLY self-contained travellers. CHILDREN are always FREE... Quiet location on acreage in rural Baldivis (within the Perth metro area). We love our little tranquil piece of paradise... our little freedom farm, with it's beautiful natural spaces and menagerie of animals, yet close to lots of local amenities in Baldivis / Rockingham. We're just a 15min drive to the beach and 30mins to Perth city or Mandurah. We can only accommodate a small number of campers, or groups of campers, at any given time.. so you have space, solitude and security for your family/group. You MUST be fully self contained WITH your OWN TOILET. Clear bore water for small tank fills can be arranged during your stay. NOTE: we do NOT have mains water and constant tap access is not available. Water refills need to be requested and you may need to wait up to a day. Sites are in open paddocks with some limited shade available. Dogs are allowed ONLY if kept on lead at all times. Sites 1 & 2: Suitable for small/med vans, motorhomes, camper trailers and MINI-buses. Could fit 3 families if you're with a group. Private site for your family/group only. Site 3 (Families WITH children): Large area that can take all size vehicles including big rigs and full size buses. This is a share site, so you may be sharing with other families (max 12 vans across 9 spots). If you wish to book for a large group, book as early as possible. Huge access gap into paddock, approx 15mtrs wide. NOTE: If you are NOT travelling WITH CHILDREN please do NOT book this area!! Site 4: For any sized vehicles. Suitable for up to 6 vans if camping with a group. This is a share site, so you may be sharing with others (max 6 vans across 4 spots) If you wish to book for a group, book as early as possible. Access gap approx 10mtrs wide. Campfires allowed in contained fire pits. Important NOTE: This is a WORKING hobby farm. There are tyres and poles, sand piles, fencing projects underway, etc etc. There are also many free roaming animals - our friendly farm dog, the chooks, sheep and alpaca.. along with the horse! If you are looking for manicured, super flat areas or have a fear of animals - this is NOT the place for you. There are also a HUGE number of factors that can affect your stay that I have ZERO control over... The seasons change a lot of things throughout the course of the year: we have snakes (like ALL Aussie bush places) for most of the year; an assortment of insects, according to their seasons; varying growth stages of grasses - long, short, brown, green and sometimes grass seeds/prickles.. along with some crazy weather on occasion (high winds, high temps, storms) - NONE of which I have any control over.. so if you are a moaning myrtle and any of those things are likely to bother you, please don't come to our property... oh, and roosters - we have them too! If you accept that you are staying on a working hobby farm and that I have no control over nature - then welcome, there is much beauty here for those who have the eyes to see - and as a base to explore the Perth area, we have a pretty convenient spot :)

Large (approx 5 acre), easy accessible paddock for ALL size vehicles including big rigs and full size buses, including if they are towing a car trailer. Can get muddy during/after heavy rain. FAMILY site - unless you are camping WITH another guest (who IS a family), do NOT book this if you are a single person or couple. You may be asked to move once we realise and if there's no space to move to, you will be asked to leave and will forfeit your booking! This is a SHARE site, so you may be sharing with other families, but you will still have plenty of space to yourselves. If travelling with another van/s, you can either all book in one booking, or book as separate bookings - as there are not set/marked sites, you can pick your spot together upon arrival.

Large (approx 3 acre), easy accessible paddock for ALL size vehicles including big rigs and full size buses, including if they are towing a car trailer. Paddock was partly raised a few months back, so some spots are still a little sandy, but there are also grassed areas. NOTE: Site is reasonably flat... BUT you are camping in a paddock and there is no truly flat ground. If you need really flat ground, a caravan park is probably more suitable for you :) This is a SHARE site, so you may be sharing with others, but you will still have plenty of space to yourselves. Max of 6 vans across 4 spots. If travelling with others, please book a site each and let me know that you want to be placed together. NOTE: pics shown are of the family paddock, this one is similar but currently a little less grass.

The Corner Paddock: EXCLUSIVE USE

The Corner Paddock (site 1) is approx 30 x 30mtrs wide with a flat grassy area, with plenty of sun exposure and several shady trees. This site is the most private spot on the property. There are several chickens who roost in the surrounding trees, so early morning greetings will sing out amongst the general birdsong. [Please note that dogs MUST be kept under control at all times if staying in this site] Private site for you or your group - can fit up to 3 small caravans (*with a max of 24') * Single vans up to 24' IF you are a competent tower (I've had people with 26" get down there no problems and others in 20' freak out because they find the 3.6mtr laneway too narrow!... it comes down to the driver) Do NOT book this spot if you are in a large van, bus and/or towing with a large vehicle/truck!! CAMPFIRES: No campfires are allowed until May 2026 !! NOTE: Site is reasonably flat... BUT you are camping in a paddock and there is no truly flat ground. If you need really flat ground, a caravan park is probably more suitable :)

The Wattle Field: EXCLUSIVE USE

The wattle field (site 2) is approx 40 x 30mtrs wide with a flat grassy area, with plenty of sun exposure and a few small (wattle) trees. This site is the small, exclusive use paddock area that is between The Caretaker's Coop (site 1) and "The Open Plain" (site 3).. it is alongside one of the main horse paddocks. This is a private use site for you or your group - can fit up to 3 small caravans (*with a max of 24') * Single vans up to 24' IF you are a competent tower (I've had people with 26" get down there no problems and others in 20' freak out because they find the entrance corner tight or the 3.6mtr laneway too narrow... it comes down to the driver and the size of your tow vehicle) Do NOT book this spot if you are in a large van, bus and/or towing with a large vehicle/truck!! CAMPFIRES: April-May 2025: Campfires *may* be allowed depending on conditions - you must check with owner on the day, before lighting anything.

The Open Plains (site 3) is approx 40 x 30mtrs wide with a two tiered flat area (grassy upper section and sandy/small rocks in the lower section), with plenty of sun exposure and a single small tree in the corner of the upper section. It is bookable by section, so you may be sharing with one other family/small group.. or, if you're coming with your own group, booking both sections, this area could easily fit up to 4/5 vans.

At 5:30pm, the host came up and accused us of something we didn't do, something she claimed happened at 9am that morning. She was rude, blunt and unreasonable, told us to leave with no refund, and we had to pack up and find new accommodation after dark. The listing also says it's a 'quiet location' it's not, you can hear the freeway all night. And if you do have any issues, her own listing basically tells you not to bother complaining. There are genuinely nicer places to stay nearby for the same budget. Wouldn't recommend

Great spot close to Perth, perfect for large groups or families. Very easy to find your own space to set up. That said, the yard could do with a bit of a tidy up, lots of rubbish/junk lining the paddock.

Whilst it does state that it is a “working hobby farm”, I’m afraid nothing seems to be working or in the process of being done. It’s just a junk yard. The “friendly” dog welcomed us with its fur up at our dog and proceeded to piss all over our stuff. Could be a decent camp if it was tidied up. I’m all for rustic and not manicured but this is a piss take. Save your money.

Fantastic spot - so much so we decided to extend our stay. It was really convenient for us, with both work and family nearby. There’s a public restroom just up the street, and the Jarrahdale RV rest area is reasonably close for filling tanks and accessing the dump point for black and grey water. Plenty of space too — suitable for larger setups, with buses up to 40ft allowed. We also loved the little farm visits - chickens come by most mornings and evenings, with the occasional sheep wandering through, and their friendly farm dog loves to play with other furbabies. Debbie was wonderful - highly recommend.

This place was like the dates you read about where the people dont match the picture. Went in knowing would be rustic ... but ... wow A rubble strewn paddock. 37 bucks a night (minimum 2 night stay). 'Romantic' freeway noise all night, comes with free insomnia. Early departure due to risk of tetanus. moaning myrtle out

Great little farm stay not too far out of Perth perfect for the long weekend. Quiet place with enough to keep the kids occupied, Rusty the local dog was friendly and up for pats. We saw a bunch of sheep, chooks and a pony. Will be back again.

An AMAZING place to set up for a few nights. The camp area is a spacious and lush green paddock visited by sheep, chooks and a very friendly dog, Rusty. The host was so friendly. She popped by to welcome us, allowed us to forage for fire wood and even bought a baby sheep over for the kids to pat and me to snuggle. The location is great, very central to the city but without all the chaos. We looked forward to coming back every afternoon after our days of exploring. We all loved this spot. It was excellent.
