Abundance yurt is surrounded by trees and birds in the Perth Hills, only 30 mins from Perth CBD. The property comes with its own composting toilet and hot outdoor shower, gas cooker and pot belly stove. Suitable for singles or couples, some smaller dogs may be appropriate (please contact Liza to discuss before booking). Other things to note Moonbeams Yurt is situated at the bottom of a 1 acre property, on a large 48sqm decked area. The yurt is 20sqm in size and the composting toilet and shower are within 10 steps from the yurt entrance. The hot water shower is an outdoor shower with a privacy screen. There is NO power at all, but 1 battery powered light is available, and there is a basic gas cooker provided. There is no refrigeration. Parking is at the top of the property and guests will have to walk down a partially sealed path to arrive at the entrance to the yurt, so good mobility is needed. You will need to bring in refrigeration/Eski, lights and basic cooking camp ware. A wheelbarrow can be provided to get gear from car to yurt. A Double bed is provided. Optional extras are fresh bedding. The pot belly stove is great for the winter, and timber is provided for cold nights. We do not recommend booking during our hottest months, unless you love the heat. This property is great for backpackers or people wanting to see the sites of Perth and surrounds. The train line is close by for people who do not have a car. There are many walks and states forests in the area. We have a two night minimum stay.

Welcome to Raptor Retreat, on the doorstep of Whiteman Park. It’s the perfect location if you love birds, in particular Raptors. The campsite is located at the back of the 5 acres property on solid ground. The area surrounding the campsite is farm land but beyond the fence is 4000 hectares of native bushland. Plenty of areas for bushwalking or photography. The property is home to the WA Birds of Prey Rehabilitation and educational centre. The Swan Valley is only a short drive when you can experience local wines and produce. Campers must be either self sufficient with their own camping toilet and take all waste with them on departure when located at the back of the property. Alternatively, at the front of the property, toilets and bins are available. Campfires are only permitted at certain times of the year, please check with your host before lighting a fire. The cottage is set up for those looking for peace and quiet, with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom bosting a vintage claw foot bath, majestic views from the sitting area where you can pass the day watching the birds bathe or the kangaroos come in for their evening meal. For the cold winter nights there is a central wood fire that heats the whole cottage while providing the perfect ambiance to sit by with a glass of local shiraz. As we are reliant on the winter rains, we do request summer and autumn guests to be mindful of water consumptions and only have short showers and one bath per stay.

This is such a beautiful spot! Liza & Dave have created such a lovely space and are so welcoming and friendly. The stove, the outdoor shower, the little tree house! So simple, cosy and adorable. A friend and I stayed here after doing some hiking nearby and we are going to make it an annual thing. Thank you so much for opening up this space for people to enjoy x

Yvonne’s Raptor Retreat was a treat! We enjoyed the animals and we were lucky enough to get a tour thanks to Yvonne. It was well situated from the airport which suited us since I was flying into Perth. Well secured property. Close to the city - basically close proximity to everything.

Weekend Trip to Gumtree Gully Cottage

We had such a lovely 2-night stay! The cottage was clean and inviting. We arrived to a lovely welcome sign and some goodies like chips, m&m’s, oats cups for breakfast, jerky and biltong. There was fire wood chopped for the fireplace, and bubble bath and bath salts by the bath. These were such unexpected but lovely touches that made us so grateful to have booked this weekend away! The property is wonderful for dogs to have a very enjoyable run around and sniff.

Weekend Trip to Yurt Abundance in Perth Hills

I had a really wonderful two nights here. There are some other houses around but it feels secluded and the neighbourgood is beautiful. Cooking with the camp cooker and having the pot belly stove on was super cozy and wasn't too cold inside. This is such a good option for the feel of camping but way more convenient and sheltered. The outdoor shower and tree house were also great. Lisa the owner is very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this yurt.

Close enough to everything if you need it, but far enough to feel like you've escaped the city. :) Private, lots of birds and a cute puppo that likes to say goodmorning. The tree house, swing and the cards were a nice surprise! Definitely entertaining and just what the doctor ordered. Yurts are a big part of my husbands culture so he found the experience quite nostalgic, too. Thank you having us. :)
