Glamping is available at nearby Margaret River. In town, there's a Big4, Mandalay Holiday Resort, Busselton Holiday Village and RAC Busselton Holiday Park.Dunsborough, a smaller and more relaxed Busselton, offers great whale watching charters and diving opportunities. But visitors tend to head here for the attractive beaches, the pride of locals. Ask for their picks? Meelup, Eagle Bay and Bunker Bay. The Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park explodes with wildflowers and colour in Spring. Self contained caravans welcome Drive straight in from Finn road, park in the paddock when you arrive. Children and dogs must have 100% supervision Birds on Chook Island can be very noisy. CHILDREN must be supervised AT ALL TIMES. Please drive very slowly, especially early in the morning and in the evening. Pets must be kept on a leash. Lake Preston has a limestone shore, and access is via a limestone track in front of our house. You can paddle your canoe or kayak, or simply enjoy a walk. Please note, the lake is very salty. Some great nearby spots to visit include the Crooked Carrot Café, Old Coast Road Brewery, Vineyard 28, and Footprints Café at Preston Beach. Both Myalup Beach and Preston Beach offer fishing spots and are dog-friendly. Arrival and exit is up to you Bookings are taken up to 1 month in advance. Deepdene Farmstay is a beautiful rural property with a fabulous view! We have a number of unpowered camp sites located approximately 5 minutes drive from Augusta, which offers a number of tourist attractions and great fishing spots. We are also located a short 800m from Jewel Cave, which is a very popular tourist attraction and café. Our campsites overlook paddocks of cows and horses, with a lovely breeze and a number of large trees to offer shade in the summer, while being protected from the harsh winds in winter. If you are pretty much self contained and would like to camp out away from the hustle and bustle, in a tranquil and peaceful setting...then this is for you. However, if you like life's luxuries, then this won't be your cup of tea. One of the reviews said nice but a bit wild, I think they must be used to caravan parks or something. We try our best to fit in with the environment, so we have a couple of compost toilets and solar showers (for private not public use, for more info on this, please enquire ) and compost and recycling bins to try and do our bit. Dogs are permitted but this is a working farm with livestock so uncontrolled dogs chasing wildlife or stock which cant be controlled will be dealt with as needed including euthanised. If its hard to control don't bring it please!

Hello, welcome to Rosa Glen Farm in Margaret River. Our farm is set on 80 acres divided by vineyard, open fields and native bushland. The ones which are secluded, capture beautiful pieces of light at certain times of the day, where the black cockatoos love to rest on the branches of the gum trees, the areas where weeping peppermints create a haven and the frequencies of the frogs elevate at certain times of the year and times of the day are so loud that you cant hear yourself think. As a result we have several spots on our property we would love to share with like minded people who have a love for nature, music and wine. PLEASE BE AWARE WE HAVE NO FACILITIES such as toilets, showers and water. Our region 'Margaret River' is famous for wine but there are so many other things that make this place special. A wild but beautiful coastline uninhibited by people, karri forest, caves, mountain bike trails and a 120km coastal walk. We are also known for surfing and close by are a number of world famous breaks including Surfers Point which is located 20 minutes from the farm. Closer to the farm you can enjoy a short walk to a beautiful winery called SI Vintners, drive to The Berry Farm or the quirky town of Witchcliffe. At Witchcliffe you will find Darnell's General Store which has a gift shop (The Shed), cellar door (Amato Vino), coffee shop (Witchy Brews) and fantastic pub (Dear Darnells), newly opened McHenry Hohnen Vintners wine bar and vintage stores which it has become renown for.

68-acre peaceful retreat nestled within State Forest, a short drive from Donnybrook. We are one of only two properties in this small, isolated pocket. We have five sites available for self-contained campers. We do not offer any facilities. Self-contained campers/vans only, you MUST bring everything with you including a toilet. Stay here and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings over a glass of wine from one of the local wineries or head out and explore the beautiful Geographe Wine Region. Redgum Hill Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting. Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter. Valley Vista Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm. Creek Junction Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue. Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them. Hidden Corner Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of the three campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind. Shed Pad (No longer has bathroom facilities) Shed Pad is our only powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed. It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs (an extra 2 can be provided if required). WIFI is also available for an additional fee. It is an intimate site, perfect for one large caravan or two small caravans and a couple of swags/tents. It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. it is at the entrance to the property next to the main shed and in close proximity to the house.

We offer a quiet retreat 5kms up Sandhills Road with a winter brook and peaceful meadows on a country farm set in the beautiful Brookhampton Valley 9kms from Donnybrook and close to many local attractions and wineries with the towns of Bunbury ,Donnybrook,Balingup,Bridgetown and Collie within a pleasant afternoons drive plus the Bibbulum trails are easily accessed. It’s peaceful with plenty of space for winding down. You can see the redtail cockatoos that visit us in December plus a nature walk to wander along (ask for details ) The Hipcamp is located away from the main house so is private. There is an artists studio on the property with the main woodfired salt glazing pottery kiln being fired once or twice a year. We welcome visitors to the studio so if you would like a visit just ask us We often have our own eggs, honey, fruit and farm produce for sale. There is grey water available for topping your tanks up There are brochures in the studio for more information on the local attractions. Deepdene Farmstay is a beautiful rural property with a fabulous view! We have a number of unpowered camp sites located approximately 5 minutes drive from Augusta, which offers a number of tourist attractions and great fishing spots. We are also located a short 800m from Jewel Cave, which is a very popular tourist attraction and café. Our campsites overlook paddocks of cows and horses, with a lovely breeze and a number of large trees to offer shade in the summer, while being protected from the harsh winds in winter. If you are pretty much self contained and would like to camp out away from the hustle and bustle, in a tranquil and peaceful setting...then this is for you. However, if you like life's luxuries, then this won't be your cup of tea. One of the reviews said nice but a bit wild, I think they must be used to caravan parks or something. We try our best to fit in with the environment, so we have a couple of compost toilets and solar showers (for private not public use, for more info on this, please enquire ) and compost and recycling bins to try and do our bit. Dogs are permitted but this is a working farm with livestock so uncontrolled dogs chasing wildlife or stock which cant be controlled will be dealt with as needed including euthanised. If its hard to control don't bring it please!

Creek Junction Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue. Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them. Hidden Corner Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of the three campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind. Shed Pad (No longer has bathroom facilities) Shed Pad is our only powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed. It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs (an extra 2 can be provided if required). WIFI is also available for an additional fee. It is an intimate site, perfect for one large caravan or two small caravans and a couple of swags/tents. It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. it is at the entrance to the property next to the main shed and in close proximity to the house.

There is loads of space to camp, with lots of animals such as horse and goats to wander round to see. We stayed 7 nights and found this property to be a great base for exploring the area. There are awesome places to visit all within a 30 min drive. We loved the Busselton Jetty, Meelup Beach, Smiths Beach, The Aquarium, Swings & Roundabouts winery, Siesta Park. We prefer staying out of the hustle of the bigger towns and this property gave us plenty of space, the kids could ride bikes around.

This is such a beautiful place to stay! There’s so much to compliment, the campsites are peaceful; trees and picnic tables around There’s a large fire pit and camp kitchen, showers and toilets are good. Showers are on a 3 minute timer due to rainwater which is great, unless you want to wash your hair 😅 There’s a fridge with local farm food to purchase as well as a cafe on site, which has all locally produced food and food from the farm itself, and it tastes incredible There are horses, walk trails and the farm dogs are gorgeous Definitely would stay here again! Lovely quiet place. Thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting. Very informative talk and tasting. Site 4 was a good site as on the end near road entry to Site 3. Even though it was extremely hot when we arrived under the trees kept us coolish.

Blackwood Ridge Nature Park is situated on the Roebank property and as party of the first settlement in this area, both Roebank and the neighbouring Peninsula House have historical significance in Bridgetown. The Roebank Cottage was built in 1890 by the grand-daughter of John Septimus Roe who was a famous civil engineer contributing to the original town planning of Perth City and Roebourne. In the early days, Roebank was used for livestock grazing and had the largest shearing shed this side of Bridgetown used by the neighbouring farmers. Peaceful Pastures is set over 9.3 acres. The back 5 acres has a watercourse running through which wild ducks frequent. The front 4 acres has a shed in the centre and 3 caravan campsites. We welcome quiet and considerate campers, who are self-contained with their own facilities. A self-contained fire pit is provided at each of the 3 campsites, for use outside the state fire ban that extends from Nov 1st to May 10th. Firewood may be available, but bringing your own is recommended. There is a small water tank, with rainwater available at the tap. This is to be used minimally at times of no rain and not to be used for car or van washing. There are a number of wild kangaroos and emus in the area, which can often be seen when driving along the road. The property is located 2.2 km off the South-Western Highway along a quiet, sealed road. Close by is the Kirup Tavern which has well-priced meals, pool tables and dartboards. It's a 15-minute drive from Donnybrook, with shops, restaurants, weekend markets and the Apple Fun Park, and 11 minutes from the tourist town of Balingup. Guests are welcome to use the trampoline, but children must be supervised, as there is no safety enclosure fitted.

Farm stays near Busselton guide

When to go

Temperatures can be very hot throughout summer, especially in January the thermometer can soar to above 30 degrees celsius between December and March. June and July are cooler. Spring, Autumn and Winter and top times to visit Margaret River and surrounds. Whale watching season runs from around June to early December. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot Humpback, Southern Right, Minke and Blue Whales.

  • Check for alerts and road/park closures before travelling. www.emergency.wa.gov.au and https://alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au.
  • The remote parks operated by the Parks & Wildlife Service have no power, nor running water or wifi and mobile phone coverage.
  • If driving, watch out for kangaroos, especially at dawn and dusk.
  • Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River are good places to stock up before heading south.
  • Whale watching trips are offered from Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River.
  • Busselton has a good fishing/camping gear shop.
  • Not all parks, even those in town, offer wifi.
