Deepdene Farmstay is a beautiful rural property with a fabulous view! We have a number of unpowered camp sites located approximately 5 minutes drive from Augusta, which offers a number of tourist attractions and great fishing spots. We are also located a short 800m from Jewel Cave, which is a very popular tourist attraction and café. Our campsites overlook paddocks of cows and horses, with a lovely breeze and a number of large trees to offer shade in the summer, while being protected from the harsh winds in winter. If you are pretty much self contained and would like to camp out away from the hustle and bustle, in a tranquil and peaceful setting...then this is for you. However, if you like life's luxuries, then this won't be your cup of tea. One of the reviews said nice but a bit wild, I think they must be used to caravan parks or something. We try our best to fit in with the environment, so we have a couple of compost toilets and solar showers (for private not public use, for more info on this, please enquire ) and compost and recycling bins to try and do our bit. Dogs are permitted but this is a working farm with livestock so uncontrolled dogs chasing wildlife or stock which cant be controlled will be dealt with as needed including euthanised. If its hard to control don't bring it please!

Redgum Hill Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting. Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter. Valley Vista Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm. Creek Junction Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue. Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them. Hidden Corner Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of the three campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind. Shed Pad (No longer has bathroom facilities) Shed Pad is our only powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed. It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs (an extra 2 can be provided if required). WIFI is also available for an additional fee. It is an intimate site, perfect for one large caravan or two small caravans and a couple of swags/tents. It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. it is at the entrance to the property next to the main shed and in close proximity to the house.

This is such a beautiful place to stay! There’s so much to compliment, the campsites are peaceful; trees and picnic tables around There’s a large fire pit and camp kitchen, showers and toilets are good. Showers are on a 3 minute timer due to rainwater which is great, unless you want to wash your hair 😅 There’s a fridge with local farm food to purchase as well as a cafe on site, which has all locally produced food and food from the farm itself, and it tastes incredible There are horses, walk trails and the farm dogs are gorgeous Definitely would stay here again! Thank you

Lovely quiet place. Thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting. Very informative talk and tasting. Site 4 was a good site as on the end near road entry to Site 3. Even though it was extremely hot when we arrived under the trees kept us coolish.

Lovely grassy, shady site overlooking the dam. Short drive to Margaret River, Busselton, Yallingup and Dunsborough. Camp is relatively close to the highway so expect some distant road noise. Friendly host with wine tasting available and Beerfarm near by.

We loved camping here. The campsite was very spacious and the views were lovely. Perfect place for some stargazing. Our dogs loved having so much space to run around. We are hoping to come back again in future.

Camping under tall trees overlooking vineyards with only a few other well spaced sites made for a lovely place to stay and base ourselves for the Margaret River region. Great wine tasting offered to guests at 3:30 every afternoon and our dog was welcome. Very friendly staff. Also a great brewery next door with a short course golf driving range complete with barrels in a dam to aim for on the edge of the beer garden.

Great that a wineyard offers something like this for campers! I think more should do that. But what was the best about the stay was the complementary wine tasting with Ulf. He is a real character and makes the tasting extra special!

What a magic property - surrounded by State Forrest and only 15 minutes away from Donnybrook which has everything you’d need or forgotten to bring. We look for privacy for our Hipcamp getaways and this camp delivered. Our Border Collie ran off lead all weekend. Woke up to the sound of birds and a beautiful view. We definitely will be back - next time with our Mtn. bikes to explore the many tracks around Thank you Dawn allowing us to stay at your oasis in the bush.

Weekend Trip to Corymbia Farm

Beautiful outlook and peaceful. Fantastic sunset views. There’s ample room for campers to be well spaced out which was nice. In our case, we had a motorhome which required a bit of driving about to find a level site suitable to our liking. Perhaps some attention with a grader or tractor and bucket here and there along the designated parking area would make the campsite perfect for all comers.

The best great views camping near Busselton guide

When to go

Temperatures can be very hot throughout summer, especially in January the thermometer can soar to above 30 degrees celsius between December and March. June and July are cooler. Spring, Autumn and Winter and top times to visit Margaret River and surrounds. Whale watching season runs from around June to early December. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot Humpback, Southern Right, Minke and Blue Whales.

Know before you go

Check for alerts and road/park closures before travelling. www.emergency.wa.gov.au and https://alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au.
The remote parks operated by the Parks & Wildlife Service have no power, nor running water or wifi and mobile phone coverage.
If driving, watch out for kangaroos, especially at dawn and dusk.
Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River are good places to stock up before heading south.
Whale watching trips are offered from Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River.
Busselton has a good fishing/camping gear shop.
Not all parks, even those in town, offer wifi.
