My husband Kim and I have a strong focus on the environment and sustainability in our every day lifestyle and care for the land. We now also have 20 artificial nest tubes to support the Carnabys black cockatoos who return each August to breed. Our intention is to leave the land in a better state than when we first came here and we now want to share the wonderful environment with others, providing a place to get away and recharge as well as get excited about nature and all its wonders. In line with our environmental focus, we ask campers to Leave No Trace. This means you will need to have your own toilet facilities with you, you will need to take all your rubbish away with you and leave your car parked for the duration of your stay. As fallen timber is precious habit for small creatures (it’s not firewood!) you will need to purchase firewood from us for your stay. Please note that due to the Perth area now being in the Polyphagus Shothole Borer quarantine area you are no longer be able to bring firewood with you from the city. This is to safeguard our precious site and the surrounding bush. (Please get in touch with us if you aren't coming from Perth). Dogs are welcome but please keep them with you and don’t let them chase stock or wildlife. You are welcome to bring push bikes, or to explore on foot. We’d love to welcome you to this wonderful ecosystem. You will be camping in an area natural bush that feels a million miles from the city.

Derrin went out of her way to help me out this weekend! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away and not be too far from Perth. I took a 13ft hybrid to the echinda camp site and getting out was a bit tight (decent thickness short branch from a tree) and a full size van would have made it past it. However you can camp in the opening at the same site (huge open space) but just check the entry in and out before you drive in 😉

5 beautiful acres in the Swan Valley with horses, we run a horse rehoming charity from here where all proceeds from hipcamp go to support our facility. Along with plenty of horses, you'll also see kangaroos at certain times and our pet sheep Jamima who thinks she's a horse! A superb property with a winter creek and an open paddock where the horses live. It's very peaceful. There are only two camping sites available on this wonderful property at any time so privacy is assured. There is also a dam on the property so please mind any children with absent swimming abilities. Campfires are allowed during the season, and there is a toilet and shower available in the shed 100 meters from the camping area. Smaller groups booking the campsites will have full access to the toilet and shower. Please note, however, we offer a group camping option for larger groups but those booking this option must be fully self-contained as our facilities are not enough to support a large group. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy here, we kindly ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave. We also ask that you please do not feed the horses. The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance. Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. 🔥 campfires as per shire rules are allowed between April 30th and October 1st 🔥 Thanks all Our family moved to Toodyay 7 years ago after spending 8 years in Kalgoorlie, we dreamt of space to keep animals and raise our children. Avonbrook is ideal with its yearlong Creek and rocky outcrops for our Dexter cattle and Nigerian Dwarf x goats. We hope to enjoy for many years to come. It is recommended that only 4 Wheel drives for access and a high clearance caravan/trailer. We have 5 campsites at the moment, site A is the smaller of them, on the left beside the creek, and Site 1 next then site 2, sites 3 and 4 are paddock side on the right. There are unfortunately a few ants nests around so please be aware and pitch up anywhere around the site thats best, even on the paddock side if suits... thanks, Sarah PS the cows can be naughty and like to chew cords so keep the gate shut to resist temptation! Hope you enjoy your stay on our land. Proceeds go back into feeding livestock and the maintenance of our farm. Freedom Farmstay - simple, back to nature camping for FULLY self-contained travellers. CHILDREN are always FREE... Quiet location on acreage in rural Baldivis (within the Perth metro area). We love our little tranquil piece of paradise... our little freedom farm, with it's beautiful natural spaces and menagerie of animals, yet close to lots of local amenities in Baldivis / Rockingham. We're just a 15min drive to the beach and 30mins to Perth city or Mandurah. We can only accommodate a small number of campers, or groups of campers, at any given time.. so you have space, solitude and security for your family/group. You MUST be fully self contained WITH your OWN TOILET. Clear bore water for small tank fills can be arranged during your stay. NOTE: we do NOT have mains water and constant tap access is not available. Water refills need to be requested and you may need to wait up to a day. Sites are in open paddocks with some limited shade available. Dogs are allowed ONLY if kept on lead at all times. Sites 1 & 2: Suitable for small/med vans, motorhomes, camper trailers and MINI-buses. Could fit 3 families if you're with a group. Private site for your family/group only. Site 3 (Families WITH children): Large area that can take all size vehicles including big rigs and full size buses. This is a share site, so you may be sharing with other families (max 12 vans across 9 spots). If you wish to book for a large group, book as early as possible. Huge access gap into paddock, approx 15mtrs wide. NOTE: If you are NOT travelling WITH CHILDREN please do NOT book this area!! Site 4: For any sized vehicles. Suitable for up to 6 vans if camping with a group. This is a share site, so you may be sharing with others (max 6 vans across 4 spots) If you wish to book for a group, book as early as possible. Access gap approx 10mtrs wide. Campfires allowed in contained fire pits. Important NOTE: This is a WORKING hobby farm. There are tyres and poles, sand piles, fencing projects underway, etc etc. There are also many free roaming animals - our friendly farm dog, the chooks, sheep and alpaca.. along with the horse! If you are looking for manicured, super flat areas or have a fear of animals - this is NOT the place for you. There are also a HUGE number of factors that can affect your stay that I have ZERO control over... The seasons change a lot of things throughout the course of the year: we have snakes (like ALL Aussie bush places) for most of the year; an assortment of insects, according to their seasons; varying growth stages of grasses - long, short, brown, green and sometimes grass seeds/prickles.. along with some crazy weather on occasion (high winds, high temps, storms) - NONE of which I have any control over.. so if you are a moaning myrtle and any of those things are likely to bother you, please don't come to our property... oh, and roosters - we have them too! If you accept that you are staying on a working hobby farm and that I have no control over nature - then welcome, there is much beauty here for those who have the eyes to see - and as a base to explore the Perth area, we have a pretty convenient spot :)

We are closed from 1 Dec through to 31 March due to High Fire Risk. Our 43-hectare property is on the edge of the Darling Scarp behind the historical Fairbridge Village. Only 1 hour south of Perth, so it is close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to enjoy the silence of the bush. There are elevated campsites with views west towards Mandurah and the Peel Estuary, northwest views toward Perth City, and three dams on the property. Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :) Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter. Dog friendly. Campfires are permitted in designated areas with the host's approval (depending on fire restrictions). We are closed over the summer period due to increased fire risk.

We are a hobby farm set on 100-acres on the North Dandalup scarp, with a few sheep. You will find kangaroos, echidnas, sometimes emus visiting our property. You can enjoy the great views into the horizon towards the Indian Ocean amidst the tall jarrah and gum trees. Campsites are set in the woodlands, some with views. It’s perfect for people seeking 'quiet' time away, but still near to amenities in the towns around here. You can take walks to experience forest therapy, have a campfire or canoe in the dams during wintertime. There is no power, water or toilet facilities so campers must be completely self-contained. You are expected to clear up and take all rubbish with you. Leave no trace. The terrain is rather hilly, hence a few sites are accessible only by 4WD (Sembawang and Changi). There are some sites that are still accessible with regular cars (Opera 1, 2 or 3; Tampines, Bedok). RVs and small caravans are welcomed. All vehicles have to stay on the paths, and not to make any tracks. The gravel road leading to our property is shared with neighbours who run horses. As such, please drive really slowly here so as not to cause the horses to bolt. During the summer fire season, fires are strictly prohibited! Dogs welcome (on leash).

Solar panels and inverters are the best ways to provide power for your must-have devices when camping and can be used anywhere. However we do allow generators, but they can only operate strictly between 9am-6pm. Turn down all music and please lower your voices at 8pm, we don't mind if you still have fun, but take other campers into consideration please. All equipment is PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Playground Rules: - Adult Supervision required for use - No bare feet, wear proper footwear - Do not use play equipment improperly - No pushing or shoving Free honey tastings are available when shop is open, but please ask and we can arrange a tasting for you. Campers will be held responsible for any damaged caused during their stay. Kindly note this is a working farm and we operates completely off-grid, where power and water are valuable resources. We kindly request that you limit your shower time to no more than 3 minutes and switch off all lights when not in use, our generator may start from time to time.

We are just over an hour from Perth at the very north end of the Darling Range with enormous starry night skies. My husband Kim and I have a strong focus on the environment and sustainability in our every day lifestyle and care for the land. Over the last 10 years or so we have planted almost 67,000 trees and shrubs successfully establishing wildlife corridors right across the property. We now also have 20 artificial nest tubes to support the Carnabys black cockatoos who return each August to breed. Our intention is to leave the land in a better state than when we first came here and we now want to share the wonderful environment with others, providing a place to get away and recharge as well as get excited about nature and all its wonders. In line with our environmental focus, we ask campers to Leave No Trace. This means you will need to have your own toilet facilities with you, you will need to take all your rubbish away with you and leave your car parked for the duration of your stay. As fallen timber is precious habit for small creatures (it’s not firewood!) you will need to purchase firewood from us for your stay. Please note that due to the Perth area now being in the Polyphagus Shothole Borer quarantine area you are no longer be able to bring firewood with you from the city. This is to safeguard our precious site and the surrounding bush. (Please get in touch with us if you aren't coming from Perth). Dogs are welcome but please keep them with you and don’t let them chase stock or wildlife. You are welcome to bring push bikes, or to explore on foot. We’d love to welcome you to this wonderful ecosystem. You will be camping in an area natural bush that feels a million miles from the city.
