Tucked away on a quiet bush block just 15 minutes from the historic town of Toodyay, Julimar Forest Camp offers a single, private wild-camping site surrounded by native jarrah, marri, and wandoo forest. Here, you’ll share the land only with kangaroos grazing at dawn, black- and red-tailed cockatoos calling overhead, and a chorus of native birds through the day. This is true bush camping — peaceful, secluded, and simple. Guests bring their own water, cooking setup, and waste systems (bins provided for rubbish). There’s no power or amenities, just the sounds of the bush and endless starry skies. It’s ideal for self-sufficient campers seeking stillness, privacy, and a genuine connection with nature. It was a great spot under the Katrin trees for a couple of nights to check out the local towns like Bindoon, New Norcia and Bolgart.

What a lovely trip we had. 1st time setting our camper and this was perfect for us. Total bush feel with birds chirping in the mornings. Really felt like we were the only ones there. Site is nice a flat and Jeanelle was a very good host! We’ll be going back for seconds! 🙏🏻

Julimar Forest Campsite
If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this secluded bush camp is hard to beat. With only one campsite, you have the entire place to yourself, making it perfect for relaxing and switching off. Although it’s close to a very quiet road, the campsite is completely hidden from view, so it still feels wonderfully private. It’s also conveniently located just a short drive from Toodyay, making it an ideal weekend escape. Firewood is available to purchase on-site, and the owners are incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly. If you’re after a tranquil bush camping experience with plenty, I highly recommend this camp.

Epic stargazing in a beautiful spot

Beautiful little spot and close to town. Was extremely lovely to sit out and stargaze! Good size, we had 4 adults, 3 kids and 4 dogs staying on the site, one large tent and a caravan with space to have a gazebo, picnic table set up and fire area . Hosts were welcoming, helpful and accommodating. We all enjoyed our stay, thank you! 😊

Julimar Forest Campsite
Lovely camping spot in the bush, easy access and loads of tranquility. Enjoyed listening to the birds and soaking up nature. Beautiful sunsets as well as sunrises and was able to enjoy roasting marshmallows as it was not fire ban time. Very friendly hosts. Thanks heaps.
