Something Different is a large machinery shed that has been converted into a comfortable holiday house with three bedrooms and one bathroom (extra toilet outside) and huge living spaces. You can really kick back here and relax!
The walls and ceilings have been extensively insulated. There is a wood heater in the kitchen and another one in the main part of the Shed so it can be kept nice and cosy despite its size!
You can drive your car/van inside the shed if you wish or park it under any of the many surrounding trees.
The Shed sleeps 10 in total (base price covers all 10), with 1 queen and 1 single bed in one room, 1 dbl bed and 2 single beds in another room, and 1 queen bed and 1 single bed in a third room.
All linen, towels, etc. are provided.
If you have more people, they are welcome to pitch a tent or park their caravan on the grounds around the shed. For a large group (say 10 plus) we charge an extra $20 (total) to cover the extra power you will need.
There's a chook yard/dog yard with 2 kennels outside but you're welcome to have your dog (not chooks) inside the Shed.

There are friendly free-ranging chickens and Guinea fowl, a mischievous mini pig, friendly goats, sheep, and family dogs on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite.
THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY.
The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site.
CHILDREN - The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past).
Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property.
Our communal BBQ area is now open with a gas BBQ, picnic table and sink. We suggest bringing your own cooker, kettle, esky, etc, Bringing your own drinking water is a must, as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam.
We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open cooking flames during fire bans.
All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa pig and our goats will always appreciate your veggie scraps.
Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives).

The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site.
CHILDREN - The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past).
Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property.
Our communal BBQ area is now open with a gas BBQ, picnic table and sink. We suggest bringing your own cooker, kettle, esky, etc, Bringing your own drinking water is a must, as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam.
We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open cooking flames during fire bans.
All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa pig and our goats will always appreciate your veggie scraps.
Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives).

What a lovely site, even though it was not green as it was summer, it is still lovely. Especially at night with the stars. The site is pretty with trees and the friendly animals. Alisons rustic toilet and shower set up was fantastic and so appreciated. Starring at the stars while showering was magical. The fact that you get the site to yourself is even better. 5 mins from town makes it so convenient. 10 mins to lane poole for kayaking, hiking and swimming. If you do go in summer, be prepared for March flies, but the Dettol and water (or baby oil) mix we used worked well to determine them. We are looking forward to visiting in spring so we can enjoy the countryside in spring and a beautiful camp fire. Thank you Alison

Beautiful location , the peace and quiet was perfect , tall trees to keep the bite of the sun at bay , the wind minimal , the facilities where outstanding , a well built ablution block with, super clean , hot showers , The communal shed looks stunning at night , a natural wood inspired set up with heaps of seating , lighting and close enough to walk to , far enough to not hear the fun and be disturbed on your site .
The lady on the desk was very polite and welcoming , dogs are welcome on site , just keep them on leads/ tethered as there’s a few Roos and ducks that hang around the dam.
It’s a short trip from balingup , so if a tavern meal and pint is on the cards….🍻

My second stay here, such a lovely spot. Private, peaceful, with added comforts of a shower and toilet. Lovely little trails to walk around and a dark night sky perfect for stargazing.

We loved the views of neighbouring farm land from our camp-site, Paddock 2. There was a herd of cattle that walked past every afternoon and plenty of birds to spot and listen to.

Everything was just perfect! We loved it and the dogs loved it even more. The toilet and showers were an extra bonus, and always clean. We loved it so much that we made another booking while we were there.

The grounds were great! Spacious, quiet and great bathroom facilities. Our dog was also very comfortable camping at Harmony Dam Site. We will definitely be back 😊

Our family cant recommend this site highly enough. Alison and Rob were incredible hosts, the site is lovely and has incredible services (including possibly Australia's best camp shower!) and the kids had an amazing time with all of the birds and animals on the farm. We will definitely be return campers!

Fabulous camping spot, nice and quiet with a great view over the dam. Bathroom was cute and clean, kids loved the bath. Would definitely recommend to others. They have thought of everything, and the kids loved the peacock feathers

The healing land of harmony retreat is beautiful. Camping amongst the bush, swimming in the dam, farm animals was so serene. The beautiful hot water outdoor showers and toilet block made the experience enjoyable with our toddler. Our hosts even popped in for a friendly visit to ensure we had all we needed. Highly recommend the beautiful harmony retreat. Close to dwelling up town, swimming holes of lane pool and country beauty.
