Located on the edge of the lake, our gorgeous lake house can accommodate a caravan or motorhome on a designated parking pad. There’s also plenty of room to pitch a tent or swag on flat, grassy areas. A huge deck provides the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun. The lake house includes a small kitchenette and a separate toilet and shower.
Bring a fishing rod to try your luck catching silver perch, or nets for yabbies — there are plenty!
There’s an abundance of birdlife, including cockatoos, rosellas, king parrots, kookaburras, and tawny frogmouths. Kangaroos and echidnas often pay us a visit, too.
A grassed area with a fire pit is situated a few metres from the lake house, and firewood is available for purchase.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. A grassy dog enclosure is available for guests who wish to explore the area while leaving their pet in a safe space. If you would like to bring your pet, please add the pet fee which is listed as an Extra during the booking process.
A wood-fired pizza oven, located in a separate undercover area, is available for use.
Lovely bushwalks, motorbike, and horse tracks are located close to the property.
World-class surf breaks are within a half-hour drive, with Bells Beach being the most iconic.
Torquay is home to surf shops and eateries — Rip Curl, Billabong, Roxy, and Rojo are all within walking distance of each other. You’ll also find great local breweries such as Four Pines and Bells Beach Brewery.

Aireys inlet is a unique tiny town with so much to do. The local beach is iconic for surfing and swimming, the local creek is a favourite at the inlet for young kids to swim or for canoeists to have somewhere quiet to paddle. Mountain biking is a must in the area, with thousands of tracks available right outside the back door.
If you have your own horse you can bring it along on holiday with you, we have paddocks available and there are so many gorgeous tracks around to ride on and beach riding at low tide and the right times is a bucket list item!
The location itself is 17 acres and is next to the Painkallac creek in a peaceful bush setting. This location used to be a horse riding school which is now not running but has been converted to offer camping, caravan and RV parking. It’s only 1.5 km from the beach and the Otway national park is right on your doorstep. If you have bikes, horses or love to hike or run, or just laze on the beach, it’s a perfect location, be ready to be spoilt as there are so many tracks on offer in our stunning local beach and bush land.
The local town of aireys inlet has plenty to offer, a general store for all your essentials, loads of places to eat out for breakfast, lunch or dinner and only 1 3/4hrs from Melbourne.
No need to stress if you don’t want to be near anyone else, this is a small setting so it’s very private and its only got one space to rent so that you have peace and quiet. If you do have friends and want to book a double space please just message me and I can open up another space for you.
I also have an option to add a pottery class for you, the cost is $50 a person for a two hour session.

It was an overgrown mess at the time, covered in broken bricks and beer cans. I've tried to keep the bush aspect whilst creating a park-like surround with plenty of grassy space. I have big plans for this land and hope to build a steam museum in another area over the creek. Excitingly, I will also be establishing a blacksmiths forge in that area, which was moved piece by piece from an historic farm at Avoca. Chris is an engineer, antique restorer and artisan working from home.

We loved our stay at this beautiful farm Hipcamp, with horses grazing peacefully nearby. Waking up to the sounds of the farm and watching the horses wander past our caravan made it such a special experience, especially for the kids. The site was spacious, easy to access and quiet at night. The hosts were warm and welcoming, with great communication. We’d happily return.

The gazebo, chairs and table are really good to have and mean you can pack even lighter!

This was a truly special camp site. The perfect place to camp with a group of friends. The scenery is beautiful. The reserve, the Greenland the lake in the distance the stars at night accompanied by a log fire pit… it simply doesn’t get more cosy. We found it very easy to decompress here after a strenuous week of work and planning. It was worth all the effort.
On top of this, the land is located in a perfect place. Right between Torquay, Lorne and Airleys. Driving distance from the beach.
I highly recommend this to people who are looking to camp with friends and have some privacy doing so.

Penzance is clearly a labour of love and we felt blessed that Chris opened part of his bushland property to us. The amenities are above and beyond expectations. Thoughtful quirkiness and priceless treasures are plentiful. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property, access to the billabong is a little walk down the hill but not far. Great spot for large groups. Ground isnt very level for RTTs so bring something to help level if you need it. There was some old planks there for firewood that I used. When I booked it was forecast for 45 degrees so the owner agreed to refund one of the nights.

Beautiful bush setting with amazingly bird life and only a short distance to Airies Inlet. Caroline was a wonderful host, friendly and welcoming of us and our dogs. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent location! Kids loved playing in the lake on the canoea and boat Mark kindly lent us. The hut was great with a few bunk beds and a fire place, woild be lovely on a winter’s day. Very secluded and tranquil spot, nobody around. Lots of wildlife. We had a great time and will be back! Mark was a great host and lovely to get along with. Highly Recommend!!!

Great location. We picked up our animals from post entry quarantine & it was the perfect spot for transition before getting on the road to SA! Saw lots of Kangaroos on site & was navigable with our 23 ft caravan.

We loved camping at the Bush retreat. We loved the privacy, the super clean site, bathroom facilities and the old relics on the property.
Our family of 5 had a very relaxing stay and would recommend this hipcamp to anyone interested in chilling with family and friends.

We had a lovely stay at Peter’s place. It was very quiet and peaceful. Nice and close to Colac for any last minute forgotten things but also just on the edge of the Otways so lots of great hikes and forest walks. Very handy having the toilet just down the road for anyone who didn’t want to use the camp toilet! Peter was easy to communicate with and we felt very welcome and comfortable.

We had a wonderful weekend camping at Victoria's Lake House site. It's a beautiful property and the kitchen and bathroom amenities were well kept and so nice to have over our stay. Victoria's also a lovely host and is happy to offer recommendations for places to visit or activities in the area. Lastly, the birdsong in the morning is unreal! We'll certainly be back for another stay :)

Victoria was a great host. Easy to communicate with and very accommodating of our extra needs during our stay. The camp was in a very convenient location for our visit to the region and the hot shower and toilet were great. The grassy area in front of the lake house was lovely. Perfect for a quick overnight stop to visit family.
