Hi there and welcome to my home, Penzance! I fell in love with this slice of heaven in 2010 and adore every back breaking inch of it. It was an overgrown mess at the time, covered in broken bricks and beer cans. I've tried to keep the bush aspect whilst creating a park-like surround with plenty of grassy space. I have big plans for this land and hope to build a steam museum in another area over the creek. Excitingly, I will also be establishing a blacksmiths forge in that area, which was moved piece by piece from an historic farm at Avoca. Chris is an engineer, antique restorer and artisan working from home.
I offer one site so privacy is assured. Larger groups can be accommodated, please enquire if you'd like to learn more.

Penzance Bushland Retreat highly recommended! This private camping destination is easily one of the best sites I’ve ever visited. Chris is very helpfull for your qustions,this site is an antique restorer, the property offers a unique blend of rugged bushland and curated charm. Best of all? It features a five-star toilet that makes the stay even more comfortable! :)

We really enjoyed our stay! We stopped for two nights and had the place to ourselves which was great! We wish we could have stayed longer. It is super peaceful, clean, easy to find, it’s in a central location and makes a wonderful place to return to after exploring all day. Tara and Steve seem like really lovely people and we are so grateful they could share their beautiful property with us! The birdsong and duck watching is that added extra!
Highly recommend! 10/10!

Such a great site where you feel in the middle of nature but you're actually so close to home.
The gazebo, chairs and table are really good to have and mean you can pack even lighter!
Our dog loved exploring the area and having a swim in the water.

We were very happy during our stay and loved the peace and quiet and views of fruit trees and tree lined forest. Listening to the Bellbirds and watching the Australian Wood ducks traverse the field was a delight. The camp fire setting was lit up at night around the water, very tranquil. Close to many interesting places to visit and walking tracks galore. Tara was very helpful sending us photos for direction onto the farm and came to greet us on arrival. Enjoyed eating the fresh fruit from the trees too.
You are rather exposed when the wind blows through and a 25 minute drive to the nearest dump point should be taken into consideration
if you stay a number of nights.

Fantastic spot tucked away among the apple and pear trees. Perfect for exploring sorrento, mornington and surrounds and very close to some lovely vineyards. It was quite and peaceful with plenty of space for our black lab to run around.

Beautiful property, access to the billabong is a little walk down the hill but not far. Great spot for large groups. Ground isnt very level for RTTs so bring something to help level if you need it. There was some old planks there for firewood that I used. When I booked it was forecast for 45 degrees so the owner agreed to refund one of the nights.

Stayed at Red Hill Orchard Farm first only 1 night, however if we are back in the area again we will definitely stay again. We arrived late which was no problem to Tara, there's a lovely lake at the bottom of the hill and firepit, to be fair if there was a group of you it would make for a brilliant weekend!

Great location. We picked up our animals from post entry quarantine & it was the perfect spot for transition before getting on the road to SA! Saw lots of Kangaroos on site & was navigable with our 23 ft caravan.

Nestled in a long forested valley and surrounded by fruit trees this magnificent field (it must almost be two cricket pitches in size) is mainly flat with a lower sloping level that leads your eye to a tree lined pond; it is rather magical. We pitched our 7m Mercedes LWB in a great location overlooking the pond. We were the only people there for the first night so had first dibs. Two other families arrived on the second day but they were so far away from us you couldn't communicate even if you shouted. The bird life was fantastic (we hadn't come across a Bell Miner with a call like a hammer striking a wine bottle)
Tara and Steve were great hosts (not even a grumble at us being 15 minutes late due to following HipCamp Google maps link instead of entering the actual address... bit of advice: enter the Stanley's Road house address into your sat nav😉)
We thoroughly enjoyed a wine tasting at Avani vineyard (15 minute walk from the field) which Tara and Steve recommended.
All in all a top spot centrally positioned to explore the South and central regions if the Mornington Peninsula.

Wow had a wonderful, wonderful stay at this very picturesque ‘fruit tree orchard’ in Red Hill South. Lovely greeting from Tara upon arrival. The communication prior was excellent and I found the property with ease. I had the choice of any of the four sites and chose site 1 on the second tier overlooking the fire pit and dam. Wonderful views to the south and experienced great sunrises and sunsets to the west. Very peaceful and my border collie dog loved the open space of the well mowed paddock. Red Hill shops are approximately 3 k’s away - with a walking track next to the road to ensure safety. Great place for a coffee. Also did a loop return walk back via the old historic Red Hill Rail trail. I was in a 2 wheel drive motorhome - no issue with the terrain. Would definitely recommend Tara’s land for R&R and walking. Many wineries within close proximity also. Stunning views everywhere you look.will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely stay at Peter’s place. It was very quiet and peaceful. Nice and close to Colac for any last minute forgotten things but also just on the edge of the Otways so lots of great hikes and forest walks. Very handy having the toilet just down the road for anyone who didn’t want to use the camp toilet! Peter was easy to communicate with and we felt very welcome and comfortable.
