We are within easy reach of Toolangi State Forest with many walks and trails, including the WirraWilla Rainforest Walk and the Kalatha Giant Mountain Ash tree walk. This area is also popular for 4 wheel driving and there are plenty of tracks in the nearby state forest if you have the correct gear, vehicle and an appreciation for the wilderness. Healesville, Yarra Glen and Kinglake are equal distance away (18-20 minute drives) with services, plenty of cafes, restaurants, wineries and shopping: Healesville: Coles, IGA, Aldi Yarra Glen: IGA Kinglake: Foodworks Relax around the fire in the evenings (out of the fire danger season) and enjoy some great star gazing. Chris's place by the river is beautiful. The sound of the river and the birds was breathtaking. The grounds were extremely neat and tidy and the little hut was very quirky and interesting. We sat in there one afternoon when it got quite windy so it was very handy. Chris was very quick responding to any communication and very friendly.

1 night at Millers Farm "The Hills are alive"

It was pure joy to wake up on Miller's farm. The rooster heralded dawn - better than any alarm clock. That inspired the chorus of birdsong; kookaburras, cockatoos, wattlebirds, magpies, currawongs. That in turn encouraged the sheep - they started their day bleating for their feathered friends to join them. Farmer Anne let the feathers free and mayhem reigned. Chooks, turkeys and the sole duck running around chatting with excitement at the new day. The goats and alpacas were pretty happy to say hi too. How lucky were we to be part of it. Highly recommend Miller's Camp - check in was easy. Communication great. Anne was lovely. Camp kitchen was a bonus. Great stay. Thankyou.

Weekend Trip to Mountain Flower Farm

Lovely spot, easy to find and plenty of room for our 5 caravans, 2 of which were 20ft in length. Peaceful and large grassy area. Tamara came to say hello to our group & talked about the local area & events. She was very welcoming. So nice to see the sheep & goats grazing in the paddocks. We had a choice of two large fire pits. Would definitely camp here again.

Weekend Trip to Tonimbuk Farm

The campsite was big enough for our group with 4 tents and three cars. Robert was so generous, providing us firewood, power, a floodlight and he let us stay in the shed as it was non-stop rain. He checked in with us frequently to make sure we were okay. Reception is very limited. Two friendly dogs kept us company.

4 nights at Kiernan Park Equestrian Centre

We had a wonderful stay at Kiernan Park Equestrian Centre. Being surrounded by such beautiful countryside, horses, roos and rabbits, it was beyond relaxing. We had a couple of great nights around the fire too. Jenny was the perfect host, taking care of us and chatting whilst our doggos played. Jenny's doggo, Whiz, is gorgeous. We'll definitely be back when we're exploring the Yarra Valley again. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely weekend away staying at Rivers Run. Lovely quiet grassed area, with fire pit fully loaded and ready to go! Michelle was great with communication, and our dog had a lovely time with their beautiful and friendly dog. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet spot to get away.

The fenced off area is well maintained and can comfortably fit 3 vans. It is also pet friendly, so dogs have plenty of space to roam off lead. There is also a cute little room where you can hang out if the weather is not being nice.

Our stay at Miller’s farm had been nothing but wonderful! Kate and the whole family, especially Anne, were the best hosts! The hospitality, accommodation, and friendliness were top-notch. It was really lovely and relaxing to watch both the farm animals and the wildlife. We’ll definitely come back next time.

Weekend Trip to Toolangi Springwater Forest Camp

A beautiful property. The spring is stunning. We had a lovely swim. The campsite is perfect. There are 2 tiny houses on the property too, but they are far enough away to feel you are there on your own. Adam provided wood for our fires, which was a lovely added bonus. Directions and trip tips for Adam where great!

Plenty of turning space for long vehicles to move and turn around.

Keren and her family and friends were so lovely and welcoming - and what a perfect spot they have for camping. We had a wonderful time watching crayfish in the water, swimming, playing on the grass. Highly recommend!
