Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. Weekend Trip to Silver Creek Escape

The place was right next to the National Park, so it was easy to access for walks. There was a lovely little walk along the creek too. The campsite itself was spacious and was great to have free wifi and power. Make sure you order the eggs and sourdough bread. They were absolutely delicious. Clara, the host, was lovely.

Weekend Trip to Macedon Ranges Glamping

We had a fantastic time here! Jonathan and Jennifer were so lovely and welcoming, and do a mean vegan breakfast! The bell tent had everything we needed including board games, a coffee machine, and a mini fridge. There's also a table and chairs outside of the tent so we relaxed out there with a bottle of wine. We loved seeing the local wildlife that they care for too. Will be back again!

Such a beautiful camping experience on an open plot of land owned by Kim and Glen. Clean toilet and plenty of space for my 2 year old to run about and dog to play fetch. Kim was a beautiful person to talk with and the morning check in was lovely . Thanks again Kim and Glen. We will definetly be back again .

We loved our stay! The large grassy sites along the creek were beautiful and so peaceful. The firepit, fresh sourdough from Kim, and our own super-clean toilet made the whole weekend feel easy and wholesome. The sites are well spaced out with plenty of room and privacy. We’ll definitely be back!

The scenery at this Hipcamp is breathtaking combined with the immaculately kept farm ensures an enjoyable stay Hosts were very responsive and supportive during my 4 day stay. The portaloo supplied was clean and well maintained. Very peaceful as sites spread out. Weber kettles for cooking and fires. Overall a great stay

We had an excellent two nights camping at Strath Creek Station. Great property, beautiful views, grassy camp site, fire drum, creek nearby for fishing, and our own porta loo too. Well done to the hosts for creating this place. My son says we have to come back.

We had a great time at Ferny Glades. Clean and tranquil listening to the river while sitting around the campfire. Michael was helpful and upbeat. It was easy to find and we fitted our van there easily. We will be back.

Weekend Trip to Lancefield Lake's A WETLANDS WONDER

We had a fantastic time here. The property is beautifully maintained, with stunning lakes and plenty of space to relax. The campsites are well spaced out, private, and spacious. it never felt crowded. The bathroom facilities were excellent. clean, modern, hot water, and with two separate toilets, which made things so convenient. The hosts were fantastic and really welcoming. Our kids had an amazing time kayaking on the lakes and exploring the bushland — such a great spot for families. We’ll definitely be back!
