Weekend Trip to Retreat to Granite Springs Farmstay

We had an amazing stay! Sally and her wonderful family made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Their property is beautiful and perfect for camping plenty of space, peaceful farm surroundings, and lots of friendly animals. My 9-year-old had an absolute blast spending time near the horses, goats, the sweetest dogs, and spotting native birds. A special mention to Sally’s son, who became the best “local guide” my boy could ask for. He was an incredibly lovely, friendly, and super polite young gentleman "truly a highlight of our stay". We stayed in a powered site close to the farm, which was super convenient, but they also offer unpowered sites that are a bit more private if you prefer a quieter spot. Both options are great. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place more. It’s a fantastic experience for families and anyone who wants a relaxed and welcoming farm-style camping getaway. We’ll definitely be returning!

We had such a fantastic stay at Granite Springs Farmstay near Chiltern. From the moment we arrived, Sally was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming, and instantly made us feel comfortable. We stayed at Farmstay Site 4A, which was very easy to access and had plenty of room for our setup. The site was private, peaceful, and powered, and we loved being right near a paddock where we could watch the horses and foals playing throughout the day. Sitting outside and watching the sun set over the property was genuinely stunning. The whole atmosphere felt safe, relaxed, and completely stress free. Hearing the gentle nays of the horses added to the charm in the best way. Our kids had an absolute blast meeting and feeding the horses and goats, and they have not stopped talking about the friendly farm animals since we got home. They are already asking when we can come back for a longer stay. A big highlight was swimming at the waterhole, which the kids adored. Sally also took us on a lovely little tour of the vegetable patches, and we even got to try some fresh guinea fowl eggs, which were so tasty. The farm was easy to find, the price was fantastic, and everything felt genuine, warm, and full of country hospitality. We would recommend Granite Springs Farmstay to absolutely anyone looking for a real farm experience. We only stayed one night this time, but we cannot wait to return and spend even more time there.

We had a lovely stay at Dreamers Snowgum Chalet. We arrived to a welcome with lights on, door open and a bottle of wine to relax with after a long travel! Such a cosy, well furnished place with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Walking distance to shops and great view of the snow on Mt Bogong. We had the best time! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left! Animal feeding, swimming in the dam and just sitting back taking it all in. Super easy access, not far from the highway. Loved being able to have the option to hook up to power for a small extra cost. My two girls didn’t stop the whole time, a huge shout out to Joshy who kept them busy showing them all around the farm. We loved the added extra farm tour and animal feeding, a must if you have kids. Can not fault our stay, amazing host’s. The kids are already planning their next visit.

Weekend Trip to Little Olive Cabin

Had the best night’s sleep at the Little Olive Cabin, it so peaceful and cosy. The welcome hamper was beyond generous, and we loved sitting out on the porch in the morning sunshine with breakfast and taking slow walks around the estate. Meeting the lovely owner Steve (who gave us chestnuts to roast in the fire!) made it feel even more special. Just such a wholesome, gorgeous experience all around.

We booked in a farm tour which was excellent, we got to have a look around the farm, feed the animals and hear about the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to heading back :)
