Our property offers are great getaway experience for any traveller. The Craigbourne Dam is a all year round recreational fishing ground and stocks many species of fish i.e. Atlantic Salmon, Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout to name a few. Our property is a pet friendly park but we do ask all patrons to be considerate of the surrounding farmland and live stock . As we are a fully self contained campground we do not provide power, toilets or showers. You'll need to have your own amenities and discard of any rubbish . Limit phone coverage but still enough to call/text Contained campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood for sale for a small fee (see Extras). Our site is positioned on a section of our 3 acre block that is totally private from our residence. We are located just an easy 20 minutes from Hobart airport. The site is not just in a paddock but is surrounded by beautiful native trees and garden - there is a small camp shelter with power, bench, sink, hot water and a bar fridge. There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off after a swim. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. We have a deck positioned to pull up to next to the shed. Clifton Beach is a beachside community located on the south arm peninsula 25 minutes from Hobart city and is the closest surf beach to Hobart. The south arm peninsula itself has many great walks and beautiful beaches. It is a great spot to base yourself to explore Hobart and local attractions. e.g Port Arthur 90 minutes. Our Hipcamp site has full council approval.

The Mount Managa Forest Reserve is very close by, with access to forestry tracks for bikes and hikes. Also very close to some great beaches where you can enjoy water activities. There is a boat ramp on the other side of bay approximately 5kms away. There are shops and cafes just down the road at Adventure Bay. 1.5 hours drive from Hobart. Guests must be full self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Pets are allowed off leash but will needs to be under control at all times.

GATEWAY TO PORT ARTHUR The Forcett Inn is a small 25-acre self-sufficient farm that has its own cattle, sheep, and chickens on the property. You will feel like you're in the middle of nowhere yet you are just 6km from the town of Sorell, 10 minutes from surf beach, pubs, cafes, and shops, in the hub of the region's many attractions. We welcome self-contained travelers, you must have your own camp toilet and take all waste with you when you go. The property and sites have good drive-in and out access, and the sites overlook the pretty Forcett Rivulet. Unhook your van and leave on the secure grounds while you explore everything that is in the area. Turn right and there are Vineyards, Coal Valley is 15 minutes away, Frogmore, Riversdale, Puddle Duck, Pooleys, Wobbly Boot, and many many more. Hobart 40mins, with Salamanca markets every Saturday, Mona Ferry, Cascade brewery, all the restaurants and shops on the waterfront, and wharves. Enjoy the views from Mt Wellington. A bit further past Hobart and you are in the cider tasting area, call into Willie Smith for a cider experience or catch the ferry to go and visit Bruny Island. Turn Left and you have some boutique vineyards: Cape Bernier, and Bangor, all around 30 mins away and offer food as well. Unzoo devil park, Port Arthur and the coal mines, Eaglehawk neck, Tesselated Pavement, Blow hole, Lavender farm. Firepits are supplied, and Firewood can be purchased at time of booking if you're planning on having a campfire . Ten minutes drive to dump site and water refill. Base yourself at Forcett Inn and enjoy this fantastic region, with so much to do.If you are looking for somewhere safe to store your van securely we offer a storage facility that you can leave your van while travelling to and from your home in the mainland.

Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet 5 acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. Hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming, diving are all at your doorstep, not to mention the famous Three Capes Track and the Port Arthur Historic site just a short drive away. If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. **Please note that it's $20 per person per night. Small farm and vineyard at Macquarie Plains in the Upper Derwent Valley, southern Tasmania. The property is 380m from the junction of the Lyell Highway and the Gordon River Road. It has 450m absolute river frontage on the River Derwent (no riparian reserve). The river here is freshwater, potable and a renowned trout water, (licence required). Three kilometres from the village of Gretna. 4WD Preferred. 2WD need to assess river access. Campers need all own amenities and leave no trace. Dog friendly but please see rules, we have livestock and so dogs need to be well controlled at all times. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place (see rules around campfires). Due to hydro generation activity, the river may slowly rise or fall up to 1m (often without rain) so please be careful around the water.

We are located a few hundred metres from the Myrtle Forest walk and waterfall. We have unpowered sites located on the forest fringe, each with a firepit. We have firewood available so you can sit and enjoy the cool mountain evenings around the roaring fire. We have lovely rainforest to explore where wildlife abounds... wallabies, potoroos, wombats, bandicoots and Eastern quoll. Visitors must be self-contained. Dogs not permitted.In summer we have balmy days with views of Mount Wellington and in winter we often have snow to play in.Our resident horses love attention and a few carrots :) we breed shire horse and Freyja our resident drum horse loves a pat. Sounds Rivulet Campsite

Sounds Rivulet is a private bush campsite at Murdunna for people to enjoy while visiting the Forestier and Tasman Peninsulas. Campers can expect to have the entire site to themselves, shared with only the local wildlife. Only one group can book the site at a time. Sounds Rivulet is a small freshwater stream that runs all year round and is less than 100 meters from the campsite. Sounds Rivulet is pet friendly and campfires are allowed in the designated area on suitable days, not on total fire ban days. Please check the TAS Fire website for updates on fire bans. The campground has easy access for large vehicles with a turning circle, suitable for people with two-wheel drive cars, large cars towing caravans and boats, not for very large caravans ( a guest found it too challenging to get their car plus 9 meter caravan into the site) . There is a composting toilet for campers to use, please bring your own loo paper. There are also public toilets located 2km away, near the Murdunna shop which stocks a small range of groceries, supplies, and fuel. There is also a jetty and boat ramp at Murdunna. The campsite is centrally located and provides a perfect base to explore the natural beauty the surrounding area offers. A five-minute drive south will bring you to amazing views over the Tasman sea cliffs and the Cubed Coffee Van at Pirates Bay Lookout. A further two minutes south will take you to Eaglehawk Neck Beach. Dunalley Bay is a five-minute drive north and a perfect place to watch the sunset over the Bay. The Tasman Peninsula is home to world-class fishing and hiking, there are also a range of surf breaks for all abilities and a sheltered beach a short drive from the camp at Sommers Bay. Kids under 12 stay free!
