Our property is situated on the edge of Maydena, surrounded by nature at its best.
Ideally located for the mountain bike adventurer, with the world renowned Maydena Bike Park right on our doorstep.
We are also surrounded by both Mt Field and South West National Parks as well as the Styx and Florentine valleys, home to some of Australia's tallest trees. Enjoy any number of activities including bushwalking, trout fishing, kayaking or simply just taking in the stunning views.
We are offering self contained caravan accommodation as well as a private camp site for up to 2 vehicles. Campers must have their own amenities if staying at the campground, as there is no shower or toilet facilities. Nearest toilet and dump station is 1km away in the Maydena township. There are only basic supplies to be had at the post office, open Mon to Fri, so get all major supplies before arrival. There is a cafe and restaurant option as well.
We are pet friendly however all pets must be kept under control to keep the wildlife safe.
Campfires are permitted in our allocated fireplace except on days of total fire ban. Bring your own firewood or prebook a wheelbarrow full.

Nice BIG Unpowered Camp Site, Convenient location to everything in Port Arthur, Shower has electronic timer on it for 5 minutes, for the price of this HipCamp this should be removed.
All other amenities are good. Toilet block needs cleaning more often.

I had a great experience at this camping site! The team is very welcoming and charismatic, which made me feel at home from the start. The place has everything you need, with excellent facilities that cover all the essentials. On top of that, it’s very well located, making it easy to explore the surroundings. The camping space is really lovely, well organized, and well signposted, with great hot showers and good toilets, wild animals around, power points for the campervans are very good and easy to use, the receptionist is really very friendly, my husband and I spent the night and made a campfire, we had visits from birds and wallabies, it was a great experience.

Great spot nestled in between Westerway and Strathgordon to explore what the region has to offer. Andrew and Maree were a lovely couple. Very accommodating, very friendly and very knowledgeable of the local area. Directions were clear. They are just starting out so give them a go, highly recommend it. Their house is close by so respect is a must. The Cormarant bird in the pond was very entertaining.

Lovely peaceful site, plenty of space to relax. We enjoyed having a fire under the stars and visits from the local wildlife.
Easy access to the Mountain bike park and the local sites.
Hosts are really friendly and easy to deal with.

From the moment we arrived, Andrew and Maree were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. Their local knowledge was invaluable, helping us discover some hidden gems in the area that we wouldn’t have found otherwise.
The campsite itself was beautifully peaceful, perfect for relaxing and unwinding in nature. The facilities were well-maintained, and everything was clean and comfortable. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat or a base to explore the region, this place is an excellent choice.
