Our site (we have 1 site only) is positioned on a section of our 3 acre block that is totally private from our residence. We are located an easy 20 minute drive from Hobart airport. The site is not just in a paddock but is surrounded by beautiful native trees and garden - there is a small enclosed camp shelter with 15amp power for caravans and campervans. There is also a bench, sink, hot water, wood heater and a bar fridge. There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off after a swim. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. We have a deck positioned to pull up to next to the shed. Clifton Beach is a beachside community located on the south arm peninsula 25 minutes from Hobart city and is the closest surf beach to Hobart. The south arm peninsula itself has many great walks and beautiful beaches. It is a great spot to base yourself to explore Hobart and local attractions. e.g Port Arthur 90 minutes. Campers must be self contained with a toilet. Our Hipcamp site has full council approval.

Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast. Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles. At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't. The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. Located at the access to Tasman National Park, and sections of Cape Raoul and Shipstern Bluff. A great base from which to discover popular hiking, climbing, and world-renowned surfing in the area. There are Mountain biking options in the area but just not within the National Park. Campers must be nature-orientated travelers, this is not a place suitable for Port Arthur only tourists.

Weekend Trip to Coal River Retreat- Exclusive use

Great spot, by the river. Very quite except for 4am morning wake up call from a free range rooster across the river, but not enough to be any issue. Spotted a platypus very close in the morning which was a highlight. The site was easy to access. Great overnight stay.

Highly recommend! A wonderful spot for our family of four. We stayed for one night on our way out of Hobart and loved the beautiful setting, which was still conveniently close to the city. The amenities were fantastic for our family, and the fireplace was a lovely added touch. The outdoor shower was also great for a quick rinse. We really enjoyed our stay!

Weekend Trip to Craigbourne Estate

Callum came to meet us and even lent us a water pipe for our motorhome because ours was too short. Super responsive during our stay and such a beautiful farm. He also has a ton of impressive wood work in the barn next to the powered sites. Would deffo return and stay here next time I’m back

Amazing day out with Maria Island Cruises on the Ile Des Phoques ( Seal Island)/Maria Island walk. The walk around Maria Island was great with our cruise guide Freya. Quite hilly for those with mobility issues. Great trip!

Maria Island is a must-see destination in Tasmania in our opinion, it offers a unique blend of natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and fascinating convict history. We went twice, 1st we hired bikes and rode over 24klms. 2nd we did the cruise. We are in Tassie for the long haul on a one way ticket so had plenty of time to work in with the island and tassie weather. Choose to go on a good sunny day though is the key. If your time permits. Ferry at Triabunna is right on the water foreshore and super easy. I would allow the whole day and pack food to sustain you but not way you down weight wise. It is a long day to carry it all around.
