The property is surrounded by the Tyenna River and has an abundant of wildlife such as pademelons, possums, platypus, , Quolls, bandicoots, Eagles and other wildlife are frequently seen especially our resident echidna who wonders happily around the property. A footbridge across the river leads directly to Mount Field National Park, with the National Park Visitorâs Centre and the famous Russell Falls Waterfalls just meters away. The path passes through temperate tree fern rainforest, populated by glow worms. A minimum three nights stay is recommended as this area has so much to offer- Mt Fields walks and water falls- Junee caves- styx valley and land of the Giants- Strathgordon dam-creepy crawly walk-Lake Dobson- Rail track ride- Maydena adventure hub- Tassie bound adventures and you will need time to relax and enjoy Russell Falls cottages and the peaceful river, rain forest and birdlife.

Located in Southport, 15 minutes south of Dover, this is a great place to base yourself and explore the local region and all it has to offer. We are located within walking distance to the beach (250m), and the wharf (500m, and a great spot for fishing), and a short drive to Southport Tavern with take away shop 1.3kms (great meals).
There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by!
Camping here is for self-contained campers only, for those that have their own toilet. All waste is to be taken when you leave. We offer five-level grass sites with easy access.
Four have power and water hook-ups and one site with it close by. There is an enclosed campers kitchen, with hot water, gas BBQ, and a wood heater.

Finding us couldn't be easier , just turn right at the welcome to Franklin sign when driving from Huonville. Our gate has two big gum stumps as posts. Early arrival/ caravan drop off possible. please contact us to arrange
With big views up the Huon Valley and over the river, this campsite will be sure to provide a great stay.
The property is a 5 minute walk into the Historic town of Franklin, where there are are pubs and restaurants.
We have 2 flat sites and 3 slight gradient sites, all are far apart. All sites accessible by 2wd depending on weather.
There are no facilities, so the site is suitable for self contained campers only,
There is dump for toilet water. The site also has drinking water water available free.
Due to our children and our Alpaca on site pets must be kept on a leash.
Visiting children are welcome to help our kids feed Alpaca, just ask.

We live on a 3 acre farm with some beautiful views of Hartz view mountain in the lovely quiet Huon valley about 6 mins drive to the township of Cygnet, and 15mins to Kettering, were you can catch the ferry over to Bruny island.
We grow alot of our own fruits and veggies which you will get opportunity to see and taste when camping on our property.
We have a large fire pit, and a little private one, that youâre welcome to enjoy for cooking, or just for relaxing. We can provide fire wood for an additional fee.

A fabulous spot to camp! Less than an hour from Hobart and a short drive away from all the Derwent Valley has to offer!
This campground was easy to access in our 19ft caravan. Lots of green grass and space for the kids to run around and ride their bikes. Incredibly scenic and the sunrises were stunning!
We loved the addition of the fire pit with logs to sit on if needed.
Our host was lovely, extremely helpful and very responsive to my messages. Thanks!
