Come and stay for a day or two. Enjoy clean air, wildlife and our farm animals. Help feed them if you like. Enjoy the quiet life in Tasmania. Go for day drives and be back at night. Launceston is only just over 2 hours drive. Or just sit under the trees and let life pass you by. We came here and never left. Dog friendly but dogs must be kept under control. Campers need their own amenities as there is no toilet or showers.

Take the opportunity to enjoy this very special place on the lake to pitch a tent or park your van. You can lay back and star gaze the myriad of stars, and even take a jump off the pontoon into the beautiful cool waters, or bring your kayaks and paddle the shores. A great base to visit the Florentine valley, Mt Field and many other nearby attractions. The tranquillity and privacy will leave you a wonderful feeling of peace. This is a wonderful place to unwind, take a swim with your dog and just hang out with the very special access to the lagoon. There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. One vehicle per site, only one family group per site! If you have a family or group with more vehicles please book accordingly. I will not accept bookings that do not follow these guidelines. If you want the place to yourself feel free to book out all the sites if they are available!

Our property is situated on the edge of Maydena, surrounded by nature at its best. Ideally located for the mountain bike adventurer, with the world renowned Maydena Bike Park right on our doorstep. We are also surrounded by both Mt Field and South West National Parks as well as the Styx and Florentine valleys, home to some of Australia's tallest trees. Enjoy any number of activities including bushwalking, trout fishing, kayaking or simply just taking in the stunning views. We are offering self contained caravan accommodation as well as a private camp site for up to 2 vehicles. Campers must have their own amenities if staying at the campground, as there is no shower or toilet facilities. Nearest toilet and dump station is 1km away in the Maydena township. There are only basic supplies to be had at the post office, open Mon to Fri, so get all major supplies before arrival. There is a cafe and restaurant option as well. We are pet friendly however all pets must be kept under control to keep the wildlife safe. Campfires are permitted in our allocated fireplace except on days of total fire ban. Bring your own firewood or prebook a wheelbarrow full. Come and relax after your day of adventuring and enjoy the tranquillity of this ideal location.

Also offering six Riverside fully insulated warm Camping Pods with comfortably made beds with electric blankets. Camping sites also available. The property is surrounded by the Tyenna River and has an abundant of wildlife such as padymelons, possums, platypus and other wildlife are frequently seen especially our resident echidna who wonders happily around the property. A footbridge across the river leads directly to Mount Field National Park, with the National Park Visitor’s Centre and Cafe, the Charles Marriott Shelter (BBQ facilities and children’s playground), and Russell Falls minutes walk away. The path passes through temperate tree fern rainforest, populated by glow worms. A minimum three nights stay is recommended as this area has so much to offer- Mt Fields walks and water falls- Junee caves- styx valley and land of the Giants- Strathgordon dam-creepy crawly walk-Lake Dobson- Rail track ride- Maydena adventure hub- Tassie bound adventures and you will need time to relax and enjoy Russell Falls cottages and the peaceful river, rain forest and birdlife.
