Located in Southport, 15 minutes south of Dover, this is a great place to base yourself and explore the local region and all it has to offer. We are located within walking distance to the beach (250m), and the wharf (500m, and a great spot for fishing), and a short drive to Southport Tavern with take away shop 1.3kms (great meals). There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by! Camping here is for self-contained campers only, for those that have their own toilet. All waste is to be taken when you leave. We offer five-level grass sites with easy access. Four have power and water hook-ups and one site with it close by. There is an enclosed campers kitchen, with hot water, gas BBQ, and a wood heater. We had a lovely time at Colin's land. The views were great and having access to the camp kitchen was very helpful.

We found this slice of heaven perfect for our overnight stop whilst exploring the south end of Tasmania. With power, water and level lush grass green site, what more could you want Enjoyed our stay and happy to recommend to future travellers .

Great place to base yourself to explore the south coast. Can get a bit windy so factor that into your setup. Excellent camp kitchen and lots of bird life to see e.g. Flame Robbin, Sea Eagle, Black Swan. Stock up before you get there as only basics from the caravan park store available.

What a great spot! Beautiful views, so close to both water and farmland, with the bonus of the Rocket coffee stand being open while we were staying. A great opportunity to use some power to top up the battery. Thanks Colin!

Great site, spacious, grassed, water & power and reasonably dispersed. Camp kitchen looks good but was locked while we were there, but we didn’t need it.

Colin‘s camp site in Southport is in a very central and convenient place. Nice green grass around sites, easy to manoeuvre our campervan, nice and quiet, didn’t use the camp kitchen but looks like well stocked, only one other camper there so very private. We were on campsite four. Colin was very easy to communicate with and helpful.

This was a great place for a couple of nights while visiting Southport and Cockle Creek. Thanks Colin for your making your well kept property available, and for your quick and friendly communication and helpful information. We enjoyed our stay, the peace and quiet and great views.

A great find, campground was perfect l. close to beach and jetty, kids loved the space. camp.kitchen was well equipt and pot belly fire was great on a cold night. will stay again!

A great site for caravanning. Collin was very helpful and provided all of the required information prior to our arrival time including details on limited internet coverage. The site was easy to find and was well set up with access to a well equipt camp kitchen with pot-belly fire and wood available on site. sites were well marked out and provided ample room between vans. location was great, within walking distance to a very sheltered beach as well as a jetty which was great for fishing. the street was safe and the kids enjoyed riding between the site and the jetty. Southport is close to other nice towns and Hastings caves and convenient for day trips. would highly recommend to other travellers who are self contained, we will be back.

Excellent spot from which to explore the area. Sites roomy, quiet and private. Great value with power & water hookup. Camp kitchen a bonus. Great views to the water from the front of property and lovely herd of cows at back. Easy walk to beach and Jetty.

Beautiful quiet spot with great views over the bay and country side. Level site, great kitchen with pot belly heater & plenty of wood. Short stroll to pristine deserted beaches, 1km walk to the pub. Would stay there any time I’m in Southport, highly recommend.

Amazing spot! Great amenities, incredible view. So close to the beach. Such a perfect location to explore the areas like Cockle Creek without the stress of missing out on a campsite.

Very clean and organised sites. Overall Colin’s land is well maintained and clean. A nice camp kitchen. Easy access to Power and Water. All sites are levelled and heaps of room to place your motorhome in a great position with a great view looking over Water or grazing land. Nice big tree out the back with Cattle grazing at the adjoining block. Easy walking distance down to the white sand beaches, Public Toilets and Jetty of Southport. Very quiet and peaceful place to stay.

We were lucky enough to be the first visitors to Colins camp site it is a fantastic place for great value the best camp so far on Hipcamp highly recommended also the host Colin is quick to reply and can't do enough for you to make your stay fantastic
