The plot is nearly 3 acres and is earmarked conservation land and surrounded by neighbouring conservation land. This is your perfect lunawuni/Bruny Island escape! It is tucked away from the no-through gravel road and surrounded by Australian bush and wildlife with filtered water views of D'Entrecasteaux Channel and 100 m from the beach.
It's a tranquil heaven yet so close to all the famous Bruny sites and must dos:
Bruny oysters, beer and cheese (why not bring some to the campsite to enjoy?)
The Neck, Truganini Lookout + penguins!
Cape Queen Elizabeth Track and other hiking trails
Adventure Bay and *white wallabies
(*we give you a map on where to go to find the white wallabies!!)
South Bruny, and the Light house
When you book our site, you have it all to yourself! Except for sharing it with the wildlife, of course.
As the name suggests, there is a family of quolls living on the land and you are very likely to see them! Once dusk arrives and the stars start lighting up the sky, the quolls usually come out to say hi before they start their night activities. Joining the quolls, are the potoroos who are not afraid to come up close and sniff your feet in curiosity. If you are yet to see a quoll and a potoroo in the wild, this is your campsite!
Other wildlife includes the endangered Forty Spotted Pardalote and critically endangered Swift Parrots.
To access the beach, simply walk through the property to the end of the plot and follow the path. There is an echidna living near the road so keep an eye out for her.
The campsite is a perfect spot to see wildlife, and birds, and for photography.
On the campsite is a large outdoor kitchen with two sinks. Wait... is there a bathtub? Yes! The bathtub is great for a bush shower (byo solar shower) as the taps are not connected.
You must bring your own toilet.
Rainwater is available too, we have two tanks!
Campfires are allowed but you cannot collect firewood on the property. Please bring your own firewood or add it at the time of booking and we will provide you with firewood for your stay. The land is a conservation area and quolls are known to live in up to 5 nests. They live under the logs and it is an important habitat for the species. We love the quolls and know you will too so please do not disturb their homes.
The site is excellent for stargazing once nightfall arrives. Simply BYO a hammock (we have prepared the setup!) and lie down to watch the stars with a glass of red or a hot chocolate.
We recommend campervans for the site and it's only suited to self-contained campers leaving no trace behind.
Available on-site and free to use are also a director's chair and a table. The kitchen is also equipped with a double sink, dish rack, two buckets, BBQ tools, cutlery, and a dustpan. There is also a cleaning kit with biodegradable spray, hand sanitizer, and soap. There are also a set of caravan/van leveling ramps and chocks for you to freely use.
The site is perfect for those wishing to find privacy amongst an otherwise busy Island. Escape the tourists and experience Bruny Island like a local.

The Little Garden Farm is a small farm with a private and exclusive Campsite - The Woodlander. The Little Garden Farm is a 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we began improving in 2023. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter.
The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please).
The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips!
Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.

The beach is also home to the island's Fairy Penguins who return to their burrows in the sand dunes at dusk. The best viewing period is during the warmer months of September to February.
Bruny Island Cheese, Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Honey are a ten-minute drive north.
Adventure Bay with its Bowls Club, General Store and Service Station and coffee shop are a 15-minute drive south.
Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay.
15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. Alonnah is also home to the local Police Station, Pharmacy, Cricket Club, two great coffee shop options, and a skate bowl for the concrete shredders.
NOTE: your GPS is likely to send you several hundred metres south of the actual property entrance. Look for the small red Australian flag on the side of the road, indicating the location of the entrance. If you arrive at an old weatherboard cottage - you are at the right property, but the incorrect entrance to the campground.

Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast.
Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles.
At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't.
The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. This reconstructed building was once The Campania Scouts and guides, hall.

It is tucked away from the no-through gravel road and surrounded by Australian bush and wildlife with filtered water views of D'Entrecasteaux Channel and 100 m from the beach.
It's a tranquil heaven yet so close to all the famous Bruny sites and must dos:
Bruny oysters, beer and cheese (why not bring some to the campsite to enjoy?)
The Neck, Truganini Lookout + penguins!
Cape Queen Elizabeth Track and other hiking trails
Adventure Bay and *white wallabies

When you book our site, you have it all to yourself! Except for sharing it with the wildlife, of course.
As the name suggests, there is a family of quolls living on the land and you are very likely to see them! Once dusk arrives and the stars start lighting up the sky, the quolls usually come out to say hi before they start their night activities. Joining the quolls, are the potoroos who are not afraid to come up close and sniff your feet in curiosity. If you are yet to see a quoll and a potoroo in the wild, this is your campsite!
Other wildlife includes the endangered Forty Spotted Pardalote and critically endangered Swift Parrots.
To access the beach, simply walk through the property to the end of the plot and follow the path. There is an echidna living near the road so keep an eye out for her.
The campsite is a perfect spot to see wildlife, and birds, and for photography.
On the campsite is a large outdoor kitchen with two sinks. Wait... is there a bathtub? Yes! The bathtub is great for a bush shower (byo solar shower) as the taps are not connected.
You must bring your own toilet.
Rainwater is available too, we have two tanks!
Campfires are allowed but you cannot collect firewood on the property. Please bring your own firewood or add it at the time of booking and we will provide you with firewood for your stay. The land is a conservation area and quolls are known to live in up to 5 nests. They live under the logs and it is an important habitat for the species. We love the quolls and know you will too so please do not disturb their homes.
The site is excellent for stargazing once nightfall arrives. Simply BYO a hammock (we have prepared the setup!) and lie down to watch the stars with a glass of red or a hot chocolate.
We recommend campervans for the site and it's only suited to self-contained campers leaving no trace behind.
Available on-site and free to use are also a director's chair and a table. The kitchen is also equipped with a double sink, dish rack, two buckets, BBQ tools, cutlery, and a dustpan. There is also a cleaning kit with biodegradable spray, hand sanitizer, and soap. There are also a set of caravan/van leveling ramps and chocks for you to freely use.
The site is perfect for those wishing to find privacy amongst an otherwise busy Island. Escape the tourists and experience Bruny Island like a local.

The Little Garden Farm is a small farm with a private and exclusive Campsite - The Woodlander. The Little Garden Farm is a 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we began improving in 2023. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter.
The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please).
The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips!
Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.

A short walk along a path through the trees will have you standing on the iconic Neck ocean beach. This 11.5 kilometres of pristine sand and ocean offers surfing, swimming and fishing. The beach is also home to the island's Fairy Penguins who return to their burrows in the sand dunes at dusk. The best viewing period is during the warmer months of September to February.
Bruny Island Cheese, Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Honey are a ten-minute drive north.
Adventure Bay with its Bowls Club, General Store and Service Station and coffee shop are a 15-minute drive south.
Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay.
15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. Alonnah is also home to the local Police Station, Pharmacy, Cricket Club, two great coffee shop options, and a skate bowl for the concrete shredders.
NOTE: your GPS is likely to send you several hundred metres south of the actual property entrance. Look for the small red Australian flag on the side of the road, indicating the location of the entrance. If you arrive at an old weatherboard cottage - you are at the right property, but the incorrect entrance to the campground.

Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast.
Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles.
At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't.
The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. This reconstructed building was once The Campania Scouts and guides, hall.

Lovely 4 nights in Springer; private; very spacious sites; centrally located Hipcamp; less than 3 minute walk to beach; lovely to hear waves at night; beautiful blue wrens visited as did a possum at night. Ensure all food boxes are put away in vehicles…even if it isn’t possible for a possum to access the food, as they have a very strong sense of smell. We didn’t meet the owners, but they provided a generous amount of good quality firewood. Our fireplace was a concrete block structure. It felt quite stark though and didn’t radiate heat. A more inviting design would provide atmosphere for sitting around at night. The large property has so much potential. For a sunny February weekend, we were surprised to be the only campers on the Saturday night. There were only two other sites taken the previous two nights. Although we paid $10 less per night having booked several months in advance, a possible suggestion could be to reduce the nightly fee and this may encourage more campers. Even if all sites were full campers would still have so much space to themselves. In a return visit to Bruny Island, I would select Springer, due to the location within the property. followed by Fern and Marion . The surrounding trees creat a private and pleasant outlook for these two.

This was our first ever Hipcamp stay and it was the perfect experience. The property is absolutely stunning. The camp site was very flat with lovely green grass and surrounds, a creek, a swing, a large picnic table, fire pit and dog friendly. Kathryn is a gorgeous human - so kind, warm and friendly. She told us everything we needed to know, provided fire wood with fire lighters and matches, as well as delivered a warm jar of homemade jam that made Sunday breakfast extra special. We didn’t want to leave and my boys are already asking when we can go back. Thank you so much for having us Kathryn and Alex and for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.

A wonderful private Hipcamp, where you will be the only campers present. It was lovely hearing the little creek next to us flowing and to see the wallabies and blue wrens that came to visit us. Jenni and Mark are very friendly hosts and they have a well kept area. The location is ideal with a very scenic drive to Hobart. The Hipcamp is in walking distance to Longley International Hotel, which hosts numerous musicians throughout the year. The hotel has great atmosphere. Thanks again Jenni and Mark for a wonderful week that we spent on your property.

It's amazing the difference a few thoughtful fixtures can make to the comfort and ease of a camping experience. Loved this site, feels remote but nearby to lots of places and a great base to explore the island. Rachel was a helpful and quick communicator.

Grants directions were clear and helpful. The site only takes 3 vans at a time, Grant allows plenty of space between campers. It’s not a huge site but very pleasant view through the orchard.

Maree and Andy are a very friendly couple who have a beautiful, well maintained campsite, with a very picturesque outlook. It’s very private, as you are the only campers. A hammock and fireplace have also been provided. Printed and verbal local information was well received. Lovely to see lots of wallabies on the property. The walk around the Three Falls Circuit is a must. On another day drive to Lake Dobson and walk the circuit around this beautiful lake. Heaps of Alpine flowers and other stunning vegetation. When driving back a short walk on the Moorland Mosaic boardwalk names each flowering shrub and bush. The Twisted Sister tree is another very interesting walk whilst staying here. Thanks so much, Maree and Andy, for a very enjoyable stay.

Kath and Alex have created a truly wonderful site. We loved our 2 night camp. Super peaceful and private, we fell asleep to the sound of the waves across the road. Enough room for the dog and toddler to have a good play and we loved walking through and picking the last of the berries! Kath and Alex were lovely and really accommodating. They’ve taken great care an ensured there’s really easy access to the beach too.
We’re already planning to come back with friends!
