This property features all the elements required for a camping adventure. Located on Bruny Island on an open paddock in a bush setting, you will have 60 acres to explore or relax in complete privacy. Arrive here using Sealink Bruny Island ferry. and take the Blinkbonny Rd Turn off traveling for approx 500m from the corner. The campsite is best suited to self-contained 4WD campers who must bring their own toilet/shower facilities, drinking water and supplies. Pets on leashes are welcome. Campfires are permitted in the dedicated firepit. Take a stroll down to the beach and have a swim in the turquoise coloured water at Little Taylor Bay, or explore the bush and look for spotted par-ado, swift parrot, sea and nesting pair of wedge tail eagles, hawks, plovers, honey eaters, wrens, herons, brone wing pigeons just to name some of the birds. We also have a few of the famous white kangaroos, plus lots of smaller wallabies. There are good trails for hikes and mountain biking at the Mount Midway Forest Reserve and Mount Bruny Forest Reserve. Don't miss out on the Cape Bruny Lighthouse Tour - built in 1836, it's the only heritage listed lighthouse open for tours. Please stay within the property boundaries as shown, there is no access to Daniels Bay.This property features all the elements required for a camping adventure. What an amazing place to stay!! Plenty of room and places to explore. Big fire pot included and even a pile of wood!! Big area to camp and you get it all to yourself. Will definitely be back to explore more of the island 💁‍♀️💁‍♀️

Roger’s place has been fantastic. The block is sheer wilderness—rugged nature at its best, surrounded by chirping birds, wallabies hopping through the landscape, and an open fire crackling beneath a sky full of stars. Pure serenity.

Loved having a private camp-site to ourself and dog 🥰 no need to worry that it will be all packed out or no room for anything or disturbing anyone, Camp-site was beautiful awesome fire Pitt 👌 will be happy to book again with Roger thank you 😁😁

2nd stay here and looking forward to the next one. Great location, central to everything on the Island. Peaceful and best of all, you get it all to yourself. A reminder to people, please don't litter. Leave the camp better than you found it so everyone can enjoy these amazing places.

Quiet, private bush camp to base from whilst exploring the island! The site was clear, flat and a beautiful fireplace with wood was available. At night we watched the wallabies and tasmanian chickens come out. Beautiful spot!

Awesome camp spot. Peaceful, private and quiet which is rare to find on Bruny. Roger was incredibly generous with firewood and the site was level, well maintained and absolutely beautiful. The native Birdlife is stunning and will definitely be back.

Beautiful bush block in a gorgeous part of Bruny. Ideal spot to stay during the busy first week of Jan - we had the whole block to ourselves and loved being able to escape the crowds. Only a short drive to our favourite beach on Bruny - Cemetary Beach - where we swam and dogs were allowed. Very close to Bruny Island winery and not far from Alonnah for supplies if needed. Dump point at Alonnah also very handy. Would definitely recommend this block to other couples or families, we were very comfortable for the week we stayed and although we didn’t need to use a fire or the firewood that was left for us, it’s certainly a great addition. We were able to bring our dogs (on lead to protect the wildlife and not to spook the sheep). A well maintained bush block that we would love to stay at again!

Although the site was private and quiet, the track down to it is on a sloped paddock, so it was extremely muddy and slippery after the rain. We have an off-road set up and still got into an uncontrollable slide, which ended with us jack-knifing, so please be careful. We did message Roger but unfortunately didn't receive a response.

Camp 1, even the name is understated!. Maybe it could be called serenity or bliss or something similar. Just perfect ❤️. Quite and peaceful and private. Perfect thank you Roger.

Awesome spot! Lots of wide open space to set up and hang out in. Perfect spot if you want some privacy, away from the hustle and bustle of congested campsites. Fire pit is great, and Roger provided firewood for us too.

Beautiful quiet location with a beautiful fire pit. You camp and the bottom of the paddock a slight hill in and out got our old van and 4x4 in with no worries we will definitely return

What a beautiful spot. Secluded, quiet and very well maintained. Awesome fire pit and Roger even provided wood, how great! Spot is large and protected from the wind. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back.

What a special spot!
Bruny Island Bush Camp1
We absolutely loved our few days here. It was peaceful, private and so full of birds and wildlife - including a white wallaby! Our host left firewood and a fire pit for our use and suggested the most sheltered spot to camp (gale force winds elsewhere on the island but our spot was perfect) We would defenitely stay here again and recommend Rogers bush camp for anyone who loves camping under the stars, watching birds and enjoying a really special quiet spot on Sth Bruny.
