We had such a lovely stay at this hidden little gem. The campsite was peaceful, quiet, and beautifully tucked away off the beaten track. Set in an old quarry, it had a rustic charm that made it feel unique and relaxing, with little glimpses of the beach adding to the atmosphere.
One of the highlights was the friendly wildlife — we had wallabies and possums come visit us, which made the experience feel extra special and connected to nature. It was the perfect place to unwind, slow down, and escape the busy world for a while.
If you enjoy rustic camping, wildlife, and a peaceful setting with character, this spot is definitely worth visiting. We would happily come back again.

Perfect place to set up and explore from. Nice and sheltered from the wind but open for the beautiful Bruny sunshine. Judy was very helpful and left some wood for the fire pit which was very appreciated. Will definitely be back 😊

We loved our stay on Judy's hipcamp.
It was lovely and sheltered with little views of the bay.
Lovely Bush setting, peaceful and it is a great bonus to have firewood supplied.
My kids loved the quarry area up the back to play cricket.
Highly recommend for a private area for your family or with friends too.
(If you're a tent camper just bring an ample amount of tent pegs, few old rocks that you may hit😊)

The site is beautiful and peaceful. Only thing I would say is it isn't very suitable for tent camping - the ground is uneven and gravelly/rocky.

Very private, great location for getting to everything on the South Island.
Photos make it look like private waterfront but it’s a short walk down the driveway and over the road. Very quiet road.

What a wonderful little spot. Surrounded by bush and very private which we absolutely loved. There is ample space to spread out or have a group. There was plenty of firewood for the 5 nights we were there and Judy paid us a visit half way through to deliver more!!
For those who may be concerned about making it up the driveway we managed easily with our 7m long campervan as for caravans as they are slightly wider just take care it is very do-able.
We didn't swim at the site as the tide was always out but a we did do a 20 min cycle to cemetary beach which is a nice calm spot.
We hope to return sometime soon. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place Judy.

We loved this campsite, especially the beautiful trees, secluded location, soft grass, and campfire wood supplied. Judy and family were fabulous hosts and very generous with their hospitality!

Lovely and quiet, private with plenty of space to set up. Lower camp is sheltered from the wind only a short walk to the bay.
Supplied firewood is a bonus. Nothing here but nature, lots of birds, pademelons.
Im sure there are a lot of tourist things to do and see nearby but we wanted the quiet to unwind before the Xmas madness begins, worked a treat.

Great campsite in southern Bruny! The weather was terrible but we felt a bit protected at this grassy lovely campsite. Nice to wander down the hill to the water for a walk too. Fire pit and wood that was provided was much appreciated! Thanks so much, will definitely be back again 👍

We absolutely loved camping at South Bruny Paradise despite the weather! The site was roomy, green & protected by the wind! But best of all, we had the site all to ourselves which is really important to us while camping with our! Judy was so accommodating and fast at replying. We will definitely be back ⛺️

Loved our stay. Perfect for staying with 2 dogs who need their own space. Night flat bush area with stacks of firewood! Loved the serenity and the short walk down to the bay. Easy to find as per instructions. The dogs gave it 4 stars 🤩

Hidden treasure on Bruny. Site as described, and exactly what we needed. Our ford everest had no issues pulling our winsdor rapid expander caravan up the driveway to a flat large clearing. Fire pot and a great supply of fire wood on site was a great additional to the stay. We enjoyed our stay so much we have re-booked for another long weekend soon. We picked this site as it is an exclusive site, where we could camp by ourselves and take our doggies who don't cope well with caravan parks and that is exactly what we got. Communication with Judy was seamless and easy and we just wanted to say thanks again. Highly recommend this site for your next free camp, off grid camp.

Open reasonably level camp-site up on the hill with water glimpses through the trees. Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Enjoyed the wind through the sheoaks.

Lovely remote part of Bruny on a no through Road.
Single site, excellent for relaxing with dogs whilst exploring/ visiting nearby attractions, including the Lighthouse and Bruny hotel.
Elevated position right on Tailor Bay with water Glimpses from the site.

What a beautiful place, and what a beautiful island... quiet, secluded, protected, no annoying neighbours, our dogs loved being with us. The peace and quiet is what our souls needed!
Don't fear driveway from other reviews, a 2wd could do it no worries.

We loved camping at Judy's campsite. The campsite was nice and private and quiet with no one around. The kids got to see an echidna, possums and wallabies. We will definitely be back again hopefully soon.

Great sheltered spot from southerly winds. No other campers. Has coastal bay at driveway. Close for fishing off the land.. great to be able to have a fire and wood supplied. Leave no trace campspot.Had no troubles getting Avan in and out I loved it. Will be back again

Loved the well sheltered private site.
So tranquil. Being on the south side was also a bonus. By far the nicer side in my opinion.
Ground was a bit rocky but that was not a problem.
In all loved, loved our stay. Booked for 4 extended to 6 nights. Thanks Judy for being the perfect host.

Lovely last minute stay at Judy’s, it was an unexpected surprise to have the little patch to myself! Blissfully quiet, and a great big mound of firewood free to use. Just make sure you get directions first :)

We loved camping on Judy‘s property. It was very private and sheltered from the wind. Casuarina trees provided a beautiful canopy and we loved all the bird life and butterflies. A short walk to the beach which we could gaze at from our campsite was gorgeous! We also loved being close by to the Lighthouse and the incredible array of beaches that Bruny has to offer!
