You'll find many opportunities for hiking, with trails suitable for all ages and abilities. The closest dump point is a 9-minute drive to the “Town of Topiary” Railton, where you will find two charming coffee shops, a hotel, post office, a petrol station with a convenience store, a mechanic, a craft brewery and a takeaway shop. Railton boasts the delightful Goliath Park, with multiple recreational activities available including a tennis court, a pump track, skate park, covered barbeque and picnic area and playground. It’s also where you’ll find a trail head for the World Class Wild Mersey Mountain Bike Network, complete with toilets and wash down bays. Every Saturday morning, an idyllic bush setting hosts the Railton Park Run. Ten minutes up the road you’ll find Sheffield, the Town of Murals and further south, Cradle Mountain. This is a working farm, we have working dogs and sheep, so four-legged friends must remain on leash. Pitch your tent or park your van next to one of our lovely dams. The property is home to running streams, waterfalls, platypus, free range pigs, sheep along with stunning views. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the warmer months and lots of walking and exploring the rest of the year. Campers must be self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Camp fires are welcome pending there are no restrictions and they must be kept contained. Access can be difficult after heavy rainfall and you will need to drive through opened paddocks and unformed tracks to campsites so please use caution. We are just 20 mins drive to Ulverstone and a 10 minute drive to Leven canyon, Preston falls and Gunns Plains so there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. 60 minutes drive to Cradle Mountain and 90 mins drive Tullah West coast. 30 mins Penguin and Devonport.

We loved this spot, beautiful by the river and some alpacas for neighbours. The fire drum and firewood provided made our night very comfortable. No luck on the trout, but maybe that’s just a good excuse to come back. Could genuinely spend a week here, going in and out seeing the sights around the area. Easy booking, easy directions, 5 star Hipcamp!!!

We failed to follow the directions properly and ended up at Pauline's house. Pauline was friendly and helpful. The track to the campsite is downhill and at times tricky with a 17'6'' caravan but easily navigatable however 20' plus vans may find it challenging. The campsite is by the river and has a fire ring which we used. There is a portaloo further along from the campsite which we did not visit. When camping it is best to drive into the site then easily reverse out when leaving. The only downside to the campsite was that the grass was not cut and the long grass impeded access around the van.

Awesome spot by the Blythe River. We arrived late in the evening and the host still came out to greet us, which was really nice. The toilet and shower was a big win for us which saved us having to use the fresh water in our camper. The river is literally right next to the campground, giving easy access to running water. Had a memorable night by the river! Greatly recommended👍🏻

We loved our stay at Farm on Franklin, such a beautiful place we were greeted by Sarah at the property and were allowed to pick our own grassy spot by the river. This place is perfect for families and you can bring your pet, fire pots provided and short walks by the river add to the serenity. this place is only 10 minutes from Port Sorell and close to the national park. Easy to follow directions 5 minutes on a gravel road to get to the site, some telstra coverage with semi level sites that only took some minor leveling of our 21 ft van. we would love stay again and would highly recommend to quiet couples travelling with their pets. dump point and woolworths in Port Sorell

Lovely babbling brook to camp next to on a grassy large block, with plenty of room for other campers. Campfires allowed which was much appreciated, as it was really cold and wet the weekend we were there. We loved watching the horses in the nearby paddock get excited when their feed was delivered. We were very happy to find this hipcamp at short notice with a shower & toilet, as the pump in our van broke during the long weekend. Easy self access into the property.
