Country Camping in the Heart of Tasmania’s Wine Region Nestled among rolling hills and surrounded by established vineyards, our 16-acre property sits in the renowned Pipers River wine region — just 30 minutes from Launceston. We’re fortunate to back directly onto Russell & Suiter Wines, one of the region’s boutique vineyards. From our property, you can wander through the vines straight to their cellar door for a tasting — no need to drive, just a relaxed stroll through wine country. The land features gently undulating pastures, well-fenced paddocks, and wide-open skies perfect for stargazing. In the nearby paddock, sheep wander peacefully, adding to the true country feel of the property. Whether you’re pulling up in a van or parking a camper, you’ll find a private and peaceful spot to unwind and enjoy the sounds of nature. ⸻ What You’ll Love • Backing directly onto Russell & Suiter Wines — walk through the vineyard to the cellar door • Stunning vineyard and hillside views in every direction • Sheep grazing in nearby paddocks for a genuine rural atmosphere • Easy access to Tasmania’s best wineries and local produce • Wide-open paddocks ideal for sunset walks and wildlife spotting • Peaceful nights under a blanket of stars • Pet-friendly (on approval) ⸻ Activities Spend your days exploring the cellar doors and farm shops of the Pipers River wine region, starting right next door. Enjoy a wine tasting just steps away, then wander back to camp as the sun sets over the vines. Watch the sheep graze, keep an eye out for wallabies at dusk, light a campfire (season permitting), and soak up the fresh country air that makes this part of Tasmania so special. ⸻ Getting There We’re located about 30 minutes north of Launceston in the rolling hills of the Pipers River region. Access is easy via sealed roads, with a short gravel driveway leading onto the property. Suitable for most vehicles and small to medium campers. ⸻ Things to Know • BYO camping setup — no power or amenities yet (off-grid style) • Campfires permitted in raised pits when local fire restrictions allow • Please respect our land and take all rubbish with you • Pet considered — please message before bookingPear Tree Paddock is a grassy caravan and campervan site set beside our beautiful mature pear trees, with plum trees growing nearby.
