Pindari Park is a beautiful 130 acre CLIFF TOP property that offers both North and South views of the River Murray. Situated on the western bank (cliff side) overlooking the most Northerly point of the river and the township of Cadell SA. Our property does have a rocky underlay, due to the cliff, recommended that drill tent pegs are used. ALL CAMPERS ARE TO BRING THEIR OWN FIREWOOD, NO COLLECTION OF FIREWOOD ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. Pindari means “From the high ground” from the aboriginal origin and was originally apart of the Nor’ West Bend Station (est. 1850) that stretched from Overland Corner to Burra. The Nor’ West Bend Station next door is now a heritage listed private residence. With Pindari Park’s scattered native trees, saltbush and mallee shrubs bringing an abundance of wildlife to the property, sit back, relax and enjoy the serenity. While you sit at the camps sites, enjoy watching the Cadell Ferry, appreciate birds and wildlife, or just enjoy the river boats on their journey up or down our mighty River Murray. You just might be able to catch one of the cruise boats or paddle steamers cruise past, make sure you give them a wave as they pass by. Pindari Park has many gravel roads and tracks to follow for taking a hike/walk, however, please note that this property is on a cliff, therefore it may not be suitable for young children and caution must be taken at all times. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have 2 toilets available but please BYO toilet paper. Sorry, no pets. Been to this spot twice and will definitely be back. For how close it is to Adelaide, makes a weekend away so convenient. The track to the site is fairly rough and does require a larger vehicle for it to be comfortable, but the river and surrounding areas are worth the bumpy journey.

Such a beautiful spot, quiet with Murray River beside and the stars above you. I can’t recommend Pindari Park enough. I will definitely be back in a few weeks time 🙂

Weekend Trip to Pindari Park

Magnificent site overlooking the mighty Murray high on the clifftop. Had a lovely chat with Sue our host who had lots to share with us about the farm and her experiences. The sites are large and very well spaced so you don't have anyone close. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who doesn't have small kids as the cliff is a sheer drop.

1 night at Pymbroke Camp

We had The Gums - and the rest of the camping areas all to ourselves - and it was very peaceful - with fabulous birdlife chattering, feeding, squawking - set up camp right by the creek, watched the sun go down behind an old gum tree on the bank and watched the sun rise light onto the same bank. We rolled the portable fire out to where we we had set up camp, and the very clean long drop was in walking distance, but far enough away, to where we camped.

Weekend Trip to Woodland Scrub

Beautiful, quiet spot! Great property, lots of space for big groups and no worry about being too loud as you’re far away from neighbouring properties! Will definitely come back here again! Also Lynette was super friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with! 10/10 🫶
