Our property sits within the International Ramsar Wetlands. Come and enjoy the water birds, kangaroos, spectacular stargazing and wide open skies. Cheryl 0421 521 733This 20 acre working property is dedicated to our horses, dogs, birds and relaxing!You are welcome to wander into the big paddock to access the walking trails and continue on to explore the scrub area where many native birds come and go including kookaburras.The line of trees planted in the gully area are dedicated koala forage trees so also wander down there and have a look and see if you can spot one.Your relaxed property walk will take you past paddocked sheep (they may run up to you if they think you have something for them to eat. Cut apples or carrots into pieces for them ) Rams and Whethers are together in their own paddock, alpacas and Bobby are in with the Ewes and any lambs at the time protecting them from predators in another paddock.There are horses, Dallas the mule (please do not enter their paddocks) , wild ducks at the dam, as well as our ducks and geese if they are out of their enclosure that day. There are raceways between all paddocks to continue your walk all around the property. Beware of the electric fencing though, it hurts if you touch it!We also have some very friendly chooks and turkeys that LOVE to say hello and be hand fed chopped up pieces of apple, carrot, grapes and especially watermelon! Feel free to give them any food scraps you might have. We also have a family of magpies will enjoy any meat scraps you leave for them too.Dallas, our mule is always up for a bit of attention and any apples or carrots you might like to share with him.Dallas is rather special as his dad is a "mammoth donkey" who has been imported from America. His mum is a stunning thoroughbred. Mammoth donkeys are a bigger/taller breed of donkey than Australian donkeys are. They are beginning to be used up north on stations instead of horses as mules are sturdier, more sure footed, not as flighty as horses so safer for stock men and women to use working with cattle. They can live into their late 30,s so have a longer working life as well. Dallas was born in 2023Campsites 1, 2 and 3 are on the right hand side as you drive in via the automatic opening gate which you will be given access to once we have added your mobile number to the system after you have booked. We are currently planting more native shrubs and trees in this area to encourage even more bird life plus provide future windbreaks and further divide sites. From this area you will see the most spectacular sunsets and be able to have an open campfire during winter season.The Dam It site, Tree line site and Solar paddock site are through another gate on the left hand side opposite site 3/ the paddock with the solar panels in it before you reach our residence, aviaries and toilet.It is also through this gate you go to access the walking trails.Besides sitting back relaxing reading a book with a nice local wine in your hand there are other nearby options to fill your days while staying on our property.Take a short drive down Goldsfield Rd to the Mining Museum and hiking trails. A few KM's towards Williamstown stop in and see the Whispering Wall, built between 1899 and 1903, for its time of construction the dam was deemed a revolutionary engineering marvel. Sounds and voices, even a whisper can be clearly heard at the other end of the dam more then 100 meters away.Continue on through Williamstown and hire a kayak and explore the Warren Reservoir with the resident pelicans. The Warren reservoir was built on the South Para River between 1914 and 1916. Mt Crawford forest is then another short drive on where you can hike, ride and picnic and be guaranteed to see kangaroos in their natural habitat.We are also ideally located being at the gateway to numerous wineries, take your e-bike and explore the towns in the Barossa Valley which are linked with rose lined bitumen trails, explore the shops, cafes and enjoy delectable food, stop in at the Lavender Farm, treat yourself to a scenic flights with Barossa Helicopters or challenge yourself at Barossa Bowland and fantastic themed Dinosaur mini golf just to name even more options!Less than 10 minute drive from our front gate will have you at the lovely town of Lyndoch where the local IGA is a handy stop for those emergency essentials as well as the local bakery, craft shop, pub, post office, Lord of Lyndoch restaurant, Table Cafe Kies winery for starters. 10 Minures the other direction will see you at a new suburb Springwood which has a variety of shops and a Chemist, couple minutes further will have you at the lovely town of Gawler. The visitor center here is also home to local artists to exhibit their works.Like to kayak? Well a short drive will take you to spectacular opportunities to do so. Hire is also available at the site at different times of the year.Love exploring by bike? You are at the heartland of multiple trails you can access too. This is a Farmhouse with all the feels of comfy homestead. The property was originally a dairy and has the original ruins of the old homesteads. It is boarded by currency creek which flows with crystal clear water from spring all year round, which is a wondrous track to hike around and enjoy beautiful views of the inlets and creeks to the lower lakes. We have invited for you to bring your dog along but The pets are not allowed inside the house. The space This is a Farmhouse with all the feels of comfy homestead. The house was built approx 80 years ago by the farmers family. The big solid walls, are laid concrete by the farmer and his young son, from the materials on the property. It has recently been rewired and fully re plumbed all to make safe and usable. The floorboards are all sanded and polished and a new lick of paint has made the property fresh and inviting. The property was originally a dairy and has the original ruins of the old homesteads and dairy buildings from generations before. The property is now used for cattle and sheep and crops and is about 1000 acres. It is boarded by currency creek which flows with crystal clear water from spring all year round, which is a wondrous track to hike around and enjoy beautiful views of the inlets and creeks to the lower lakes. The farmhouse is surrounded by huge pine trees and gums, and there is an easy access turn around driveway and plenty of parking. The property is only a short distance from Goolwa , Middleton and Victor Harbor. In the future the plans are to have a veggie garden for tenants to pick from and chickens and ducks and small animals to associate with. There are cattle with calves and sheep in the neighboring paddocks. We have invited for you to bring your dog along but at this stage they will have to be tethered at all times so they do not escape and interfere with stock. This is for their safety as well. The pets are not allowed inside the house.

I camped in my HiAce Campervan on site 3. I was close to the toilet. Their birds were very entertaining especially the cockatoo beside the toilet who said hello, and what cha doing? As you entered the loo. Lots of animals, sheep, lama, horses . Lovely view towards the west from my camp. Unfortunately not a spectacular sunset the night I was there. Cheryl communicated well, though I didn’t see the owners.

Thanks so much for letting us stay at your beautiful place! We had such a lovely weekend short, but really special and relaxing. It was so peaceful waking up to the sheep wandering by in the mornings, and we absolutely adored the friendly little dog who came to play catch. Those small moments made our stay feel so warm and homely. Everything about the place was perfect clean, comfortable, and full of charm. We’re so grateful for the experience and would love to come back again one day!

Lovely area, so many visiting farm animals! We ended up staying at the site next to the dam, as recommended by the host due to the wind and being able to use a fire. There was a lovely fire pit, and table and chairs there for us to use. And plenty of kindling stacked up for us. The host was great with quick communication.

Gooses Pond is a lovely peaceful camp in a large paddock with spectacular views. Sites were well spaced, so quite private. There was a flushing toilet as well as an undercover area to use. Firewood is available to purchase and host Billie-Jo was so helpful and friendly.

My wife and I came for a night away and were amazed by the huge open space! Was great to be able to see the hills, watch the helicopters come and go and even say hello to the cows. Great to see there was a functional toilet to use as we were camping in our swag (I would recommend maybe a light for inside the toilets when it’s dark). Great little shelter provided that we were lucky enough to use for the night to keep out the sun, as we just had our swag set up. Pet friendly was a bonus for us- the dog loved being able to adventure around! We’ll be back for sure, this place is a hidden gem. Thanks Billie-Jo!

In all honesty, when I was first asked to leave a review, my initial thought was no — simply because the place is so good I didn’t want to share the secret with anyone else! In all seriousness though, this spot is absolutely awesome. We had a camper van so we were well set up, but the location itself is what makes it so special — secluded, surrounded by lush green fields, with the most incredible backdrop of the hills. It was peaceful, relaxing, and honestly just sublime. We didn’t know exactly what to expect, but it exceeded every expectation. There’s a little shed that provides shelter plus a toilet that was super clean and actually flushes (I was half-expecting a long drop, so this was a very pleasant surprise!). The host was so friendly and accommodating, which just added to the experience. We’ll 100% be back — in droves next time! If I could offer one small suggestion, it would be to add some comfy seating in the sheltered area — maybe a couch or a few cushioned chairs. We brought our own fire pit and camp chairs, which worked perfectly, but a cozy seating setup would be a really nice bonus. Either way, this place is an absolute gem. Thank you so much for having us — can’t wait to return!
