We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy. Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding. There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided). The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ in the outdoor room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only lighting provided from a small solar panel/battery. Extra guests welcome in tents, swags or vans adjacent to the cottage. To ensure only one group of campers at a time, THE COTTAGE HAS TO BE BOOKED FIRST, then book the extra campers through the additional campsites listing. Seven Sisters is a hilly grassland with wooded areas, creeks and rocky outcrops to explore. Anywhere within our boundary fence is there for you to explore. Our sites on the property are easily accessed. 2 sites on our farm road with a 4th site set at the back of the property which is very secluded. All sites have seasonal fire pits. Great spot for a quick stay. Toilet was immaculately clean, view was gorgeous. Instructions to get to camp very clear. We couldn't find a number 4 on any trees so went a little past 3 and set up - we were the only campers. There is a bee hive active on one of the trees at the moment, but we were far enough away not to be bothered. Absolutely stunning night time sky.

Lovely views from the hill line out to the west and south from SevenHill. Open space for multiple vehicles if needed. Easy to park up. Due to the exposed nature of the site, better for vans and hard shell camping, not ideal for tents if the weather turns.

We had the lovely secluded Moss Rock site which provided good protection from wind and was surrounded by beautiful trees. There were amazing views a short walk away along ridge line. Composting toilet was spotless. Communication with Chris, excellent.

Weekend Trip to Cartapo Creek - Farm Stay

Oliver and Chloe were great hosts. The area was cut and ready for us to settle in and relax. The farm location was close enough to go in and spend a great day looking around Burra. And then being far enough away from the traffic and bustle to return to our site and relax and enjoy the sunset. Lovely spot. Would definitely stay again.

I had a great stay and thank you to Alex for being so positive in opening up his property to motorcycle camping. I had the property to myself and found a great spot to pitch my tent. Campsite 11 had fantastic views across the valley and it was nice to sit back and watch the setting sun. I’ll definitely be planning another adventure.

1 night at Tarlee - Serenity

Our host was lovely and welcoming and the campsite was perfect. A lovely outlook of trees and open farmland. Peaceful with only the sounds of sheep and birds for company. We’ll definitely be keeping this one on our list of stays in future.

3 nights at Tarlee - Serenity

Great spot to stay off grid with 6-7 individual sites on the property. Some sites are close enough together that you could stay with a group but still have your own space. Only one other caravan there when we stayed so we were very secluded and couldn’t see them directly from our site. Good size long drop toilet area with motion lighting for night use. Very clean. Hosts were friendly though we rarely saw them. $25 for a decent size container of firewood delivered to our site seemed pretty reasonable. It’s a natural area, so the sites have a small slope and you might need some extra caravan levellers pending your setup and site. Easy drive to Clare and Burra. Our dogs loved the property’s dam! Our favourite Hip Camp so far. 😊

Weekend Trip to Heggies Hill Bush Camp

Funnily we were drawn to the constant comments about how great the toilets were, and to be honest, they were incredible with festoon lights at night. View was amazing, communication great, highly recommend! just watch the flies in November.
