Vagabond Panorama Camp offers something truly special. Set your rig up and kick back at our hilltop campsites, with stunningly beautiful panoramic views of the Flinders Ranges and Spencer Gulf. The location is hard to beat. Fantastic for swimming, kayaking and fishing, with a nearby boat ramp. There's also a community garden and public BBQs close to camp, as well as a sandy beach with mangroves, and a walking track that takes you around the island. Campers must be self-contained as we don't have toilet or shower facilities. You'll have access to water onsite. And you're welcome to bring your pet along! Town is just 10-minute drive away for your essentials.Set up your caravan or camper, or motorhome and enjoy the incredible sunset on the Gulf and the sunrise on the Flinders Ranges. A quiet spot with beautiful scenery. Camp-fire allowed only in the fire pit. Walk down to the sandy mangrove beach and check out the old wreck ship. Use the boat ramp, and enjoy boating, kayaking or fishing. Or hit the biking track and walking route around the island. Only self-contained campers are allowed because we don't have toilet and shower possibilities at the moment, but working on it for the future. A public toilet and outdoor shower are available down at the end of the street (a 5min walk). BBQ facilities are available at the boat ramp which is just 500 meters from our place. Quiet hours between 10pm-8am. We respect the peace of the place; parties and noise are not allowed. Pets welcome!

Camp on Weeroona Island
Tent · With kids ·
Overall it was a good experience. Pros - Very beautiful view at the top of the island, Beautiful location on a small island with beautiful mangroves around , very good kayaing location, good privacy. Cons - Camp Location is not well maintained by owners with lot of bushes and wild grass all over, Lots of mosquito's and big Ants all over camp ground and shed area too. If owner could have got rid of wild bushes ,clean the ground a bit, clean the shed area, got rid of Ants with sprays and insecticides ,then it would have been amazing place to stay and we could then thunk of visiting there again.

Unfortunately just not right.
Tent · Group trip ·
Nothing is the same as the pictures. No place to relax, only a patch of dirt and no shade or lounges to utilise. A camera is also setup looking right at the shower, however the outdoor shower is not in use it didn’t make us feel all that safe. Could be the best place on hipcamp, but unfortunately the owner needs to take much more care before guests arrive. The owner has been notified of my thoughts but believes the issue is that I want a toilet and shower, I understand this is not the case. However pictures in advertisement are misleading. As is the whole property.

Great getaway near the sea

Amazing views of the Flinders Rangers and the Gulf. There is a very decent public toilet and open shower 5 minute walk or 1 minute drive. Hosts are helpful and amiable. Perfect as a base camp to explore the Flinders Rngers and about. Definitely coming back again.

Great views if you can find it.

Although the view was to die for, awesome Flinders Ranges and the sea, overall the camp site was not for us. No number on the gate making it difficult to find. Land was portioned off piece of backyard, no markings as to where we should park. Didn't see the host the whole time we were there. Water was to be available but it was being used by a permanent caravan, who was the only other person there. Bin was overflowing, before we could use it. Shame as the owner could make it a nice place with a bit of effort. Seemed expensive for a view.

Really quiet spot with an awesome view across to the southern Flinders Ranges and the Spencer Gulf. The block has a natural slope and some gravel hard stand areas. We had a rooftop tent and we were able to find a comfortable location that wasn't too steep.
