We have a large heavily wooded paddock area suitable for open camping / self sufficient caravans and ample room for manuevering / site selection. We have bore water available which is drinkable, but more suited to washing / rinsing dishes etc.
Access is easy with plenty of areas to turn around. We have a range of livestock to visit including pigs, sheep and dairy cows which are available to milk at certain times of the year. We occasionally have spare fresh eggs from our chickens which you are welcome to help yourself to. We also have a paddock to plate meat business and can provide farm fresh meat including pork, beef, lamb or chicken subject to availability. Please message to organise a BBQ pack before your arrival if required. Some suggestions for your visit to the area:

Cartapo Creek Farm Stay is a delightful spot for families and animal lovers, offering a peaceful escape in a scenic rural setting. Guests consistently praise hosts Oliver and Chloe for their warm hospitality and the unique experience of interacting with farm animals like cows, pigs, and chickens. While the farm lacks shower facilities, the spacious and well-maintained campsites, along with activities such as animal feeding and stargazing, make for a memorable camping experience. The option to purchase local produce, like lamb chops and free-range eggs, adds to the farm's charm.
Absolutely gorgeous place to stay for a few night. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Was awesome seeing the cows, pigs, chickens, sheep and peacocks as well.
We just got back from a two night stay, beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Hosts are great, very welcoming and very accommodating. Highly recommend 😊
A quiet relaxing camp stay
The animals were a hit with the kids
Stargazing was incredible
Campfires at night to keep warm
A huge thanks to Chloe for our egg and firewood delivery
We will definitely be back when we need to unwind in the quiet again!
We had such a lovely stay camping here! The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful with great communication throughout our trip. They even helped us out with a flat battery which we really appreciated. The campsite itself was peaceful, beautiful and well maintained with great facilities. We especially loved all the cute farm animals — they made the stay extra special. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again!
A great location. The area for campers is spaced out with great views of neighbouring paddocks. Chloe is down to earth and took the time to include the kids in the farms animal feeding. Being able to wander around and see and pat the animals was a great experience. Being able to purchase local produce from the farm was handy. Close to Jamestown and burra, well worth a drive to. Will be returning.
An absolute perfect place to stay, so relaxing & our kids absolutely loved feeding the farm animals! Would highly recommend and we will be back. The lamb chops and bbq pack were delicious! Thankyou Oliver & Chloe for having us
Beautiful farm, spacious grassy sites,
cute animals and friendly hosts, we couldn’t ask for more. Thanks for having us, we would love to come back one day.
Had a lovely 2 night stay at Oliver and Chloe’s farm! The animals were awesome (especially the llamas!) and my kids had a great time with their bikes and go cart down the hill! We were going to stay for 3 nights but with no shower facilities (yet) it was a bit much for the kids. Would love to come back once the shower block is completed! Hosts were very friendly and lovely to chat with!
We loved our stay. Hosts were lovely and welcoming. The camp spot was spacious and clean. So much fun for the kids to explore - the animal feedings were a huge hit. Will definitely be back, and will recommend to everyone!
An absolutely amazing experience for the whole family. A super peaceful and relaxing stay where the kids were able to explore, fed and pat the animals.
Absolutely fabulous camp and lovely owners Oliver and Chloe. Made me feel so welcome. Can't wait to come back again especially when can have a campfire. So many animals to see. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend
Thanks so much.
Oliver and Chloe were great hosts.
The area was cut and ready for us to settle in and relax. The farm location was close enough to go in and spend a great day looking around Burra. And then being far enough away from the traffic and bustle to return to our site and relax and enjoy the sunset.
Lovely spot. Would definitely stay again.
Absolutely outstanding stay in our caravan! What a wicked family, very friendly and gave us great information while traveling. Would 100% recommend this Hipcamp for anyone going through. Great location and the animals were so friendly! Can’t wait to head back
We enjoyed staying at Cartapo Creek Farm Stay with Chloe and Oliver. They're a lovely young couple, very welcoming, nothing too much trouble. We had the entire camp ground to ourselves, peaceful, stunning rural setting. We purchased some meat from them and had a camp fire, it was what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle. A nice drive into Burra, stunning farm land, rolling hills and green pastures.
Picturesque farm stay with lovely views over surrounding paddocks and range. Hosts are superb friendly and lovely people. Diverse range of farm animals, which is great for kids. The camping sites are well spaced, with trees in between, so we felt we had our own space. Property is well situated for exploring the mid-North and Clare Valley.
We just spent three nights at Cartapo Farm Stay and absolutely loved it. It’s bush camping at its best, with the added security of being able to leave the van and head into the lovely town of Burra for a look around. My granddaughter especially enjoyed feeding the pigs, which was such a highlight for her.
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and the fire at night made for a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. It was such a peaceful stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to spend a few days exploring Burra.
I had a lovely 2 night stay at Cartapo Creek. The arrival instructions and communication were really clear, with clear signage. I ordered some firewood which was ready and waiting, and was a good mixture of kindling and larger logs. My lamb chops for dinner were delicious! I was at site 1 which is the furthest from the house and felt very private. There was someone on Site 3 for one night, close enough to be aware of them but not close enough to impact on my stay.
The camp is set on a nice small holding with plenty of stock for the kids to see, and is a perfect place to relax with a camp fire, glass of wine and a group of friends
We had a wonderful weekend at the farm! Waking up to the amazing views was such a treat, and the kids loved feeding the pigs and watching the sheep. Evenings by the fire, roasting marshmallows, were the best. The whole experience was relaxing, family-friendly, and memorable. We’ll definitely be back!
Perfect for a couple of nights. If you are looking for something a little bit off the beaten track, this is the place for you! Quiet ,yet close enough to historic Burra to get some essentials and do some exploring! Chloe was the perfect host , showing us a newborn calf. Can’t wait to try some of their BBQ meat. 5🌟
Great family ran farm stay.
Kids loved the daily animal feeding sessions.
Great friendly hosts, great spot to enjoy the farm life and just relax.
Highly recommend
