Amazing site. Had fun camping at Site 3. Table, chairs and a swing. Plenty of space and dedicated fire pit. One of my best camping trips in heavy rain, cooking by the side of fire with light music and cold breeze. Will definitely come back and recommend this to others.

We loved it Cooinda Retreats in the prime spot (site 2b), with amazing views, beautiful camp ground, amazing camp kitchen and close proximity to Victor Harbor. We will be back.

2 nights at Alma's Hem Amphitheatre and Retreat

Firstly, Kylie was a wonderful host and her 3 dogs were super friendly and polite. We felt very welcomed. Each site was very spacious and set apart from other camping sites in the area. My son and I had more than ample space to play cricket, soccer, frisbee, etc. The surrounding landscape was absolutely stunning and picturesque. At night, it was pitch black and quiet (except for the occasional mooing of cows), perfect for stargazing and switching off. There were plenty of kangaroos that passed through and grazed nearby too. We were at Site 2 and the toilets were conveniently close (about a few minutes walk). The toilets were clean and well maintained. Nearby the toilets are taps that provide rainwater, which we also found to be very handy. Location wise, it's close by Victor Harbor if you need to pop in for supplies and a proper meal. We also had brunch at a nearby (only 5 min drive) cafe called Belicious on the morning we left. They served Belgian waffles as their specialty, which we found to be deliciously comforting after a few days of camping. Overall, my family had such an amazing time together at Alma's Hem. We would not hesitate to go back again, and thoroughly recommend this site to other campers looking for an easy, relaxing and memorable stay.

This find is honestly a hidden gem. The view and the atmosphere were amazing. We saw so much wildlife, as well as spent time with the owners dogs. It was a wholesome experience, and I’ll definitely be back!

Lovely location, big sites with table, chairs and fire pits. Amazing location to run or ride the Heysen Trail and surrounds. Drop toilet and general site was kept very clean and tidy. Take a gas bottle to hook up to the shower system if you want a warm one!

Beautiful spacious property with basic amenities if you needed them but blended in with the environment and natural beauty of the area. The young children we saw whilst there had the time of their lives. Easy access to surrounding areas. Loved our four nights here. Thanks Mark!

2 nights at Breakaway Farmstay

We loved our stay at Wagon Flat, although it was too short. Robert was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our chats. We preferred the unpowered sites among the trees and the animals rather than being by the house and too near other campers. We were a group of three vans and this was our kind of camping. Very convenient location to visit friends in Victor Harbor, ride the Cockle Train and see the area. We would love to return.

The site was nestled between the trees and it provided much needed shelter. The camp sites are spacious and it does not feel crowded at all. Views are beautiful when taking a walk.

Private and plenty open space to explore with the kids. A welcome relief to the bisy caravan park. Nestled in a valley with native wildlife coming and going. Norm was great and the kids and adults enjoyed feeding the Alpacas. With Normanville, Victor and Deep Creek near by it was a good base for our adventure.

The Scrub Campsite - Inman Valley

Inglewood is a 130-acre property currently running beef cattle and sheep. The property has 15 acres of remnant stringy bark scrub which abuts the Heysen Trail. This private campsite is contained within the scrub although campers have access to the whole property. There are 13 bespoke sites available. The owner has the right to assist campers when choosing their site. This is determined by factors such as type of accommodation, group size. access to toilet and communal areas, weather and privacy needs. Specific sites cannot be reserved unless by prior arrangement with the owner. We offer sites suitable for camper trailers, campervans, , rooftop tents, tents and swags and pop top caravans (sorry, no large caravans). During the non fire ban period all fires must be contained in the fire pits provided. Please bring firewood if you intend to have a campfire for an extended period or you may purchase wood for $15 for 20 kgs. All bookings will be cancelled if a severe or catastophic fire is forecast by the weather bureau. Campers can claim a refund from Hipcamp A communal camp kitchen, barbecue, rain water and tables available. A composting toilet is available as is a shower system. Colloquially known as God's Country the property is conveniently located 1hr 20 mins from Adelaide, 14 mins from Victor Harbor, and 20 mins from Pt Elliot, Middleton, Waitpinga and Parson's beach, Hindmarsh Falls and Normanville. Other nearby localities are Deep Creek National Park, Newland Conservation Park, Springmount National Park, Granite Island and the Kangaroo Island ferry. The popular Belicious Belgium Cafe is a 60 min walk or 5 minute drive from the campsite. Walkers on the Heysen trail can access the campsite 100 metres away. (Keen Road entrance) Please note that the campsite has a no noise/music policy after 10pm. Noisy campers has been my biggest complaint so please respect others and adhere to the policy. Children must be supervised at all times. Please note that a fenced off dam is located near the campsite and is out of bounds to all children unless supervised by an adult. Rubbish must be removed by all campers as no bins are available. The whole campsite can be hired exclusively for large groups - contact me direct for booking details and costs. A wood package can be purchased for $50 the communal fire circle. The Scrub Campsite was honored to have won 1st place for best campsite in South Australia for 2024. Great location, best opportunity to spend time on the farm amongst the animals and nature. We are a small Farmstay in the heart of the Fleurieu Peninsula just out side Victor Harbor in Waitpinga. Powered and unpowered sites have use of bathroom facility. Waggon Flat campers do not have access to facilities. Limited Telstra ph service and no wifi. And For Something New, Your welcome to visit our Onsite Distillery. Moo's Distillery is open Friday's to Sunday to taste new and vibrant Gins. If your hungry also try a pizza for Dinner. ***** We welcome you to make a booking with us at Breakaway Farmstay but when booking please make sure all your details are correct.
