In 2019 I was sitting in my Alfresco Area feeling that the beauty offered in front of my property should be shared to people I thought might appreciate a different aspect to Coober. Since that time I have probably had 2000+ guests enjoy what Coober Pedy Views has to offer.
Whilst it remains a rustic type setting, with campers needing to be SELF SUFFICIENT (CURRENTLY NO PUBLIC AMMENITIES AVAILABLE) Current Building Project - FLUSHING LOO Completion Est'd End of October '25 - I can offer Power (subject to availability) to 6/8 sites.
Digging anywhere on the property is forbidden, there are no Opals on CPVs evident when the 3 large garages were dug. Digging softens the ground making it dangerous for avalanches on the embankments and walls especially after rain that creates washouts as you can see on the front embankments and the ugliness makes me sad to see. Our Public Noodling Area is the only place in Coober safe to dig freely.

Whilst it remains a rustic type setting, with campers needing to be SELF SUFFICIENT (CURRENTLY NO PUBLIC AMMENITIES AVAILABLE) Current Building Project - FLUSHING LOO Completion Est'd End of October '25 - I can offer Power (subject to availability) to 6/8 sites.
Digging anywhere on the property is forbidden, there are no Opals on CPVs evident when the 3 large garages were dug. Digging softens the ground making it dangerous for avalanches on the embankments and walls especially after rain that creates washouts as you can see on the front embankments and the ugliness makes me sad to see. Our Public Noodling Area is the only place in Coober safe to dig freely.

The toilets and showers were clean, the scenery was beautiful, and the large grassy area along with the sand play area for the kids made it absolutely perfect! We were sad to stay for only one night—it wasn’t nearly enough. We’ll definitely be back, and next time we’re planning to stay for a few more days 😊

Amazing spot!! We had our 4wd with rooftop tent on site 5a and it was perfect for us and our pup! The site is a 2 minute drive away from Victor Harbour centre so it makes for a really good base camp. Cooinda is super clean with nice green grass everywhere to setup on. The toilets and showers were nice and clean aswell.

Beautifully kept campsite with brilliant kitchen, toilets and showers. Clean and felt private yet inclusive. The caretakers are absolutely lovely and would check to make sure things were ok. Would love to stay here again. Really really enjoyed staying here. They even have dedicated spots for dog owners that is fenced off so pets can be left safe if need be. Would recommend any day of the week!

The views were truly impeccable. Waking up surrounded by the Flinders Ranges felt so special. We saw an incredible amount of wildlife during our stay, including sheep, big birds, kangaroos, and emus, which made the whole experience even more memorable.
The location is perfect, with a short drive to some truly stunning lookouts and walks. We also highly recommend checking out the Woolshed Restaurant - the food and wine were absolutely amazing and such a great addition to the stay.
Such a special place with an incredible atmosphere. We will most definitely be back.

What an incredible piece of heaven. It was our very first time camping and the groundskeeper Guy was so nice. He showed us a few ropes (literally) and assisted making our stay the absolute best. I am definitely coming back.

Cooinda was incredible. We stayed at site 2B, a premium spot with power access and a very spacious area. The view was absolutely stunning.
The bathrooms and showers were always spotless, and the camp kitchen is large and well equipped (you just need to bring your own utensils).
The staff were very friendly and welcoming from start to finish. It’s a shame we couldn’t stay longer — we’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful camp site,with very helpful and kind staff. Toilets and showers were clean and welcoming. We had amazing few days, made some great memories and we would certainly go back in the future!

With kids
really liked the place , it’s very spacious and has two lakes.
We only used one of the lakes because someone was camping right at the entrance of the other one, which felt a bit strange as it didn’t really give others a chance to launch their kayaks. Luckily, there was another lake available.
I absolutely loved the alpacas/llamas , they were adorable and such a lovely, unexpected highlight of the stay.
I would definitely stay there again 🙂
